My Miraculous Academia - Alien Queen

This is a future chapter for My Miraculous Academia, set for the first term final exams. Introducing: Alien Queen!

Mina POV

Mina found herself gasping for breath as she and Denki dashed into an alley, shuddering a bit at the wanton destruction left in their wake.

“Did you see where he could be?” She asked desperately, heart pounding as her companion shook his head.

“Do we keep searching for him? Or try finding the exit?” He asked as soon as he had breath. And oh, wasn’t that the question.

The practical of their final wasn’t going well. Like, at all,

First they had heard that they were going to be fighting against robots. Which she had been totally down for - she normally had to be super careful about how powerful her acid was, and against robots she didn’t need to worry about that.

It had been a huge relief, and she and several of her classmates had taken advantage of that knowledge to focus on the written portion of their exams, something that in her case she really needed.

Then the teachers decided to switch it up. Robots? Nope. They were gonna fight against their teachers.

Now, that on its own wasn’t terrible… She had been partnered with her friend, and even if his quirk wasn’t ideal either she knew she could work with Denki. Really, it just meant that they would need to be careful, especially since they’d been assigned Principal Nezu.

But they were about halfway through their exam, and they had yet to even see the principal! But oh, they could see what he was doing.

The exam was taking place in one of the fake cities that UA used. From the moment the exam started, something began knocking down the buildings all around them.

Which was absolutely terrifying. Just sayin’.

It was obvious the principal wanted to force them down a certain path, but knowing that didn’t actually help.

They’d been going around in circles and they still didn’t know where Nezu was, nor which way the exit was! Sure, she could open more paths with her quirk, but that didn’t mean much if she didn’t know which way to go.

She could already see the writing on the wall, and it formed a pit in her stomach. She and Kaminari were going to fail. Even worse, they were going to fail in the most humiliating way possible, all of it on camera just waiting for Aizawa to point out each and every one of their flaws.

They wouldn’t get expelled by it (probably… She could never quite tell with their teacher sometimes) but it did not bode well. Not well at all.

‘Dang it, she grit her teeth, ‘all of our training, and this is all I can do?’

It didn’t even have to do with missing the summer camp with the rest of the class, something she had really been looking forward to.

… Maybe a little.

Still catching their breaths and trying to figure out what to do, neither classmate saw the butterfly desperately flying towards them. It hovered over Mina, looking very confused as to what it should possess.

It was more that despite everything she had done, everything they’d gone through, she was firmly in the last spot. Sure, officially Denki was the last in their class, but after their finals were all graded she would probably replace him. And what did she have to show for it?

Running around like chickens with their heads cut off, that’s what.

Gah, was she even cut out for -

“Don’t think that!”

Mina shrieked as she heard Izuku’s panicked voice, causing Kaminari to freak out as well.

“W-what! Is another building coming down?!”

Sorry! B-but you shouldn’t blame yourself for this! With Hi-Spec, Nezu can be really terrifying, especially since he had more than enough time to prepare. They chose the matches because they knew it would be hard for us… “

The words somehow made her feel a bit better. But considering the person talking to her was currently facing All-Might…

“O-oh, well, that’s another reason I came! We, uh, need help…”

“Hey Mina, you know your mask is glowing purple, right?”

“You’ve improved so much, and you’re going to make an amazing hero. That hasn’t changed just because you’re up against a difficult opponent. Let me give you the strength to overcome this challenge, and in return you can help us with ours. Do you accept?”

She couldn’t resist her grin. Honestly, had Viceroy just offered to give her the power, she might have refused. This was her challenge, and as depressed as it made her she would try to pass or fail on her own merits. She didn’t want pity (no matter how pitiful she felt). But now?

Now it was an exchange. He helps her, and she helps him. And that made a huge difference.

“I accept,” she declared brightly, purple smoke obscuring her sight a moment later.

“You accept what?! Oh wait, is that Izuku? Is he - Aaaahhhh!”

“Let us strike fear into the hearts of our enemies, Alien Queen.”

The name, rejected though it might have been as her hero name, filled her with joy.

“You betcha Viceroy!” She thought back cheerfully before everything went black.

---------------------------------------------------

Denki POV

Denki liked to think he was pretty chill most of the time. Able to take things in stride, you know?

So you’d have to forgive him for freaking out as one of his friends turned into a freaking monster!!!

Eighteen feet of elongated blackened plates unfurled from the smoke. A smooth, curved head topped with a large crest, and Mina’s white mask around the lower portion (yet no eyes that he could see) looked around while a long whiplash tail swayed back and forth. There were two sets of arms tipped with positively evil looking claws, and oh shit that was a lot of scary teeth.

Taken as a whole the body looked almost skeletal, but compared to Denki it might as well have enough muscle to challenge All-Might.

It started making a deep rumbling noise, causing him to jump.

“M-Mina?” He called out cautiously, nearly yelping when it turned its head towards him, “You still in there?”

The rumbling started up again as it nodded, and he felt marginally better, only for a whisper of a thought to enter his mind.

Alien Queen.”

He paled, whatever composure he had regained now gone.

He breathed out carefully, “So, uh, what exactly is the plaaAAAN!”

Mina picked him up with way too much ease and placed him on her back, along her bony spine.

“Uh, you know, only one person has to make it to the exit,” he proposed, “I could stay here so you aren’t weighed down or anything, would that help?”

She made a sort of chuffing noise at that, but before he could rally another protest he felt her muscles tense, and he quickly grabbed one of the bone spurs near along her spine

If he screamed as Mina began to run up the building… Well, was it really a scream if nobody heard him?

(According to the cameras, the answer was ‘yes’)

---------------------------------------------------

Nezu POV

Nezu would readily admit that he wasn’t surprised all that often. Startled? Of course! But to be truly taken off guard was frankly a novel experience for him.

Watching Ashido turn into what appeared to be a fictional creature - Internecivus Raptus if he recalled. More generally known as a Xenomorph - was an absolutely fascinating scene that actually managed to do just that!

Principal Nezu found himself smiling delightedly as he watched Alien and boy change direction and run alongside the building walls.

“Why Midoriya! I didn’t realize you wanted to play in hard mode!” A couple buttons later, and he couldn’t help but start cackling.

Alas, it wasn’t the best - these buildings were expected to be demolished, and so only had the most basic of setups - but he would make due. He hadn’t thought he’d be using them in this particular test, but he’d found it was best to always be prepared!

And he thought today was going to be dull.

---------------------------------------------------

Denki POV

Denki found himself clutching the bone spur with all his might.

Mina, or ‘Alien Queen’ as she called herself, was way more mobile than he remembered from the movie his friend had forced them to watch. Though it might have to do with the fact he never finished more than the first movie…

Maybe the sequels showed more?

Either way, she didn’t seem to have any difficulty in running up or along the walls, and he could hear the faint hissing from where her claws were digging in. Did she still have her acid powers?

It wasn’t till after leaping to their fourth building that he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

“There’s the exit!” He called out excitedly, flinching when he saw the giant wrecking ball that the principal must have been using to destroy the buildings. He raised his voice again, “So long as we stay ahead of that thing, we should - LOOK OUT!!”

Alien Queen just chuffed as several freakin’ turrets popped up from random appliances (and oh man was he not going to be able to look at a garden the same way. THE SUNFLOWERS HAD MACHINE GUNS!)

He hunched down as best as he could along the bony spine. He heard the plinks and impacts of everything, but Alien Queen didn’t even shudder, not even when a freakin’ garden gnome shot a bazooka. She just ignored everything as she continued her mad dash towards the gate.

Movement to his right caused him to look up briefly, his eyes widening as another wrecking ball came in on a collision course, “Three a clock!” He shouted.

Without missing a beat Alien Queen did a freaking flip, massive bulk and all (screaming boy on her back), landing on the ball itself. A quick swipe with her tail sliced through the chain, and Denki was suddenly shrieking again as they went into freefall. The Xenomorph reached out with her claws, snagging a wall and dragging her claws along it to slow down, acid spitting angrily along the tracks. A large crash was heard as the wrecking ball crashed into the ground, and by that time they were only a couple stories up. She then jumped once more, hitting the ground and immediately running full speed along the street.

By the time they reached the gate Denki was done. He barely even heard the sound of him and Mina passing. “O-ok, t-that was something.” He managed, looking up with a shaky grin. “But we - wait, where are you going?!”

By the time he realized what she was doing, Alien Queen was already running full speed in a completely different direction.

---------------------------------------------------

All-Might POV

Bakugou was truly a force to be considered for a child going against a fighter of All-Mights stature. By the time he graduated, the boy might actually be a challenge while All-Might was wearing suppressors!

The boy let another blast loose, but it did nothing but tickle at its current intensity. “You’re good Young Bakugo, but surely you must know that a straightforward approach is not in your favor?”

“Shut up!” Bakugo shouted back, blasting himself forward with a punch that All-Might caught, quickly twisting and tossing the boy to the ground before taking a glance around.

“Do you know where your fellow hero is at all? A villain such as myself needs to keep track of all you zygotes.”

“Who cares where shitty Deku is?!” Bakugo raged as he launched himself to his feet and back at All-Might, “I don’t need his help!”

All-Might dodged another rocket powered punch with a sigh.

If nothing else, All-Might could admire his stubbornness, misplaced though it might be.

Still, he kept an eye out for any potential butterflies. Midoriya’s quirk was quite fascinating, and he knew he wasn’t the only one that thought so. He didn’t want to be caught off guard if Bakugou changed his mind and decided to work with Midoriya.

His musing was interrupted by Nezu calling him on his earpiece.

“Ah, All-Might! No need for alarm, but you have an incoming student in just a bit. Do be aware they are not a villain. As a side note - are you a fan of pre-quirk era films?”

He blinked in confusion. What?

He didn’t have time to question it as he heard something behind him and immediately punched Bakugou away from the noise while putting himself in between him and the noise. He turned around…

And had to promptly lift his hand to catch the motorcycle that had been thrown directly at his face.

“Vehicular destruction? You realize I am the villain he-,” he began, only said vehicle to be ripped apart, leaving him facing a creature he dimly recollected from binging movies with Mirai a long, long time ago.

At the time he had laughed at Mirai for finding the creatures scary.

He might need to apologize… As a Pro Hero, he had seen some truly terrifying Villains, many doing their utmost to enhance their own fear factor. Yet there was something undeniably terrifying about this creature now that he was looking at it live. Worse yet, it was easily more than double his own considerable height.

This was a student?!

“DIE!”

All-Might was suddenly enveloped in a wave of explosion, and he cursed himself for getting distracted. The Xenomorph (until he figured out who it was, he would have to call them that) shrieked and flung themselves backwards and to the side, tumbling gracefully away from the fire.

“Who the fuck is this?!” Bakugou demanded angrily, looking one step from attacking this new threat.

Well that wouldn’t do at all.

“Oho! So Viceroy had sent one of his followers to help!” All-Might folded his arms imperiously, “Even two against one, do you think you have a chance?”

“Damnit…” This time, when Bakugou threw himself at All-Might his attacks were tinged with even more rage. “I told Deku to not interfere! I don’t need his shitty help!”

All-Might frowned and proceeded to dodge and deflect the resulting explosions, trying to figure out what to say to the blonde to push him towards cooperation.

He didn’t get the opportunity to think much when the Xenomorph lashed out with its tail, and All-Might had to dash to the side to avoid it. Instead, the attack gouged the asphalt, leaving a trail of hissing acid behind.

Acid…

You wouldn’t be Miss Ashido by any chance?” All-Might hazarded, and the Xenomorph practically preened. Now that he looked, he could see streaks of darkened pink along the black plates.

It lasted for less than a second before she was at him once more, both her and Bakugou.

Their attacks weren’t coordinated - Young Bakugou seemed furious that she was here and had no issues in blasting the both of them when he could, but Ashido…

Ashido was acting with far more experience than she should have. Always angling herself away from any potential explosions, she would lash out with her tail (which was more than dangerous enough) and while she wasn’t as mobile as Bakugou was, she was deceptively fast.

Bakugou was a naturally talented fighter, with a deep understanding of his own quirk. He was strong and relentless, and it was clear he had worked hard getting to where he was at. But he was still young. Miss Ashido, at this moment, was the more dangerous opponent.

He had seen it in the other Champions that Izuku had created, but this was his first time confirming it. Izuku didn’t just amplify, he somehow gave them the knowledge to fight in their new forms like it was their original. You couldn’t just pick up how to use a tail for combat, or fly, or ride a horse. More importantly, you shouldn’t be able to use it well enough that you could fight non-lethally with it. Especially when you throw acid into the mix.

He could still take them he was sure, Ashido included, but could he do so without hurting them? He grimaced as he avoided a dual swipe and explosion.

Well, obviously hurting them was unavoidable - this was a fight after all - but the goal was to NOT break bones, which limited his options somewhat.

He lashed out and grabbed Bakugou, throwing him aside while punching Ashido. It wasn’t a full smash - he needed to see how durable she was - but he was still surprised when she didn’t even flinch, grabbing onto his arm with shocking strength.

Hmmm, super strength had been a feature of theirs in the movie, hadn’t it?

“Quite impressive, Miss Ashido!” He boomed as he snatched her tail as it came around, “But you’ll need a bit more to - GAH!”

Her face launched in close and he had to jerk back as a set of nightmarish inner jaws launched out, narrowly avoiding them as the jaws snapped shut with a loud snap.

“Stop ignoring me, damnit!” Bakugou was about to release the pin on one of his gauntlets when All-Might sped up and punched the gauntlet, easily shattering it.

“Regular attacks are one thing, but I won’t let you use an attack that powerful when somebody else is in the line of fire!” He stated firmly.

Bakugou just snarled, “They’re the ones that butted in on my fight!”

He sighed. He was trying, he was really trying. But Bakugou was determined… Maybe if he gave them time alone they would strategize?

He also needed to make sure Midoriya wasn’t close to the gate yet. He hadn’t forgotten about the boy, even if he was sure that the boy was hoping he’d be distracted.

As it stands, neither of you are a threat to me,” he declared dramatically. “If this is all you can manage, then I’ll go and drop in on your other companion! Farewell!”

He was about to jump, when suddenly Ashido hit him with the force of a tank. He gasped in genuine pain as she rammed his side, the one with his wound. He had been keeping her in sight, but she had moved far faster than he expected her too, and he was paying for that now. She wrapped herself around him, claws clutching into his arms while the tip of her tail rested against neck.

Had she had the capture tape, he’d be captured for sure, of that he had no doubt.

He grunted at the feeling of her claws, “I’m not out of it yet!” Twisting, one hand grabbed her tail, while his other grabbed onto her arm. Her claws dug furrows into his skin, but he ignored that as he attempted to throw her. It failed when her second set of arms clutched his body, her weight doing the rest. She took advantage of that to regain her grip on him.

He had guessed she weighed a lot given her size, but it was still considerable.

Had this been a regular fight he’d have more options, but the simple fact was anything more was liable to truly hurt them. The suppressor bracelets he was wearing was as much to help himself as it was to reassure the children. He had no idea how much Ashido could take in this Xenomorph form. And it was obvious that she was holding back as well, since he had yet to feel any acid.

He grimaced as Bakugou got up once more, a gleam in his eye, “I wonder how damage you can tank when you can’t dodge,” he growled with a smirk, and All-Might almost chuckled.

Unless he hammered away at his wound, All-Might could probably still outlast Young Bakugou. Fighting head on was simply a losing prospect.

Unable to get rid of the clinging Xenomorph, he spun around just as Bakugou leaped, his next blow landing against Ashido, who let out a shriek that nearly deafened him. Still, she didn’t let go.

“Stay out of my way Pink Hair!” He raged before blasting himself around to get a better line of All-Might.

Before the next attack could connect though, a bell rang out signaling the end of the fight, and Bakugou froze.

There was still… Probably eight minutes before the fight ended? He hadn’t been captured yet, which could only mean one other thing.

Mina let out a chuff and slowly untangled herself from him, for which he was grateful. Bakugou though…

“NO!” He looked even more enraged, launching himself at All-Might desperately, “I warned him! I warned Deku that I would finish this without him!”

All-Might tanked his blows as they became more and more erratic, looking at the boy worriedly before swiftly grabbing him and holding him down. “Young Bakugou, are you done?” He asked after several seconds of struggling. “Your partner completed the objective, whilst you and another hero kept me too distracted to look for him, allowing you both to pass.”

It wasn’t the desired goal, but they did complete it nonetheless.

He watched as Bakugou seethed under his grasp before giving a nod. All-Might let him up cautiously, but despite his obvious anger he didn’t fly into another rage.

“This isn’t over,” He growled with tears in his eyes, and All-Might had no idea what to say. “I’m going to prove I’m strong enough to take you on without shitty Deku’s help, or anybody else’s!” Before turning around and stomping towards the gate.

He let out a deep breath, turning towards the intimidating Xenomorph nearby that looked like she was attempting to ignore the conversation. “Well, shall we meet with everybody else?” He asked, attempting to inject humor into his voice, “I have a feeling your own presence might cause an issue or two.”

She let out a rumble of what sounded like laughter, giving a nod before standing up to her full height and began walking after Bakugou.

He couldn’t help but shake his head at the sight. That was… Well, that was certainly a sight he never thought he’d ever see.

He made a mental note to get a picture to show Mirai. Seeing that an actual Alien existed (created by a quirk notwithstanding) would no doubt cause Sir Nighteye to freak out.

It was the duty of hero’s to tease their sidekicks like this, regardless of whether they’d become heroes of their own or not.

Comments

Wow, this chapter is AMAZING! I really love the Alien Queen champion and how everyone reacts to her change. And thos little hints of other champion being able to fly or ride a horse are good teases for champions in between USJ and the final exam. Keep it up! 😁😊
