King in Marvel- CH-72. Venom Was Scared Away

Pepper was very surprised and tried it subconsciously. Soon, boosters appeared under her feet, and she flew up instantly.

"Oh my God, this is so magical. It seems like it's real!" Pepper exclaimed in surprise.

Michael smiled, controlled the energy with his mind, and flew away with Pepper.

At the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Broadway in Manhattan, New York, there was a building with a very unique shape, resembling an iron.

Flatiron Building.

This was Damage Control, Inc.

After Michael and Pepper landed, they walked in under the surprised gazes of the people nearby.

After entering the building, Pepper went to negotiate with the front desk, while Michael, curious, started to look around. It seemed that this company was quite large. Not long after, Pepper took Michael to the elevator and they went up to the top floor, where they met the company's operations director, Anne Marie, a middle-aged woman who looked very capable.

On the way, Michael told Pepper that she should handle the business aspects. After all, she had more experience and ability than he did. The reason Michael followed her was mainly to see if this person or this company was reliable.

While Pepper handled the business talk, Michael kept his attention on Anne Marie. He could tell she was a very smart and capable woman. To run such a special company, you really had to have some skills.

"Ms. Anne," Michael suddenly called out, as they neared the end of their conversation.

Anne Marie turned her head and looked over. She was immediately controlled by Michael. He asked a few questions, mainly about whether the blueprints after construction, defense maps, line maps, etc., would be sold to others, and if any backdoors were left. After all, if someone wanted to target them in the future, what would they do with this base?

The answers satisfied Michael. It was clear why their company had been able to operate for so long, especially for such a large-scale construction project. If there was no reputation and no one trusted them, there would be no business. These drawings would be destroyed after construction, and the employees under Anne Marie carefully reviewed them to ensure they wouldn't betray their customers.

Though it wasn't foolproof, there was no other way, and this base wouldn't take too long. Once Michael completely devoured the ether particles, he could modify reality and build his own base.

After removing the mental control, Michael simply altered her memory so that she wouldn't remember being controlled. Then he signed the contract, guaranteeing that the project would be completed within a month and that people would be sent to build it immediately.

Afterwards, Michael and Pepper left the Flatiron Building.

Uh, the name of this building is really… weird.

Michael complained in his heart, then looked at Pepper and said, "It's rare for you to come out. What do you want, or do you want to buy something?"

Pepper smiled and said, "I want to buy a few sets of clothes. I came here in a hurry and don't have many changes of clothes."

"No problem!" Michael said with a smile, and then they started walking around together.

Although Little Pepper usually dressed seriously and elegantly, that was because she had to dress that way when handling business frequently. In private, her style was still very feminine. After shopping for a while, Michael already had several bags in his hands.

When shopping with a woman, how could he let her carry her own things? Moreover, Michael paid for everything, calling it a reward to thank Pepper for her hard work during this period!

Pepper was startled, and Michael turned his head to see the crowd outside scattering in panic, cars toppling on the road, and a man held in the air by steel claws, which were waving like octopus tentacles, pressing a man against a high wall.

"Doctor Octopus!" Michael muttered as he looked at the guy pressed against the wall. As expected, it was Spider-Man. They were old rivals, but he hadn't expected to encounter them here by such a coincidence.

However… Michael noticed that in addition to them, above Spider-Man, there was a man dressed in black, lying against the wall with his limbs stretched out.

"Ouch, isn't this Venom?"

Michael couldn't help but laugh. This was really turning into quite a scene!

Michael didn't expect that he would encounter such a situation while shopping and drinking coffee with Pepper. Seeing Spider-Man being grabbed by Doctor Octopus's mechanical tentacles and slammed against the wall again and again, with the wall gradually cracking, Michael subconsciously grinned.

It hurts so much!

"Hey, that's all you can do? I thought you'd have something new!" Spider-Man shouted at Doctor Octopus and suddenly stretched out his hand to quickly shoot out spider silk.

"Chirp." The spider silk instantly blew onto Doctor Octopus's face. Doctor Octopus reached out to pull it, and his attention was distracted for a moment in controlling the mechanical tentacles. Spider-Man took advantage of this moment to break free and sent spider silk toward the wall behind Doctor Octopus, raised his feet, and swung, kicking hard.

"Ahhh…"

Spider-Man's ankle was suddenly entangled, and a huge force came from behind, directly pulling Spider-Man back from the air. With a bang, he smashed directly into the wall.

A hole suddenly appeared in the wall, and Spider-Man was hit dizzy. Venom's somewhat scary face showed a hideous smile, and he swung his strong arms hard. The poor little Spider was thrown out again uncontrollably.

This time, it was toward the coffee shop.

"Ah… Run!"

Seeing Spider-Man flying toward them, Pepper shouted hurriedly.

"It's okay. I'm here."

Michael smiled at Pepper, then slowly picked up the coffee and took a sip.

Bang!

The glass window of the coffee shop was smashed by Spider-Man, and it was about to hit their side. Suddenly, a huge barrier appeared near the table and directly bounced Spider-Man back.

Doctor Octopus happened to pull off the spider silk, and before he could see what was happening, he saw Spider-Man flying over. Without thinking, he smashed him with his mechanical tentacles.

It hit the target exactly.

The poor little Spider was instantly smashed to the ground on the road.

"Ah…"

The whole process happened very quickly. By the time Pepper reacted, Doctor Octopus was sending mighty blows to torture Spider-Man.

"Oh my God, go save him!" Pepper hurriedly shouted to Michael.

Michael slowly put down the coffee cup, glanced at Spider-Man, and was about to speak when he suddenly saw a mechanical tentacle reaching out toward him.

"Save him? Just you?" Doctor Octopus picked up Spider-Man with his other tentacle. He saw Spider-Man's arms hanging down, his hands waving, and his head drooping. It was obvious that he had fainted.

"You're so weak!"

Michael curled his lips, not even looking at the arrogant Doctor Octopus, but instead looked at Venom, who had been lying on the wall, with interest. He didn't know if he could absorb Venom if he got close enough.

"You watch here, uh, this coffee tastes really good, so you'd better drink it quickly..." Michael said to Pepper with a smile, then slowly stood up and walked out.

"Haha, what are you doing out here? Do you want to save Spider-Man? What about you? I can crush you to death with just one tentacle!" The mechanical tentacles stretched out and swayed in front of Michael.
