MCU- CH-194. Phoenix meets Phoenix

Before seeing Wu Fengji, Jean was worried, but after seeing with her own eyes the last Phoenix host killed by herself in her dream, Jean felt she might have foreseen the future.

Luke would die, the entire universe would be destroyed, and that terrible nightmare would gradually become a reality.

"Nur, where is the teacher? I need to find him immediately. It's very important." Jean asked Noor, who was standing next to Wu Fengji, anxiously.

"Your Highness Jean, the master's whereabouts are not something I would know. If it's urgent, you may wait for him in the master's temple." Nur replied.

Seeing Jean's anxious look, Nur sensed that something serious was troubling her, but he had no other options. After all, a being like Luke could move to another universe with just a thought. Nur was merely Luke's servant; how could he know his master's whereabouts?

"You are also the host of the Phoenix Force." Wu Fengji spoke as she approached Jean.

Jean looked at the person she had killed in her dream, unsure of how to respond.

In her dream, the group of Phoenix hosts from various universes had fought endlessly and ultimately perished. The Phoenix power within them flowed to her and to Wu Fengji.

When she saw Luke killed by the terrible dark god, in a desire for revenge, she extinguished the last bit of kindness in her heart, ruthlessly killed Wu Fengji, and allowed the complete Phoenix to reappear in the multiverse, perishing together with the evil god.

"Get out of here now!" Jean commanded.

After much internal struggle, Jean decided to make her first change, urging Wu Fengji to leave. Then she planned to inform Luke about the Phoenix battles in her dream, hoping he could prevent it.

That way, the universe would remain intact, the dark god would not appear, her teacher would live, and the nightmare would be avoided.

"I would like to leave, but His Majesty the Divine King won't permit it." Wu Fengji said, smiling bitterly and shaking her head.

"The teacher won't allow you to leave? Why?" Jean was confused.

"He said there would be a big show soon, and I might be an actor in this drama."

Wu Fengji felt helpless. She had initially come to investigate the strange behavior of the Phoenix Power within her but had become ensnared in this situation.

'Does the teacher already know something?'

'Absolutely. With the power he possesses, he must have foreseen the coming cosmic war.'

'Then why hasn't he made any preparations? And where is he now?'

Jean felt as if she understood something, but at the same time, she was even more confused.

"It seems you are meant to perform the final act in this cosmic drama that your teacher has prepared. Wu Fengji sighed.

Ever since she learned Jean was also a Phoenix host and from how Jean referred to Luke, Wu Fengji began to suspect that this was all part of Luke's grand plan.

He was using the force called the power of will as bait to draw in the Phoenix energy scattered across the multiverse, intending to capture it all and use it to empower the Phoenix host before him. Unfortunately, Wu Fengji, who believed she saw through everything, was powerless to stop it.

A small ant cannot topple a towering tree, and a weak creature cannot halt an unstoppable force. In comparison to Luke, her strength was insignificant, while Luke was like the world tree spanning the universe.

"Do you know something?" Jean asked, not fully understanding Wu Fengji's words, though it was evident from her tone that everything seemed connected to her. It appeared her teacher was planning something involving her.

"You're unaware? That's strange! Your teacher should have informed you of something like this to prepare you properly." Noting the genuine confusion on Jean's face, Wu Fengji began to doubt her theory.

'Is it possible?Wu Fengji thought of a darker possibility.

Perhaps they were merely supporting roles in this drama, and the one who truly sought to harness the Phoenix's full power was His Majesty the Divine King.

The more she pondered, the more Wu Fengji felt her theory was accurate. After all, the complete power of the Phoenix was immeasurable, a temptation too powerful to resist.

Even His Majesty the Divine King, who seemed invincible.

Realizing this, Wu Fengji looked at Jean with a trace of pity.

'You are such a naive and pitiful child. You probably never realized that your dearest teacher is coveting the Phoenix Force within you.'

'Maybe he accepted you as his disciple solely because of the Phoenix's power.'

'From the very start, it was a deception, yet you trusted him and saw him as your most trusted mentor. It's truly tragic.'

'It seems that what Shou Lao said about his people being cunning, ruthless, and ambitious is true.'

At that moment, Luke's image completely collapsed in Wu Fengji's mind. She had followed Nur for days, listening to him extolling Luke's greatness. She had even begun to lose her fear of Luke, feeling a kind of admiration.

But now, not only was the Phoenix within her terrified, but she also felt an overwhelming dread.

Looking at Nur beside her, she became wary of him as well, sensing that she had been subtly influenced by him.

Yet, she didn't consider that the Phoenix's power itself originated from thought and consciousness. If Noor could influence her, then the Phoenix within her would not exist!

However, Wu Fengji, now blinded by her imagined truth, had stopped contemplating other possibilities.

Jean, on the other hand, felt bewildered looking at this woman, her elder from Earth. Although Wu Fengji hadn't expressed her thoughts, Jean could read emotions of pity, fear, and despair in her face.

Jean couldn't understand what had unsettled her so much, and it felt as though Wu Fengji was trapped in her thoughts, unable to answer any questions.

At this point, Jean decided it might be best to head to the temple and await Luke's return. After all, nothing had happened yet, and the scene from her dream was, for now, just a dream.
