Get ready for a billion Scary Game Squad episodes! - Alejandro's Blog

Respawn sent us Cal Kestis' lightsaber in honor of Jedi: Survivor's release and so we goofed off with it.

What up Cox family it's Alejandro the Assistant Editor here for my semi monthly blog. I didn't post a blog last week because I was so busy editing the buttload of upcoming SGS videos that I didn't have a free second to do it. My apologies! But also I'm not exaggerating when I say there are so many episodes coming up.

Here are some of the timelines of what's being cooked up right now. For these long ass episodes it's a very meticulous process of clearing out and separating all of the commentary between the boys. Whenever someone talks I gotta make sure that the other tracks are muted so they don't echo. When they're all shouting over each other (This happens a lot) it becomes a bit harder and takes more precision.

Over a weekend or night, Jesse and the SGS boys will record a session and then when I come in the next day it's my job to grab all of the footage, organize it within the folders that Mari and I use, then I have to mix and remaster all of the audio so it sounds better, and THEN begin chopping it up.

FUN FACT: Since Davis is playing this game, it is his job to sync the video and audio (He has to say "Left right, left right" while moving left and right while in a menu screen so we can match the audio and video) and he is not good at it. The boys make fun of him mercilessly.

So that's basically all that I've been up to here! Gentleman's Gaming Club starts recording again this weekend so we'll begin that process too so expect the channel to be fucking stacked this month.

There's a hiking trail right outside my apartment that I love to take when I get home from the office. The trail goes to the top of a mountain and at the very top is a grove of trees and in the middle of it is a pond with ducks and turtles. And ALSO the grove overlooks the LA skyline and pictures do not do it justice. I love this city so much!

In book news I finished The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin and it was awesome. A lot of "Shut the fuck up no way" moments. I've slowed down a lot on reading because I've been ingesting other media (I'm in love with The West Wing on HBO) but I will definitely continue the series.
