Although the lords of Hell thought Mephisto made some sense, now was not the time to argue about who was right.

At this moment, they had only one thought in mind: to kill Mephisto and vent their anger. Whether he survived afterward was a matter to deal with later.

Mephisto, who was currently fleeing between realms, was inwardly groaning. Due to his carelessness, he was struck by Lucifer's furious blow, and immediately, all escape routes were blocked by a host of Hell lords.

"Mephisto, where will you escape now?"

"If it weren't for you, this damned schemer, we wouldn't be caught up in this mess!"

"Come and die!"

Without further ado, Lucifer attacked again, with Beelzebub close behind, and the other great demons poured their rage upon Mephisto.

At this moment, Mephisto felt he might truly die here.

His strength was on par with the Hell Lords. In a one-on-one fight, he feared no one, and with enough time, he was confident he could eliminate any of them.

But now, he was utterly powerless against this group of enraged demons.

The same allies who had eagerly divided up his territory in their alliance now wanted to end him just as eagerly.

After barely fending off their attacks, his body was riddled with wounds, and his aura weakened drastically.

However, the perceptive Mephisto noticed that Luke was watching their infighting with a smile from afar.

In an instant, a survival instinct flared in his mind, sparking an idea.

In his moment of distraction, Lucifer's sword pierced him, and black flames clung to his body, burning his demonic essence.

"Lucifer, die with me!"

At that moment, Mephisto appeared to go completely mad, even burning his own soul, determined to drag Lucifer into death with him.

This unexpected turn of events shocked Lucifer and the other demon lords.

The final gasp of any creature on the brink of death can be terrifying, especially when that creature is a demon of equal strength.

Even if his self-destructive tactic didn't kill them outright, it would surely inflict serious damage. And none could guarantee that if he called for Lucifer, he wouldn't change targets and choose any of them instead.

In a flash, the group surrounding Mephisto dispersed.

But they hadn't anticipated what came next—Mephisto's desperate burst of strength wasn't aimed at any of them.

To their shock, Mephisto rushed straight to Luke.

This time, he didn't kneel on one knee in submission as before but knelt on both, prostrating himself before Luke.

"Master, I have already shown my submission. For the next 100,000 years, I will be your loyal servant."

"Your servant, Mephisto, begs for your protection!"

Yet again, Mephisto tried to bargain, hoping to trade a mere 100,000 years of service for his life.

However, his plan was so obvious it practically leapt into Luke's face.

"Submission, servant...just words. When you deceive mortals, you at least offer a formal contract. You're being far too casual with me!"

"Moreover, you want my protection for a mere 100,000 years of service. Is your time that valuable, Mephisto?"

Luke spoke slowly, eyes cold.

Hearing this, Mephisto realized he was completely cornered.

But compared to death, becoming Luke's permanent servant didn't seem so hard to accept, especially since his master was far stronger than him.

In Hell, the weak submit to the strong; that's the iron rule.

Mephisto tried to convince himself with this reasoning, making it easier to accept.

Finally, Mephisto resolved himself, plunging his right hand into his chest, pulling out his demonic heart, and offering it to Luke.

"Master, I pledge my loyalty with my heart."

Mephisto held out his bloody, still-beating heart, seemingly resolute in his loyalty.

But this gesture, one he used to deceive young gods with little experience, was also aimed at Luke.

Luke's gaze remained cold, and with a flick of his hand, he incinerated Mephisto's heart to ashes. Then, he raised his foot and stomped on the head of this once-arrogant demon.

"Ah!"

The pain was unbearable, and Mephisto couldn't help but wail.

"Mephisto, it seems you truly wish for death!"

"Even now, you can't resist these little tricks. Do you think I'm some fool?"

As Luke spoke, he pointed to the group of demons who stood, wary and watchful.

It was a blatant insult, but none of the demons dared to respond.

At that moment, Mephisto sensed the undisguised killing intent in Luke's heart—directed squarely at him.

Immediately, he offered up his soul essence.

For demons, the body is important, but the soul is their true essence. And demons, experts in manipulating souls, would never allow any being to touch their soul unless forced to the last resort.

"Why didn't you do this sooner? Why pretend in front of me?"

Without further ceremony, Luke accepted Mephisto's soul essence, branding it with his own mark—a dark red Omega symbol.

From then on, everything about Mephisto was under his control. Any disloyalty, and Luke could kill him, leaving only his demon body behind.

"Now get out of the way. If you're injured by accident, it'll be your own bad luck."

Luke withdrew his foot from Mephisto and ordered him to move aside to avoid interference.

Without hesitation, Mephisto used his remaining strength to tear open a dimensional rift and vanished within.
