Lorelai's proposal was somewhat unexpected and very attractive to Michael. May was worried that Michael would agree. She didn't believe that Lorelai would surrender so easily. Instead, it seemed more like a delaying tactic, or even a deliberate attempt to get close to Michael.

Sif nodded, "You are right, I was indeed ordered to capture Lorelai and bring her back. I came down as soon as I found her location, but I didn't expect her to escape. By the way, are you okay?"

"This is Sif, the Asgardian, the war goddess of Asgard. She's here to capture Lorelai."
