MCU- CH-240. Molecule Man
Added 2024-12-07 03:03:28 +0000 UTCLuke did not forget that the Constructor race was nearly exterminated in the original storyline for surpassing the gods by conducting the "death of all things" experiment.
However, in his memory, this experiment across the multiverse hadn't started yet.
But the Ivory King before him was undoubtedly the strongest warrior created by the Constructor race, born in the lightless universe—a combat unit capable of surpassing the gods.
That terrifying aura and appearance couldn't be fake.
"Has the extinction experiment of the Constructors already begun? Another massive problem!"
Luke tensed. He shrank his form, focusing all his energy to barely block the Ivory King's attack. His face grew grim as he prepared for combat.
The Constructors' methods were unhinged, but their power was undeniable.
The terrifying truth about the Constructors lay in their origins—a high-dimensional universe. Even the youngest of their kind, stepping into the Marvel multiverse, would wield power rivaling omnipotent beings. It made them akin to the high-dimensional entities of DC.
Avoiding a confrontation was ideal, but Luke understood the inevitable. The Constructors sought to exterminate all life in the multiverse, including him, which made them destined enemies.
Yet he hadn't expected their arrival so soon.
The Constructors rarely left their lightless universe. Even when they did, it was usually due to the mischief of young ones sneaking out. Their cannon fodder alone was enough to decimate most cosmic pantheons.
Their lowest-level foot soldiers, the Composers, specialized in mapping stars and were at least at a single-universe level.
Above them were the Viruses, mid-level cannon fodder operating at the multiversal level, tasked with dealing with lesser beings.
But the top-tier foot soldiers—the Ivory Kings—were unmatched. A single one could crush the five great cosmic entities of creation, while three could destroy the omnipotent Living Tribunal.
These devastating forces were mere tools, created en masse by the Constructors to purge cosmic deities.
The Ivory King appeared surprised when Luke blocked his attack.
"Resistance... unexpected." The King muttered, his expression still stoic.
Without hesitation, he condensed a beam of high-dimensional cosmic energy and fired it at Luke.
This attack, crafted to exceed multiversal tolerance levels, was meticulously calibrated. From the King's perspective, it would obliterate Luke without wasteful energy expenditure.
The energy beam locked onto Luke's every move, ensuring no escape. Trapped within a dimensionally sealed dream space, Luke couldn't flee.
Realizing the futility of evasion, Luke changed tactics and charged directly at the Ivory King.
The King's eyes gleamed, and an invisible force froze Luke mid-motion.
"In that case, let's test your so-called superiority!" Luke growled.
Knowing he had to face the attack head-on, Luke's body emitted an intense energy surge. His black and red scales vibrated violently as two Omega beams shot from his eyes to fortify his defense.
But the crushing force of high-dimensional energy overwhelmed him. His own energy collapsed under the attack.
Undeterred, Luke clenched his claws into a fist, channeling his remaining strength. Divine power erupted within him, forcing his cells into overdrive, generating power beyond their limits.
Luke's indomitable body met the Ivory King's devastating energy head-on.
BOOM!
The resulting explosion unleashed a shockwave of unimaginable force.
At the center of the blast, Luke's body crumbled under the relentless power. His scales shattered, flesh disintegrated, and soon only a white skeleton remained.
The Ivory King scanned the battlefield, sensing Luke's rapidly fading life force. Satisfied his target was dead, he ceased his assault.
A blue portal opened before him. His mission to eliminate all life in the dream space had been fulfilled with Luke's death. Without a second glance, the Ivory King stepped into the portal and vanished.
But moments later, Luke's evolutionary abilities kicked in.
Flesh and scales regrew rapidly over his skeleton. His body reconstructed itself entirely in mere moments.
Luke had intentionally slowed his regeneration to ensure the Ivory King left without further confrontation. A direct battle with such a foe was unwise.
Now that he had learned of the Constructors' extinction plan, Luke couldn't stand idle. He also knew the weapon to turn the tide against them.
"Molecule Man..." Luke muttered.
A creation of the Constructors, Molecule Man was designed to destroy the multiverse.
Unlike other beings in the Marvel Universe, Molecule Man was identical across all universes. Each version shared the same abilities, origin, and even consciousness—a deliberate construct of the Constructors.
Their plan was to detonate every Molecule Man simultaneously, erasing all universes in an instant.
Luke found their method baffling. With their vast power, the Constructors had countless simpler ways to achieve their goals. Yet they chose one fraught with risk, ultimately leading to their own downfall.
[Ding! The major event "Dispelia's Swan Song" has begun. Treasure chest charging initiated.]
The system's notification confirmed Luke's next move. With knowledge from his past life, he already knew how to exploit this catastrophe. The answer was in his memory—he just needed to act.
After taking a direct hit from the Ivory King, Luke's evolutionary traits immediately activated.
The newly regenerated Luke had not only fully healed but had also adapted his body to resist the high-dimensional energy that had previously harmed him.
A new power emerged within him, one that was inherently opposite to the energy used by the Ivory King in his attack. This newfound ability neutralized the lingering effects of the high-dimensional energy, shielding Luke from further erosion.
Additionally, Luke's energy reserves had grown substantially.
At this moment, it was clear that Luke had reached the threshold of the super-universe level.
"It's a shame I can't go all out against the Ivory King just yet." Luke mused, "If I could, I might be able to use this opportunity to further evolve."
Ironically, the devastating blow from the Ivory King had been more of a blessing than a curse.
The arrogant Ivory King, in his calculated strike, had precisely calibrated his energy to eliminate Luke, whom he deemed an insignificant multiversal god.
For most beings, that level of energy would have been a death sentence. But Luke was no ordinary god.
Not only had the attack failed to destroy him, but it had made him even stronger.
Luke had now developed an immunity to that level of high-dimensional energy, and his newly evolved body could withstand its intensity without breaking.
"If I could land just one punch on him, the rewards would be immeasurable." Luke thought, clenching his fist.
With his dual traits of immortality and infinite evolution, Luke's fastest path to growth was clear: facing stronger opponents.
However, this idea remained theoretical for now. Evolution required time, and engaging recklessly with the Ivory King could prove disastrous.
While Luke was immune to death in the traditional sense, the sheer disparity in power between him and the Ivory King couldn't be ignored.
If the Ivory King recognized Luke's potential and decided to capture him—using sealing techniques to transport him back to the Constructors' base—Luke's situation would spiral into unimaginable peril.
For now, caution was paramount.
