MCU- CH-241. Eternity is anxious
Added 2024-12-08 04:40:07 +0000 UTCThe Dimensional Race exists as a higher echelon beyond the Marvel universe. They transcend all rules, causality, and concepts such as time and space.
Their abilities are unrestrained—they can do anything they desire, just as ordinary beings can write words or draw symbols on paper and assign them meaning.
They are not omniscient but are essentially omnipotent within the Marvel universe.
When Luke arrived at the enemy's stronghold, he estimated that everything about him, except for the system, would be meticulously analyzed and scrutinized.
However, even among such a race, where omnipotence is nearly universal, their destruction was nothing short of astonishing.
During the experiment they called the "Death of All Things," the Molecule Man—designed to be a weapon of mass destruction—refused to be a tool for others' schemes.
Instead, he allied with Doctor Doom and Doctor Strange, consolidating the power of Molecule Man from over twenty parallel universes into a single entity. Together, they created an unparalleled super-bomb, launching it into the heart of the Dimensional Race's domain and reducing them to ashes.
Not only did Doom eliminate the Dimensional Race, but he also absorbed their remaining power, ascending to become God Emperor Doom. Using his newfound abilities, he pieced together the shattered multiverse, creating the "Battleworld."
The storyline is almost incomprehensible in its abstraction, but the outcome is undeniable—they succeeded.
As for why the Molecule Man's detonation wielded such immense power, Luke could only theorize. He suspected it was because the Molecule Man was specifically designed by the Dimensional Race, sharing an origin of power.
Without this connection, even the arrival of the One Above All might not explain such an outcome.
"No, perhaps He really could explain it." Luke muttered to himself.
He began to consider the possibility that this super-race, which had surpassed the gods and upset the balance, hailed from an outer dimension. Their annihilation might have been orchestrated by an even greater being.
Otherwise, the events leading to their destruction seemed almost like a cosmic joke.
Regardless of whether the facts aligned with his theories, Luke knew he had to act. This might be his only chance to confront or even eliminate Dispelia.
After all, it was the same method the lunatics had employed.
Now that the Ivory King had begun to move, the experiment to surpass the gods was underway. Luke didn't know when it would culminate, but he knew that day wasn't far off.
"Molecule Man, it's time to fulfill the purpose of your existence." Luke murmured.
He knew, however, that caution was paramount. Approaching the Molecule Man directly could draw unwanted attention from other forces.
The existence of each universe varied, so the Molecule Man bomb might already have been prepared in some timelines.
As a critical piece in the game against the gods, Luke couldn't risk alienating the Molecule Man. His goal was to guide their anger toward transcendent gods, not to provoke rebellion.
After all, Luke lacked the power to directly challenge Molecule Man. Once fully unleashed, the Molecule Man's abilities could rival an omnipotent universe.
Resolving to proceed, Luke began his preparations.
When the Ivory King first appeared, the Four Cosmic Entities of Creation had already sensed it. Being attuned to multiversal changes, they were the first to respond.
Other powerful entities like the Living Tribunal, the Lord of Chaos, and the Lord of Order also detected the disturbance.
However, they remained unaware of the true nature of the crisis.
Eternity wished to investigate but hesitated. Matters concerning higher dimensions beyond the Marvel universe were beyond even his comprehension.
Nonetheless, he suspected that Luke might hold some answers. As Luke prepared to leave, Eternity's voice echoed in his mind.
"Luke, I have questions that need answering. Can you help me?"
But Luke, focused on creating the super Molecule Man bomb, brushed off Eternity's plea.
"I'll discuss this after my work is done." He replied tersely.
Luke then used his abilities to mask his presence and dispatched avatars across numerous universes.
He eventually pinpointed the target universe through traces left by the constructors. However, instead of entering immediately, he lingered outside its boundaries, observing the timeline's flow.
"Luke, why are you focusing on this universe?"
Eternity's voice cut through again.
Frustrated, Luke had no choice but to acknowledge him. Despite his earlier efforts to obscure his actions, Eternity—the embodiment of the multiverse—managed to locate him.
"As the God of Creation, do you truly have nothing better to do?" Luke asked sharply.
"I'm occupied with something critical to the multiverse's survival. If you value your existence, stop pestering me!"
Luke's tone was dismissive, though he understood Eternity's concerns.
The so-called Gods of Creation, like Eternity, were no more than larger ants in the eyes of certain beings.
Before Luke could continue, Eternity manifested directly before him.
The embodiment of the multiverse itself was too invested in its safety to ignore Luke's cryptic warnings.
"Luke, what kind of crisis are we facing? Is the First Sky returning?"
The mention of the First Sky heightened Eternity's anxiety. Ever since learning about its existence, he had been tirelessly gathering information and strategizing with his peers.
Now, hearing about a potential multiversal crisis from Luke, a deep sense of unease gripped him.
