MCU- CH-233. S.W.O.R.D.

On Earth, when Nick Fury woke up from his coma, his already stern face became even more grim.

Looking at the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, now reduced to ruins, and the agents around him who were injured to varying degrees, Fury felt a mixture of anger and despair.

If Captain America had not forced himself to use the Green Lantern Ring to create a protective barrier at the critical moment, protecting most of the people, they might have all died in the aftermath of the battle between the Sentinel and the Hulk.

Even so, Captain America fell into a deep sleep after exhausting his willpower by using power far beyond his limits.

Fortunately, after a thorough examination, it was determined that there was nothing seriously wrong. He would recover fully after some rest.

This time, S.H.I.E.L.D. suffered heavy losses. Captain America had temporarily lost his ability to act, and both the Hulk and Sentinel, two of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most powerful assets, were missing. Only Ghost Rider and Blade remained available to handle emergencies.

Although they knew that the Hulk had been taken to deep space by the Sentinel, their current resources were insufficient to locate him.

The mysterious being who effortlessly took the Sentry away was beyond their comprehension.

Nick Fury regretted ever taking on the position of director. He thought it would be simpler to remain an agent carrying out missions. Now, with the headquarters destroyed, they were fortunate to still have branch bases; otherwise, they would have been left without a command center.

As for classified information, most of it had been stored underground, so the losses were minimal.

At this moment, Fury contemplated where to rebuild the headquarters. Should it be at sea, in the sky, or underground? It would not be on the surface again. However, such a project would require enormous financial and technical support, and he had no idea how to explain this incident to the Security Council. Convincing them to allocate funding for a new base seemed like an impossible task.

"Director Fury, Mr. Stark is on the line. Would you like to take it privately?"

An agent's voice broke Fury's chain of thought.

"Put him through." Fury instructed.

Tony Stark's voice came through the line, "Old friend, are you interested in coming out for a drink?"

Fury sighed. He knew Stark was well aware of the catastrophe, "Tony, you know how bad things are. I don't have time to—"

"Don't you want to know who took the Sentry away?" Tony interrupted.

One sentence silenced Fury, "Fine. Usual place."

He hung up immediately. Years of collaboration had built a level of trust between them that made Fury certain Tony would not waste his time.

Fury arrived at a high-end café three blocks from Stark Tower. Tony was already there, waiting.

As Fury approached, he noticed subtle changes in Tony's appearance. His demeanor seemed unusually calm, and there was an almost ethereal quality to him.

Suspicious, Fury sat down across from him. "You're not Tony. Who are you?"

Tony chuckled, "Your instincts are as sharp as ever, Fury. But have you really forgotten your old friend?"

Tony's familiar tone and expression gave Fury pause, "What's going on?"

"A gift from a god." Tony replied with a smirk, "One moment, I was dying. The next, I was saved and rejuvenated."

"A god? Did this god take the Sentry away?" Fury asked, his brows furrowing.

Tony nodded, "Yes, the god's name is Luke. He's not some alien with advanced technology. He's a true immortal. He saved my life and granted me my greatest wish."

Tony explained that Luke hailed from Dispelia, an ancient and mysterious realm. His primary purpose on Earth had been to retrieve the Golden Warrior, Sentry.

Tony also shared some of the secrets of the universe that Luke had revealed to him. Fury listened intently, committing every detail to memory. The name "Dispelia" was engraved in his mind, a name associated with an unfathomable force.

"Tony, you didn't call me here just to share these stories. What's your real purpose?" Fury asked, sipping his coffee.

Tony grinned and placed a small holographic projector on the table. Activating it, he revealed the schematics of a floating battleship.

Fury's eyes widened as he examined the design. It was exactly what he had envisioned for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new headquarters.

"Why are you showing me this?" Fury asked warily.

"Because I can help you build it." Tony replied, "In exchange, I want S.H.I.E.L.D. to change its name and grant legitimacy to a new superhero team I'm assembling."

"What's the new name?" Fury inquired.

"S.W.O.R.D." Tony said with a smile.

Fury nodded slowly, "It's a good name. I'll include it in my proposal. But tell me, who will lead this new team?"

Tony's grin widened, "I will."
