King in Marvel- CH-100. Lack of Secretary

She has a very special ability: the ability to hypnotize others through sound.

Eden McCann.

It's not a particularly feminine name, and if you've never seen her, it's hard to associate this name with her appearance.

"I didn't expect to run into her here. Was it an accident or intentional?"

Michael followed suit, showing a hesitant expression, then nodded blankly and stepped aside. Seeing Michael's actions, Eden smiled smugly.

The two made their way to a remote corner. Eden looked at Michael with some disdain, and her magnetic voice rang out, "Don't you think you should give me all the money you have?"

"For the money?"

Michael was a bit surprised, but he cooperated, took out his wallet, and handed her all the money.

"Is that all? Didn't you buy a lot of clothes when you were shopping during the day? Where did you put them? Take me to see!" Eden was a little dissatisfied but quickly changed her tone and smiled.

'So, she was targeting me during the day. Was it for money or something else? If I remember correctly, she was with Burnett, just like the Haitian. But Burnett was controlled by me, so it shouldn't be for that reason. Well, the night is long, and I'm bored, so I'll play with you.' Michael thought.

Michael smiled secretly to himself and said, "The clothes are in the hotel room. I'll take you there." With that, Michael led the way back to the hotel.

Eden seemed relaxed along the way, looking very confident in her abilities. She never doubted that Michael was pretending to be hypnotized.

Come to think of it, Michael had a mental barrier. There were very few people in this world who couldn't be affected by it, like him. It wasn't easy to meet someone like that!

Back in the hotel room, Eden seemed impatient and entered first. She looked around but didn't find any clothes. Turning around, she wanted to ask where they were, but she was shocked to find that Michael was no longer behind her.

After a moment's pause, she spun around quickly.

Michael walked quietly to the wine cabinet and began pouring wine into two glasses.

This action made Eden feel that something was wrong. She asked tentatively, "Where are the clothes?"

"The clothes are where they belong. If you can wear them for me to see, I don't mind giving you a few." Michael smiled, picked up the wine glass, and handed it to her, "Would you like a drink? It's not great, but I think you might need it."

"You... you weren't hypnotized by me?" Eden couldn't believe it. Had she failed?

Realizing this, Eden turned to run out, but as soon as she did, a dark green wall suddenly appeared in front of her. The wall expanded quickly, transforming into a cell, trapping her inside.

"What is this? Let me out!" Eden tried several times to push the wall open but failed, shouting in panic at Michael.

Michael smiled and said, "Why rush? The night is long, and there is plenty of time, isn't there?"

Michael spoke easily, but Eden didn't relax at all. She never imagined the target she was after wasn't hypnotized and that she had been tricked into coming here. She didn't know what this cell made of dark green energy was, but it didn't affect her vision or hearing—it just trapped her inside, and she couldn't escape.

As she watched Michael drink leisurely, Eden gradually calmed down. Michael was certainly stronger than she was. If he wanted to deal with her, it would be easy. So, if he was doing this now, perhaps... he wouldn't hurt her?

"I said, you might need it, don't you?" Michael said, seeing Eden calming down. He walked over with a wine glass, and a hole slowly appeared in the cell. Michael handed her the wine glass. Eden hesitated but then took it. She watched Michael's hand withdraw, and the cell slowly closed. Eden tilted her head back and took a sip.

She drank hastily, and the red wine flowed down the corner of her mouth, dripping down her neck and into her deep cleavage, which made Michael unable to look away. Only when she moved out of his line of sight did Michael look away, smiling as he asked, "Tell me, why are you targeting me?"

"You spend money so lavishly; isn't it normal for people to target you? It's just that I acted first." Eden said dismissively.

"What's your purpose? For money? With your ability, money shouldn't be a problem for you, right?" Michael was curious. Eden's hypnotic power was not weak. She could get anything she wanted easily. Money was just paper to her, meaningless.

"I just happened to be short on money."

Eden shrugged before asking, "What do you want me to do in exchange for letting you go?"

"Don't worry, I still have plenty of questions." Michael waved his hand, picked up the bottle, and eyed Eden, who shook her head, "If I remember correctly, weren't you working for Bennett to monitor an Indian genetics professor?"

"Who is Bennett?" Eden had never heard of that name and didn't know why Michael mentioned it, "Did you... mistake me for someone else? I don't know Bennett, and I don't know any genetics professors!"

Eden didn't seem to be lying, which made Michael think that there might have been a minor plot change. Even though Eden couldn't currently use her mind control, he didn't worry about her lying. If she were lying, the Haitians would recognize her. He could call them over, and they'd know immediately!

"Maybe I remembered wrong. So, are you still the same as before? Living without goals or faith?" Michael asked.

"How do you know all this? Did you know me before?" Eden froze for a moment. Her expression turned frustrated and angry. She couldn't help but lash out, "What do you know? You're not me! Don't act like you know me so well!"

"Don't get excited. It's a pity to use such a beautiful voice to yell or roar." Michael said gently, soothingly, and Eden slowly calmed down.

Michael waved his hand, and the cell disappeared instantly. He then said slowly, "You're lucky today. If you'd met me yesterday, you might have lost your ability. You'd have been like an ordinary person, struggling to survive and trying to find ways to make money."

"What do you mean? You... can take away my ability?" Eden asked in surprise.

Michael shrugged, "That's right, but there's someone named Sera who can do the same. My method is gentler, though. If it were him, you'd lose your ability and die at the same time. He's far more dangerous than I am. Though I need other people's abilities, your ability is dispensable to me. But Sera, as long as it's an ability, he'll take it. So, he might target you!"

"You're just exaggerating. What do you want from me?"

"How about following me?" Michael asked with a smile.

"Why?" Eden was puzzled. "With your strength, you don't need me, right?"

"I do have a subordinate who is very efficient, but... he's a man. To put it simply, he's just a driver and bodyguard. But it's definitely better to have a female secretary, isn't it? At least you'll feel much happier." Michael said with a smile.

"Just that?" Eden didn't believe that her abilities were useless to him. What was his real purpose?

A man and a woman.

The purpose was self-evident.

Eden didn't believe he just wanted her to be a decoration, a vase.

"Isn't that enough? If you want something else, that's fine. I've often heard people say that secretaries do things when there's work to do, and when there's no work, they..." Michael paused deliberately, not saying anything more, but Eden understood.

"I'll give you some time to think about it. If you're willing to follow me for a while, I hope to see you here tomorrow." Michael said seriously.

"You're letting me go now? Aren't you afraid I won't come back?"

"As for a secretary, if I want one, I could easily find a beautiful woman to do the job. What's more... if I want to find someone, believe me, I can find her even if I have to go to the ends of the earth!"

Eden was silent, as if considering her options.

Just then, the door to the room suddenly opened. Michael didn't move, but suddenly, a ball of dark green energy shot out and formed a palm, opening the door.

The Haitian walked in and froze when he saw Eden. His expression was awkward, clearly feeling like he had interrupted something. Seeing the Haitian's reaction, Michael realized that they didn't know each other and that Eden hadn't lied to him.

"I'll seriously consider it."

Eden said this, walked over, set down the glass, and left tentatively.

She soon realized that neither Michael nor the Haitian was stopping or following her, so she breathed a sigh of relief and quickly left the hotel.

"What do you think of her? She should be a qualified female secretary, right?" Michael asked the Haitian with a smile.
