MCU- CH-243. Among ordinary humans
Added 2024-12-09 02:32:58 +0000 UTCTo investigate the death of Molecule Man, the Beyond Gods sent cartographers to examine the situation, leading to a fierce confrontation with Black Swan. This conflict was precisely what Doom intended. He sought to uncover the base camp of the Beyond Gods through relentless engagements.
Finally, his efforts bore fruit. After countless sacrifices, Doom discovered the path to the Beyond Gods' base camp.
At this critical moment, he brought Doctor Strange, Molecule Man from the main universe, and a specially crafted Super Molecule Man Bomb designed to counter the Beyond Gods. Together, they aimed to banish these entities back to the abyss.
Afterward, Molecule Man absorbed most of the supernatural power, yet he generously shared some with Doom and Doctor Strange.
However, Doctor Strange, wary of the transcendental power's overwhelming nature, refused to accept it. He feared his character might not be strong enough to control such immense energy. Thus, Doom inherited the full extent of the transcendental power.
Using this newfound power, Doom unified the fragmented universe, altering its structure and proclaiming himself the Supreme God, Doom.
In a bid to manage the immense energy within himself, Molecule Man chose to seal himself in an underground palace beneath the Fighting Realm.
Doom believed the past had been obliterated, and everything had reached a foregone conclusion. Yet, the truth was far more troubling—changes in the past began to ripple through reality.
This unexpected development unnerved Doom, and his sudden reaction startled the blonde woman in a white robe standing beside him. She instinctively stepped back and asked in surprise:
"Husband, what happened?"
The woman was Susan, the Invisible Woman of the Fantastic Four. Once destined to be Mr. Fantastic's wife, she now stood as Doom's queen.
Before them, two children, a boy and a girl, played together.
"Susan, take Franklin and Valeria back to the palace. I need to think." Doom said sternly.
When the multiverse collapsed, Doom salvaged broken worlds to create the vast Fighting Realm. He rescued Susan and the children from the Ultimate Universe, though he altered parts of their memories, replacing Reed with himself as Susan's husband and the father of her children.
Deep within Doom's heart lay a bitter wound. Susan had once been his, but Reed Richards had stolen her away, even fathering children with her.
Now, with power beyond imagination, Doom's first act was to erase all traces of Reed Richards from existence, rewriting history to make himself Susan's partner.
"Husband, are you sure you're okay?" Susan asked again, her voice tinged with concern.
Even as the ruler of countless lives in the Fighting Realm, Doom had never shown such emotional turbulence, which made her deeply uneasy.
"Father, what's wrong?" The two children chimed in, their faces filled with worry.
"Trust me, Susan, everything is under control." Doom replied, trying to sound calm.
Reluctantly, Susan took the children and left, trusting him as she always had.
Once they were gone, Doom transported himself to the back garden, opening a secret door that led to the underground palace.
The chamber was bathed in an enigmatic glow. At its center floated a figure, suspended upside down in the light.
This was Molecule Man, Owen Reese—the true source of Doom's power.
"Doom, you've kept me waiting again, and you forgot to bring food." Molecule Man said, his tone light but brimming with power.
"With your strength, you hardly need sustenance." Doom retorted, cutting straight to the point, "You can feel it, can't you? The past timeline is changing. What's going on?"
"A new variable has emerged." Molecule Man replied, his voice calm, "I saw an alternative path unfold."
"Why didn't you stop it?" Doom demanded, his tone sharp.
"Why should I?" Molecule Man asked, his eyes opening to reveal a divine light that made even Doom feel immense pressure.
Frustrated, Doom left the underground palace, his mind simmering with unanswered questions.
"What happened in the past?" He muttered, "I can't allow the final outcome to change."
Doom resolved to intervene in the shattered past. However, even he dared not act directly or divulge future events, fearing the unknown consequences.
One risk loomed large: the potential resurrection of the Beyond Gods, as Doom carried fragments of their power. Any direct interference with the past could inadvertently bring them back.
Instead, he decided to send subtle warnings to his past self, trusting that their shared thoughts would convey the message.
Meanwhile, in the underground palace, Molecule Man sensed Doom's actions and smirked.
As an almost omniscient being, he saw far beyond Doom's limited perspective.
"It's pointless." Molecule Man murmured, "Our new fate is already sealed. We are but insignificant specks."
Despite his vast power, Molecule Man couldn't forget the chilling, scarlet eyes he had glimpsed through the timeline—eyes that seemed to dominate all existence.
Not even the One Above All could alter the inevitable.
Yet, Molecule Man felt a growing curiosity about the outsider capable of transcending fate.
With this in mind, a fragment of his consciousness crossed the fractured multiverse, returning to a time when he was still whole.
"This place feels familiar." He mused.

Elsewhere, Luke and Eternity arrived on the bustling streets of New York. Their sudden appearance went unnoticed, blending into the crowd like drops of water in the ocean.
For Eternity, this was his first experience among ordinary people in human form.
The cacophony of noise and the overwhelming torrent of emotions radiating from everyone around them made Eternity frown.
'Humanity.' He thought, might be the most complex species in the multiverse.
Within them resided every quality imaginable—holiness, kindness, evil, cunning, greed...
