GODZILLA- CH-37. Does it exist?
Added 2024-11-30 10:23:14 +0000 UTC"Does the Kingdom of God really exist? Did the elder truly enter the Kingdom of God?"
Patton had long heard the rumors about the priests who came to offer their support. It was said that Father God had led the souls of the elders into the Kingdom of God.
But Patton had always found it difficult to fully believe. After all, the Kingdom of God and the divine realm were often seen as mere fantasies, extravagant wishes conjured up by mortal minds after observing other gods.
Faith was the foundation of the tribe's strong unity, and it was the primary reason mortals sought the protection of gods.
As for whether they were truly God's chosen people, Patton had no doubt. However, as someone who had only seen his god once in his life, Patton's devotion to Father God and his faith could not compare to the dinosaur elder's unwavering belief.
The heir chosen by the dinosaur elders was not the most devout but the most rational and intelligent.
Only in this way could the future of the tribe be secured.
Thus, while Patton harbored some doubts about the extent of Father God's abilities, this did not mean he did not believe in James, their Father God. To Patton, Father God was like other gods: the creator of the four tribes but not necessarily omnipotent.
So when James stretched out his massive hand, Patton watched closely, not even blinking.
If Father God truly possessed a Kingdom of God, this would offer Patton some comfort.
The dinosaur elder was like a father to Patton. He had raised him, teaching him knowledge, skills, and combat techniques bit by bit.
For Patton, who treated the dinosaur elder as a father, it was his deepest wish to see the elder's dream fulfilled—to enter the arms of the god he had worshiped all his life.
As for Patton himself?
He understood his responsibilities and accepted his own lack of devout faith. He did not expect to enter the Kingdom of God after death.
His hope was to lead his people to restore the prosperity of Blackrock City and to quickly overcome the grief brought on by war.
Rather than dreaming of the afterlife, Patton focused on the living reality.
This was both his wish and the responsibility entrusted to him by his father-like elder.
The dinosaurs all gazed at James, and at that moment, the other four tribes were also watching him. Even members of other ethnic groups cast envious eyes at the sight of James offering his body as a divine guide for his people.
"The God of Lava is truly benevolent to his people! Although my Father God is not bad either…"
Under thousands of watchful eyes, James took his time. Finally, when his palm reached the rows of dinosaur corpses, flames ignited upon his hand.
The next moment, the bodies of the dinosaur men—usually resistant to fire—began to burn intensely.
However, just as the flames consumed the corpses, James noticed tiny specks of light floating upwards.
Seeing this, James's calm expression brightened with joy.
"Indeed, my experiment was correct."
"Souls! Those are the souls of the Sons of Lava warriors! There really are souls? Oh, gods! The God of Lava is guiding the souls of His people!"
"Is it truly the soul? But why are those soul lights so small? Our bodies are so mighty!"
"Why does it matter? Look! This may be a miracle we will never witness again in our lifetimes!"
The souls were visible not only to James but to the extraordinary races around him.
When James's divine fire enveloped the corpses, reducing them to ash, the essence of the soul remained—a faint light kindled by divine power.
The sight stunned the Four Tribes of Order, leaving even the Blackwater people in awe.
"We were all wrong. Perhaps we've misunderstood all along! To return to the embrace of God, we must be personally guided by Him!"
A snake-man priest muttered in excitement, as though uncovering fertile ground for faith.
Yet, regardless of what others thought, the divine spectacle continued.
As the soul-lights approached James's flaming hand, they expanded into massive fireballs, each about ten meters in diameter, connected by blazing strands like candle flames spreading across the sky.
The temperature along the coastline surged.
Watching the fireballs expand, the five tribes and even James's fellow giant beasts were struck speechless.
"What is James doing? What are these fireballs? And what is the image of the Son of Lava appearing within them?"
The giant beasts, having no concept of souls, were dazed by the scene. At that moment, the vague idea of a soul realm began to crystallize in their minds.
"Yes, the elder was right! The souls of the Lava People truly exist after death, and those favored by Father God ascend to His Kingdom!"
"Look! Isn't that shadow in the fire Kuchi?"
"Yes, it's Kuchi! And over there, that's Iwazawa!"
The dinosaurs cheered, tears streaming down their faces as they gazed at the fire-lit sky.
For them, these were not just flames but proof that their fallen companions had found peace in the Kingdom of God.
At the forefront, Patton stood frozen, his eyes fixed on the glowing fireballs. Familiar faces flickered within the flames, their expressions a mix of serenity and awe.
Patton's usually steady demeanor wavered. His eyes filled with tears that refused to fall, swirling with emotion.
"So, it's all true… But there are still so many of our people whose bodies we couldn't recover. I feel so sorry for them…"
Patton felt a pang of guilt—not just for his doubts but for the countless tribesmen lost without the honor of divine guidance.
As the fireballs illuminated the coastline, the temperature climbed, though not enough to drive anyone away. Instead, curiosity rooted the five tribes in place, eager to witness what would happen next.
James, too, observed the fireballs. Yet, even he seemed caught off guard by what came next.
The figures within the fire began to tremble. Some twisted in apparent agony, their forms writhing, while others quaked violently…
