MCU- CH-211. State your demands

Even the densest demon could now sense that Luke was not what they'd thought! Realizing his true identity, a wave of terror overtook them; their souls froze, and their bodies became paralyzed with fear.

"God of the Multiverse, Hell is not your place. Leave now, or you will never leave!"

Before Mephisto could respond, Lucifer stepped forward, addressing Luke.

As an angel who fell to demon status in ancient times, Lucifer was among the top Hell Lords in power. Facing Luke alone, Lucifer would never dare to speak so brazenly, but with a group of Hell Lords at his back, he was emboldened.

However, his interruption irritated Mephisto. He had gathered these Hell Lords to strengthen his hand and negotiate on equal terms with Luke, hoping to convince him to abandon his grudge. Now Lucifer's words were raising the tension to a boiling point.

"Multiverse God." Mephisto began, "I know you are here because of me, but there is no need for us to go to war over our past grievances."

"I admit I was wrong to covet your body." He cyou mntinued, "But now that's behind us, and I've paid with a perfect incarnation. Isn't it better to let it end here?"

"I promise I'll never set foot in the multiverse again."

Mephisto believed he'd made a significant concession, but his words only made Luke sneer.

"Mephisto, has a dimensional rift scrambled your brain?"

"What do you mean by that?"

"What do I mean?" Luke laughed scornfully, "The moment I arrived on Earth, you set your sights on me and tried to take my body. If I didn't have some ability, you might have succeeded!"

"Then your incarnation came, and I crushed him. If I remember correctly, you started all of this!"

"And now you stand here, telling me the destruction of your avatar is a 'price you paid'? You really must have had your brain scrambled to say such nonsense!"

As Luke spoke, the Hell Lords around them burst into mocking laughter.

"Hahaha! Mephisto, so you've finally come to this. Aren't you supposed to be Hell's wisest devil? Now everyone thinks you've got a screw loose!"

"Indeed! Mephisto, always so clever. And now look at you. Don't worry; I'll make sure everyone in Hell remembers today's events."

Though their alliance was only temporary, the Hell Lords couldn't resist mocking Mephisto, relishing a rare chance to ridicule him.

Though Mephisto seethed with anger, he had no choice but to tolerate the insults, making a silent note of every Hell Lord who laughed at him. If he survived this ordeal, there would be time enough for retribution.

"What do you want?" He asked Luke, trying to sound composed.

"I already told you." Luke replied, "Wash your neck and wait for me to take your head!"

Luke's purpose here was simple: to complete his system's treasure chest mission and to claim vengeance.

"God of the Multiverse, don't mistake where you are now. This is Hell!"

"Don't think that just because you defeated Cyttorak, you can overlook Hell. Even Cyttorak himself is confined to a small corner here."

"Although you're powerful, we Hell Lords are not so easily subdued."

Luke's words had enraged the Hell Lords. They had never encountered such arrogance. It was one thing to face him in the multiverse, but for him to come to their realm and flaunt his power was beyond bearing.

They assumed Luke's confidence stemmed from his recent victory over Cyttorak and thus downplayed Cyttorak's defeat in hopes of shaking Luke's resolve.

Their comments reminded Luke of a famous story from the Three Kingdoms that he had read in his previous life. When Lu Bu was alive, his reputation frightened the entire world. But once Lu Bu was gone, everyone claimed to be as brave as Lu Bu.

The Hell Lords were incensed, but Mephisto was the only one with a clear sense of the danger at hand. Regardless of their jibes and bravado, when he met Luke's cold, deadly gaze, he felt death hovering close by. Even this ancient demon, feared across many realms, could not shake the chill that ran down his spine.

"Your Excellency the Sun God, this time I am sincere in wanting to resolve the past feud with you. For my offense in the past, I now apologize to you and offer compensation."

Mephisto didn't dare let a group of hell lords provoke Luke at this moment, so he quickly stepped forward, seemingly sincere in his plea.

"Really? Is your sincerity just to gather a bunch of rotten sweet potatoes and stinking bird eggs for support?"

Luke's infuriating words immediately made all the hell lords furious.

"You're from the multiverse. What did you say? Say it again if you dare." Lucifer raised an eyebrow, shaking the massive black wings behind him as he spoke to Luke in a menacing tone.

"I said, Mephisto, don't think you can threaten me with these rotten sweet potatoes and stinking bird eggs of yours! Why, have I made it clear enough? If not, I can say it louder. I guarantee that all of Hell will hear it."

Luke willingly satisfied the demons' request to continue the insult.

"Damn you, how dare you ignore the majesty of us, the Lords of Hell? We won't let you leave Hell so easily!"

Hearing this, the group of demon lords seethed with rage, wanting to devour Luke, even his soul. But seeing his fearless expression, none dared to make the first move.

After all, Mephisto was the cause of this confrontation; he should lead the attack, while the others were merely there for support.

"Your Excellency the Sun God, please state your terms directly. What price should I pay to resolve the hatred between us?"

"I believe that you, who just fought a war, wouldn't want to provoke another larger conflict."

"In that case, why not negotiate? It's better to have one more friend than one more enemy."

Mephisto spoke with a firm tone, showing his bottom line to Luke. He believed that giving in too much would only make Luke bolder.

Yet, Mephisto was mistaken. Luke's confidence came from his strength, not from Mephisto's attitude.
