GODZILLA- CH-23. Deep Sea People and Their Gods
Added 2024-11-11 00:36:05 +0000 UTCAlthough his voice was old and trembling, it was full of energy and loud!
At this moment, the lava warriors shouted in unison:
"For the Sacred Contract!"
"To uphold the glory of God the Father!"
"For the order created by the Four Gods!"
"Victory! Victory to the people of lava!"
The dinosaur warriors, filled with fighting spirit, roared to release their tension and drive away the uneasiness in their hearts.
Their voices pierced the sky, instilling fear in countless weaker creatures.
In the next moment, tens of thousands of dinosaur warriors moved!
Led by one priest after another, they split into dozens of teams and began marching in an orderly manner toward the battlefield by the sea.
These dinosaur-men, each as tall as a three- to five-story building, caused the earth to tremble with the thundering sounds of their trotting.
The sight inspired the four tribes watching outside Black Rock City, who couldn't help but cheer:
"Order will prevail!"
"The glory of the Four Gods will prevail!"
"For the sacred Black Rock City, the Alliance must win!"
There were hundreds of thousands of residents in Black Rock City—ordinary warriors from the four tribes, the younger generation, and even many children. They weren't needed for this battle yet, unless the four tribes faced a crushing defeat in their first joint battle.
If that time ever came, nothing would save the remaining residents. The civilization and order that the four tribes had spent nearly six thousand years creating would return to chaos.
This battle could not be lost; only victory was an option. That was the consensus of the four tribes.
So this time, the elite troops of all four tribes were deployed, and even the three gods were prepared to confront the evil god behind the deep-sea people.
As the elite Dinosaur People troops passed the edge of Black Rock City, a dense swarm of Mosquito People immediately took to the sky.
These Mosquito People were elite warriors stationed in Black Rock City, and additional reinforcements would arrive from their overseas bases.
Although each Mosquito Person was less than three meters tall, making them appear relatively small, they were swift and agile with the blessing of the wind. They could easily scout enemy movements from above and were ready to carry warriors from the other three tribes when needed.
While Mosquito People couldn't go underwater, they could strike from the sky with spear throws, targeting enemy forces with precision.
As the Mosquito People took flight, the Snake People emerged from the other side of Black Rock City, soon joining the Dinosaur People.
Suddenly, the three tribes were united, forming an extraordinary army of more than 100,000. The ground and sky reverberated with roaring voices and tremors. The young generation in Black Rock City gazed at the warriors with admiration, their eyes filled with excitement.
The cheers and encouragement combined into a vast sea of sound.
For a moment, it felt as though the battle was already won.
Under the statue, the trembling elder watched his people march forward. His gaze seemed to transcend time, as if he were transported back to the scene thousands of years ago when his tribesmen defeated the Snake People.
Back then, they still had God the Father. But now?
Where was God the Father? Why couldn't they find him?
"Great Father God! If you are truly watching over us in our time of crisis, please protect your devoted people once again!"
The elder, feeling a pang of sadness, prayed silently.
At that moment, a familiar yet worried voice reached his ears.
"My Lord Elder, is it truly right to sacrifice our people's blood to aid the water people? Is it truly worth it?"
The speaker was a young priest standing behind the elder. He was also the next chief priest of the Dinosaur Tribe, chosen by the elder himself.
The elder looked at the young priest, his gaze steady as he replied, "Whether it's right or wrong is unimportant. What matters is that we have no choice. And as for its worth, it must be worth it."
The young priest, taken aback, considered the elder's words.
As the designated successor, he quickly grasped the meaning.
Yes, the Dinosaur People did not have the luxury of choice.
Why had they prospered so long in the absence of Father God? Was it not due to the protection of the Lord of the Near Sea and the God of Wind?
If not for their protection over thousands of years, the Snake God would likely have avenged old grievances against the Dinosaur People countless times.
No one had expected Father God to sleep for such an extended time, leaving his people unable to find him.
Thus, to repay the kindness of the Lord of the Near Sea, the Dinosaur People had to join this battle with their full strength.
If the Lord of the Near Sea and his people were destroyed by the deep-sea creatures, the stability of Black Rock City would vanish.
For this reason, the Dinosaur People had no choice in this war.
Still, the young priest was filled with worry.
Why was their Father God so unique? The other three gods awoke every few centuries and responded to their people's call. Why was their Father God so... absent?
The young priest dared not ponder further, lest he commit blasphemy.
So he began to pray silently, calling out to the majestic God of Lava and Earth in his heart.

In the deep sea, dark mud beds stretch out like small, endless mounds.
In this eternal darkness, where no light penetrates and the water pressure is immense, strange creatures lie dormant among the sand dunes.
These creatures, with fish heads and enormous, bulging eyes, are green-skinned with limbs, appearing like the evolved forms of shark-people.
But unlike shark-people, they are uglier, resembling monsters more than humanoid beings.
Covered in fins and scales with flat heads and bulging eyes, they are more like frogmen than fishmen.
These frog-fish creatures aren't as large or powerful as the shark-people, but they are numerous, spread across vast stretches of the deep sea.
Resting on the mud beds, they reveal rows of spiked teeth with every slight mouth movement, suggesting a nature far from peaceful.
The scene shifts forward to a deep-sea center, where countless frog-fishmen are gathered in darkness.
In the abyss, a frog-fishman wearing a strange bone crown emits eerie sound waves.
These waves travel through the water, entering the minds of all nearby frogmen.
"The great Lord of the Deep Sea has awakened, and the time to unify the four seas has finally arrived!"
"People of the deep sea! Let us reclaim the divine power that rightfully belongs to water and the sea for our gods."
"The false gods will be destroyed. The oceans will belong to our gods and to us, the children of the deep sea!"
Raising a scepter crafted from a shark-man's skull, the frog-fish priest in the abyss was brimming with excitement.
All around, the frog-fishmen hanging in the water let out a chilling chorus, creating a sound wave that spread far, even stirring the sea surface.
Satisfied with his people's fervor, the priest lifted his scepter.
"Go! Go forth, fearless deep-sea warriors, and destroy the followers of the false gods!"
"Ohhhh, kill the false god!"
"Ohhh, devour the followers of the false god, kill them all!"
"I want to be at the front!"
The deep-sea frogmen erupted in chaotic cries, their faces twisted with manic excitement.
As the priest declared the attack, the frogmen scattered, moving in all directions.
Their strange, sonic calls roused countless frogmen from their slumber in the sea-floor dunes, adding to the gathering mass.
The entire deep sea seemed alive with their movement, as endless waves of frogmen surged across the seabed.
