MCU- CH-196. Phoenix War
Added 2024-11-01 02:39:45 +0000 UTCAs two genetic variants with the same origin, Luke's own complex genetic system—a blend of biology, magic, and divine power—began to clash violently with Doomsday's genetic system.
In an instant, every cell in Luke's body erupted into chaos, instinctively battling the foreign presence of Doomsday.
"Come on! Become a part of me; you'll be my first step toward perfection!"
Luke possesses a vast array of powers within his body. The most foundational is the strength derived from his Kryptonian bloodline, followed by the power of the twelve talismans, magic, and a mix of divine power.
Each of these powers added a layer of armor to the cells in Luke's body.
In this initial cellular battle, Luke held an absolute advantage.
However, Doomsday's most troublesome feature is its adaptability. If not destroyed in a single blow, it drags battles into stalemates.
Doomsday begins adapting at an alarmingly fast pace to the current environment and any attacks.
The fight continued. To keep his body's cells engaged in battle, Luke could not disconnect his consciousness from his body.
At this moment, countless cells in Luke's body were killed and reborn every second, mirroring the same process in Doomsday.
From the outside, Luke's body had morphed into the appearance of a massive dragon, with black and red scales that seemed forged from steel, rippling like water.
This was a long and excruciating process, and Luke couldn't avoid the venom attached to his body.
However, compared to Luke, the pain Venom experienced was far less, as Luke was shouldering most of it.
But this didn't mean Venom's situation was better than Luke's. Luke's immense mental strength allowed him to resist Doomsday's violent, chaotic will, whereas Venom wasn't so fortunate.
Luke did everything he could, but if Venom couldn't resist Doomsday's corrosive influence and fell into madness, Luke would not hesitate to erase all of Venom's consciousness completely.
By then, all that would remain would be Venom's body.
In this microscopic battle, Doomsday's cells were inevitably being infected by the traits of Luke's cells.
This was the scenario Luke hoped for, as this kind of devouring could only end in two ways.
Either Luke would successfully absorb Doomsday, integrating its entire being into his genetic system;
Or, Luke's genetic system would be assimilated by Doomsday, turning him into a true Doomsday.
The critical difference between these two outcomes is which genetic system assumes dominance. If Luke's system remains primary, he will stay as himself, albeit with Doomsday's traits. But if Doomsday's genes dominate, Luke will transform into Doomsday.
For now, everything was progressing as Luke had anticipated. At that moment, countless cells were gradually merging, evolving through death and rebirth.
"That's right. A mindless killing machine can't possibly control this power perfectly."
Within Luke's body, his entire genetic chain shattered, and just before total collapse, a new gene chain formed to repair and enhance it, propelling evolution forward.

Outside, the Phoenix War had begun!
Countless Phoenix hosts broke through the cosmic barriers, converging on the universe where Luke's Dispelia was located.
Most of them were in the Dark Phoenix state, with their original wills suppressed by the Phoenix Force, their bodies overtaken by a darker personality.
These beings were not benign. When they sensed another bearing the same Phoenix power, they immediately fell into a murderous frenzy, driven by the urge to kill and seize this new power.
"What is happening? Why are so many Phoenix Apostles coming from outside the universe?"
"At first, there was only one, and our Shi'ar Empire paid a heavy price to eliminate it. Now there are so many—what can we do?"
This was said by Lilan Dela, the current queen of the Shi'ar Empire.
As a race evolved from a birdlike species, the Shi'ar Empire had long revered the Phoenix Force as a god.
Hundreds of years ago, a Shi'ar warrior named Ruk Hill became a host for the Phoenix Force, a moment that filled the entire Shi'ar Empire with pride.
However, Ruk Hill's exposure to the Phoenix Force gave rise to a dark side, and under the urge for destruction and the lust for power, he transformed into the Dark Phoenix.
The Shi'ar Empire sacrificed an entire Imperial Guard unit to stop him, eventually bringing him down in a climactic duel.
Yet this victory inflicted great damage upon the Shi'ar Empire.
Afterward, the Phoenix Force was no longer seen as divine but as a calamity. The descendants of Ruk Hill were even executed to prevent the rise of another Dark Phoenix.
Fleets roamed the galaxy, hunting down Phoenix Force hosts. Jean had clashed with their fleets before.
But now, with so many Phoenix hosts emerging simultaneously, the Shi'ar Empire was thrown into chaos.
"Mr. Dou Jian, can you defeat all the Phoenixes?"
The Queen addressed the swordsman standing before her with a resolute expression.
He was the Shi'ar Empire's protector, its greatest hero, and a man who radiated unshakeable confidence.
"Your Majesty, as long as the Imperial Guard and I stand, no Phoenix Apostle will harm the Shi'ar."
Self-confidence is the wellspring of Dou Jian's power. Even if he knew he couldn't single-handedly repel all the Phoenixes, he maintained complete belief in himself.
If his confidence faltered, so would his strength.
"The Empire's safety rests on you!"
The Queen placed her trust in the sword.
As the Shi'ar prepared for war, the Phoenix hosts were already clashing violently!
Wave after wave of devastation rippled from the heart of the battle.
Nearby planets suffered collateral damage, reduced to ash by the Phoenix's flames.
In the chaos, Phoenix hosts fell one after another, their released Phoenix energy immediately finding new hosts, perpetuating the conflict.
Jean, stationed on Dispelia, watched, pale and murmured, "This is exactly like the scene from my dream. Teacher, where are you?"
Wu Fengji wasn't in much better shape. As Phoenix hosts themselves, they felt the brutality of the battle more than anyone else.
Each Phoenix host's death fortified the original Phoenix Force, and her heart trembled.
