GODZILLA- CH-18. Three God
Added 2024-11-05 12:11:40 +0000 UTCGiant moths are not aggressive.
In fact, they're even a little timid. They spend most of their lives on isolated islands, rarely engaging in fights. Instinctively, they avoid conflicts with other giant beasts.
Even if you win a fight, injuries still hurt.
It has been a long time since this giant moth ventured out, ever since it was injured and forced to flee from another giant beast on the far side of the ocean tens of millions of years ago.
This time, if it weren't for the people around it using pictures to suggest there was a fight between giant beasts, and that there might be a chance to snatch some fresh blood, it wouldn't have been willing to come out.
Instead of seeing two wounded opponents, it found a powerful creature that could breathe fire.
This is a bit scary.
If it can spit fire, why would it need to steal food? Wouldn't it just attract more attention if it flew at a low altitude?
Initially, the giant moth intended to flee, seeing James as too intimidating.
But then the situation changed.
Since the other creature invited it to share in the feast, why not?
Free food!
After some thought, the giant moth took the lead and flew towards James.
Seeing the giant moth moving toward him, the water lizard in the water was momentarily stunned, then began to approach with a vigilant look.
As the three giant beasts drew closer, the sight left people from all tribes watching in awe.
"Oh my god, what is that lava god doing? Why is our Mother Goddess moving toward it? Is there going to be a fight?"
Under the cover of night, several mosquito elders in the sky began whispering to each other, their voices filled with both worry and curiosity.
"Are they really going to fight?" One mosquito man wondered aloud, "The God of Molten Flame just waved as if he wanted to discuss something with our Mother Goddess."
"After all, gods are the greatest beings. They must have mysterious ways of communicating. It's not something we mortals can understand, right?"
"And look, the water god has joined them too!"
"Wow, it's true! Oh my god, am I really seeing this? The ancient gods are gathering for the first time, and it seems they're planning to discuss something."
"This is so exciting! I must remember this sacred and incredible scene!"
A young mosquito elder cried out, eyes bright as he took out the shell wrapped around his waist and began to sketch. He wanted to record this moment, to let all mortals know about this great day.
Who knows? Maybe he'd become famous.
"The gods gathering together... This could change the way all races have fought each other for tens of millions of years." The oldest and wisest mosquito-man murmured to himself, his gaze fixed in excitement.
Although the Mosquito People are smaller and physically weaker than most extraordinary races, their intelligence is superior. They have a divergent mindset and a naturally optimistic attitude, even if they can be arrogant and a bit mischievous at times.
This intelligence led them to invent a form of communication, making them a source of information for many ethnic groups in a time when most species were hostile and spoke different languages. Their use of art to communicate laid a historical foundation for the development of a universal language.
At this moment, the mosquito people couldn't fully grasp their role in advancing world civilization, but in time, they would.
Meanwhile, the shark and dinosaur people were also talking among themselves.
Speculating on what would happen when the three gods gathered.
But no matter what happened, the mortals could only watch and wait for the final outcome.
With the snake people defeated, some scattered like headless flies, desperate to escape. Others calmed down and observed from a distance.
Though their god had lost, it hadn't died.
After all, their thermal-sensitive vision told them that the gods' body temperatures were still warm, and their hearts still beat.
They waited, hoping for an outcome. Perhaps the God of Molten Flame hadn't killed their god for a reason. Maybe it wouldn't kill him at all.
Would the enemy's god really be merciful?
Uneasy, the snake people had no choice but to wait. They didn't want to die and couldn't risk offending such a powerful being.
So, without abandoning their god, they waited. Besides, what good would fleeing do now?
Without their god's protection, they'd eventually face extermination.
In this brutal era of 'survival of the fittest,' who would beg for mercy from their enemy?
Only the most foolish would think so.
"You're really cautious, aren't you?"
James looked at the giant moth hovering high above his head and smiled indifferently.
Compared to the giant moth, the mutated water lizard showed far more courage.
It was only a few hundred meters away from James—just one or two strides for giant beasts.
The water lizard remained highly alert as it approached James, growling as if to ask why it had been summoned.
In response, James made a playful gesture, signaling the creature not to worry.
"No rush, no rush."
The meaning was clear—three sunrises and sunsets would pass quickly.
The giant moth and water lizard were initially stunned.
The moth had assumed James called them to share in feasting on the giant snake.
But what was he doing now?
They watched as James performed seemingly random actions on the ground—sometimes spewing fire, other times pounding the earth.
They couldn't understand it.
Both the moth and the water lizard considered leaving, but their curiosity about the giant beast's odd behavior kept them around.
And, just like that, three sunrises and sunsets passed.
For these colossal creatures, this brief period felt like an instant.
During this time, they witnessed the creation of the world's first ancient city.
Or rather, a colossal square city wall.
The city wall was constructed from lava James melted with his scorching flames.
As for how he managed to shape flowing lava into a city wall?
Simple.
James used the unconscious giant snake's body as a mold, bending it into a 'U' shape and pouring lava into it to form a structured wall.
To cool the lava faster, James gestured to the water lizard for help.
He pointed at the water lizard, then at the river, then at the lava.
The water lizard easily understood these simple instructions, though its expression grew increasingly puzzled as it followed James's orders.
The water lizard couldn't comprehend this sudden cooperation. In the past, giant beasts only fought each other to the death when they met.
Yet here was a beast using a battle as an excuse to unite three—no, four—giant creatures.
And instead of fighting, they were working together in harmony.
The water lizard's poor brain struggled to make sense of this.
What on earth was James doing?
Playing in the mud?
It seemed impossible, but what was his true goal?
In the minds of these beasts and all intelligent races, there was no concept of cities.
So even as they watched the emergence of this giant square structure, they remained mystified.
During those three sunrises and sunsets, James's actions captivated all four tribes.
Surrounding the scene, they continued to watch their gods, each making wild guesses about what could happen next.
