March 2022 - Dragon Milking (Monochrome)
Added 2022-03-31 21:36:40 +0000 UTCThis dumb dragon got caught wandering onto a farm, disturbing the locals and getting himself wrestled down, tied up, and kept imprisoned in a nearby barn. In deliberations over what should ultimately be the dragon's fate, one farmhand recalled rumors about how much various bits and pieces of a dragon go for on black markets, and that harvesting a living dragon repeatedly for their essence would bring a lot of potential wealth to the village.
Needless to say, it sounds like the local folk have stumbled into having a cash cow...and said dragon honestly doesn't seem to mind it that much, either.

This illustration is something I'd wanted to draw for a couple of months now, and figured it'd make a good first Patreon-exclusive illustration. I can't help but notice a lot of flaws that kept it from being what I wanted it to be (some of which were just the product of my poor time management), but I think at the end of the day, y'all's more subjective perspective of it will love it a lot more than my objective one.
Also, honestly, despite the flaws, I'm still really happy with parts of it. The perspective is a little wonky, but it's a lot better than my usual attempts to construct a whole scene tend to go, which I'm gonna attribute to getting better at setting up 3D dioramas in Clip Studio Paint before sketching. Also, while I'm disappointed at certain aspects of the rendering and not getting to add as many details as I'd wanted (again, mostly because of bad time management), the pose and the low wide-angle perspective came out exactly as I wanted them to, so I'm happy about that.
Also don't worry about Chiderg. He looks flustered and worried, but he really likes it.
