2024-10-20 01:29:30 +0000 UTCits interesting the difference you both feel about the pacing because when I first watched Alabasta Saga I was super anxious and wanted them to just get to it, like go faster. and then after i watched it every rewatched I've appreciated the pacing more and just vibe the whole time. also for me this was a feeling unique to the Alabasta saga. I don't know if thats like Oda writing or what, looking back for me is feels like you're sharing Vivi's impatience and worry. Also Oda doesn't believe in unimportant characters. Nearly every named character in one piece has a backstory even if he never plans to put it in the manga. I think that's part of why his story works so well.

I enjoy when longer stories have some kind of break in all the action and stress. To me, if a story goes 100 all the time, it would be the default and not feel like 100 if you get what I mean. I think the hints Dennis gave was nice ^^ get excited about without giving anything away. Also, Iโve almost slipped up with the name at the beginning too, so if I wasnโt writing I probably would have ๐

Since their normal log will now still point to Little Garden because it wasnโt stored yet, as it takes 1 year, they canโt really follow that.
