MCU- CH-215. Mephisto Vs Lucifer...

Seeing Luke coming out safely, Mephisto, who had been hiding in the shadows, felt he had made an incredibly wise decision.

The level of mystery surrounding Luke had exceeded their expectations.

Mephisto had put in his utmost effort to seal the space that trapped Luke, but reality had hit him hard.

Now that Luke was free, it was the big demons who would be in trouble!

"Thank you so much for your hospitality earlier. I am quite satisfied. In return, please don't refuse my gratitude next time."

All the complex power systems within Luke had now re-melded, even integrating multiverse-level solar rules into his new power.

Now, his power was based on Doomsday's immortality and evolution, with all other abilities branching outward.

As a result, Luke now possessed infinite evolution and endless potential.

"Lucifer, what do we do now? Run?"

Beelzebub was already considering retreat.

Not just him; none of the other big demons wanted a direct fight with Luke.

"Run? This is hell, our foundation. Only here do we wield the greatest power, and only here are we the true lords of hell," Lucifer retorted.

"There's no choice left but a fight to the death. Do you want to submit to this multiverse god like that coward Mephisto?"

Lucifer saw the situation clearly—there was no way out.

Their pride as the lords of hell left them no choice but to fight to the death.

"Damn it, this is all because of that traitor Mephisto. He betrayed us and hell."

Beelzebub was beginning to regret agreeing to Mephisto's request. He could've remained as a lord of hell, reaping souls in the multiverse without this mess.

The upcoming battle would be a life-or-death struggle.

And the worst part? The cause of all this was now hiding, watching the chaos unfold with a grin.

"Oh, Mephisto, even if I die today, I'll drag you down with me."

"Exactly, all of this is his fault. He must die!"

As Beelzebub pointed out Mephisto as the root cause, all the lords of hell instantly agreed.

No matter the outcome, Mephisto could not be allowed to escape.

"Kill!"

At that moment, all the lords of hell went into a frenzy.

But their target wasn't Luke—it was Mephisto, who was lurking nearby.

All being lords of hell, they could hide from outsiders, but Mephisto couldn't elude his fellow demons.

Luke observed the scene and felt no urgency. He held little affection for Mephisto anyway.

Wild demons are always wild. While Luke could suppress him, Mephisto wasn't as obedient as the demons he kept under his own control.

If these Hell Lords took this chance to "clean house," Luke saw an opportunity to fully tame this unruly demon.

So, Luke used his divine sense to keep tabs on each of the Hell Lords, trailing behind them as they hunted Mephisto.

"Damn it!"

Mephisto was so terrified by the bloodlust that he almost lost his composure.

Of course, he knew his actions hadn't been exactly noble, but everything he'd done was to save his life.

First, he had rallied the Hell Lords to show strength. Then, he'd sworn loyalty to Luke—again, to save his life.

What he couldn't understand was why, as demons, they needed to care about dignity and pride like the gods of the multiverse.

Wasn't it universally accepted that demons were cunning, insidious, and shameless?

"No, Lucifer, it's all because of that arrogant fool!"

As he fled, Mephisto realized the root of the issue.

This situation could have gone a completely different way. The moment he surrendered to Luke, all this could have been avoided.

But it was Lucifer—constantly accusing him of betraying hell and disrespecting the dignity of the lords—that stirred up the other Hell Lords.

Otherwise, he would have obediently followed Luke, enduring a mere 100,000 years of servitude, which would pass in a blink for an immortal.

Then, he'd regain his freedom and return to his carefree existence.

"Lucifer, you arrogant motherfucker!"

"Your foolish pride led to this chaos. You're the one who deserves to die the most!"

Having realized the truth, Mephisto's roar shook half of hell, startling countless demons who had survived the recent battles.

The listening demons were puzzled, wondering what had driven the typically composed Mephisto to such a furious outburst.

And wasn't Lucifer allied with Mephisto just moments ago? How did they become mortal enemies so quickly?

And what about that ominous heartbeat sound that had slain so many low-level demons? Was it connected to this sudden conflict?

The Hell Lords chasing Mephisto were bewildered, including Luke.

Why all the rage and insults?

"Mephisto, you damned traitor! If you hadn't drawn such a powerful enemy, we wouldn't be in this mess."

"Helping me was just a cover for your greed. You didn't hold back when dividing up my territory!"

"Hmph! If you hadn't groveled to us like a whipped dog, we wouldn't have cared about you."

"Lucifer, if you hadn't provoked me, this would have ended long ago!"

"And Beelzebub, Tog, Satannish... When did we demons of hell start caring about pride and honor? Have you all been around that arrogant fool so long your minds are twisted too?"

Suddenly, Lucifer and Mephisto broke into a full-fledged shouting match, with Mephisto calling them out by name and airing every grievance.

Following behind, Luke couldn't help but smile slightly. Listening to devils curse each other out was surprisingly entertaining!
