Undressing Bear
Added 2022-03-16 11:55:54 +0000 UTCI realized last night that I haven't drawn Chibear since before I moved in September of last year. It kinda made me feel a little melancholy, because even though Chiderg is far and away my most self-representative character now and gets the lion's share of attention these days, the bear is still really important to me.
He basically acted as my fursona from 2013 to 2021, when I started associating with the dragon more. That means that the bear has been my representational figure online for longer than any other character I have. He's been through a bunch of minor tweaks and design changes over the years since the idea was first pitched to me to make a bear fursona back in like 2011. I've got a lot of art of him that consists of doodles of him interacting with people I've been talking to for several years, or people I started talking to only in the last few years, or people who I haven't spoken with in either a couple of years, or even since the mid 2010s.
Actually, it's probably weird to get sentimental about him in an upload where his enormous fat nuts are fully out and on display. Speaking of which, I don't think I'll ever not have a character with normal balls. Huge nuts are just way too good for multiple reasons.
I tried to add some airbrushed shadows and highlights in for a bit of depth, but since I already did hatching, it feels like there's maybe too much info there. That's why there's an alt version that has the highlights and shadows layers turned off, in case you only wanted to see the hatching.
