Obadiah was an old man from Howard Stark's time who had made great contributions to the company.

After Tony's parents died in a car accident, he temporarily took charge of Stark Industries until Tony Stark, who was only 21 years old, turned over a new leaf and took the company to new heights.

His relationship with Tony was very complicated; they were uncle and nephew, friends, and partners.

Obadiah came to the beach villa to discuss company matters with Tony.
