GODZILLA- CH-35. Observation and Revelation

'If you lack strength, just say it! Instead, you kept silent and pretended not to understand my gestures. You really are a clever one.'

'As for why I regained my strength so quickly?'

James wasn't stupid and could guess that this layer of space, with its strong convection currents, was likely aiding the giant moth's recovery.

The higher they flew, the colder the air became, but simultaneously, the pull of gravity grew stronger.

However, James didn't care. He kept pointing higher, instructing the giant moth to ascend further.

The giant moth didn't complain. It silently obeyed, flapping its massive wings and pushing upward with steady determination.

During the ascent, the moth maintained a constant pace. Though its flight appeared slow, it effectively countered the planet's gravitational pull.

Gradually, James found himself gazing over the edge of the continent.

Then, at a certain moment, the oppressive gravitational force gripping them seemed to vanish.

Yes, they had arrived in the planet's outer orbit—a rarely explored realm for the giant moth.

Here, James could finally observe half the planet below while glimpsing the Tinite oid of ooive.
Once outside the planet's orbit, the giant moth released James, allowing him to float weightlessly.

James's eyes sparkled with excitement. He finally had a clear view of the planet he inhabited.

To the north, a large irregularly shaped landmass sprawled out, surrounded by oceans and capped with a stretch of white permafrost.

Though the landmass wasn't vast, it supported the life thriving on the planet.

From this vantage, James could discern the basic outline of continents and seas, but the mist and dust in the atmosphere blurred finer details, even with his enhanced vision.

It was a refreshing sight, though nothing extraordinary.

Turning his gaze upward, James marveled at the blazing sun illuminating this half of the planet.

Against the backdrop of eternal darkness, the sun appeared enormous and dazzling. Yet, in the grand expanse of the universe, it was just a tiny flickering candle.

The dark abyss of the starry sea reminded James of how small he was, despite his towering size.

It also revealed why the giant moth rarely ventured into space.

Much like land beasts felt vulnerable in the skies, the moth likely felt insignificant here, surrounded by the vast emptiness.

Just as James admired the view, his initial excitement waned as something strange caught his attention.

A faint noise—barely perceptible at first—gradually grew louder and clearer in his mind.

It wasn't just one sound but a chaotic medley: the mournful whistle of a flute, the rhythmic pounding of drums, and the metallic clang of colliding objects.

The cacophony was unsettling, far more so than the harshest rock music James had ever endured.

Where was this noise coming from? The universe is a vacuum—there shouldn't be any sound.

James glanced at the giant moth, which simply blinked its large, innocent eyes at him, as if to say, This is normal. I don't know anything either.

Realizing he was on his own, James became more cautious.

'This universe may not be as simple as I thought,' He mused.

Closing his eyes to focus, James tried to trace the source of the noise. Yet, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the sound vanished, leaving him perplexed.

What in the world was going on?

James frowned, his mind brimming with questions.

But without answers or clues, he had no choice but to push the matter aside.

"When enemies come, I'll fight them. When water rises, I'll block it with earth," James muttered. For now, survival and growth took priority over solving cosmic mysteries.

As James floated in orbit, the sun's radiation and cosmic rays enveloped him, filling his body with an unfamiliar yet soothing warmth.

The sensation was more pleasant than even soaking in molten magma.

Feeling invigorated, James propelled himself with a fiery burst from his dorsal fins, adjusting his trajectory to explore the planet's dark side.

The giant moth followed closely, using wind elements to glide through space.

What lay on the other side of the planet? Were there more continents?

James soon found his answer—and it left him speechless.

A colossal tree towered over the planet's other hemisphere, its tip extending beyond the planet's orbit.

James blinked in disbelief, half-expecting it to be an illusion. But no, this was real.

The tree, gray-brown and ancient, stretched skyward with a grandeur that defied comprehension.

Its crown bore twelve massive leaves, each forming a platform as large as an island.

Surrounding the tree was an invisible barrier—a shimmering dome that separated the other half of the planet.

Curious, the giant moth tried to land on one of the leaves but smacked into the barrier, retreating in confusion.

Undeterred, it tried again, only to summon an invisible storm with its wings in frustration. The barrier absorbed the gale effortlessly, leaving the moth dejected.

James couldn't help but laugh at its antics. "Rushing in without understanding the situation? What if the tree's alive and retaliates?"

Despite the moth's antics, the tree remained silent and unmoving, its enormous presence exuding a strange serenity.

As James observed the tree, a cascade of questions flooded his mind.

How could a tree of such size coexist with the planet without disrupting its balance?

Shouldn't its roots be buried across the entire planet? Yet there were no signs of roots in the hemisphere James inhabited.

How had such a massive structure gone unnoticed by other creatures?

The tree's untouched state suggested it had never been attacked. Its pristine surface bore no scars from battles or other life forms.

And why was this half of the world divided into foggy regions and flaming purgatories?

James sighed. His prior knowledge of science and logic failed to make sense of this bizarre world.

"Can someone explain to me what kind of crazy place thi

James focused on the hemisphere dominated by the tree.

One half was veiled in dense fog, obscuring anything beneath it. From orbit, it was nearly impossible to see through the mist.

The other half, in stark contrast, burned with fiery purgatory, its surface glowing with volcanic heat.

Yet, neither side showed signs of life—no movement, no activity.

Even the colossal tree itself appeared lifeless, a silent monument in an enigmatic world.
