---
"I learned from Death earlier that the Planet Devourer was coming, and I thought the target was Earth. I didn't expect you, the Planet Devourer's servant, would target my Dispelia Planet instead. You really know how to pick your targets!"
Seeing Silver Surfer, Luke naturally understood that his Dispelia Planet had attracted this vanguard officer. After all, the life energy represented by a World Tree is immeasurable. The original World Tree hadn't appeared since the battle of the ancient gods, and this time, Luke intercepted it as soon as it emerged!
When Silver Surfer heard Luke mention the name of Death, his typically stoic face showed a trace of horror, and his eyes widened. Having followed Galactus for so long, Silver Surfer naturally knew the names of the five great creation gods. Death, as the ultimate end of all in the multiverse, was more renowned than any other.
No matter what kind of lifeform one was, they may never encounter the other gods of creation in their lifetime, but Death was inevitable. Moreover, although Galactus was revered as one of the creation gods, his constant hunger made his strength pale in comparison to the other great gods. After all, Galactus was merely a remnant from the last cosmic era, different from the physical embodiment of universal rules like Eternity.
Now, Luke could mention Death so casually, proving he had encountered the great god before. Judging from his tone, Luke seemed unfazed by the title of the God of Creation. Immediately, Silver Surfer prepared to send a message to Galactus, urging him to change course and head to Earth instead.
However, Luke saw through his plan and swiftly stripped him from his board, instantly interrupting the transmission. Without his board, Silver Surfer reverted to a powerless mortal, Norrin Radd.
"I'm in charge of this area. Galactus may have picked the wrong place if he's looking to fill his stomach," Luke said, effortlessly picking Silver Surfer up and wrapping him in a biological force field to prevent him from being consumed by the void of space.
At that moment, Silver Surfer felt a sense of despair. He knew Luke was not to be trifled with. If Galactus arrived and failed to defeat the man in front of him, Galactus would be so starved he might return and devour his home planet. Silver Surfer had agreed to serve Galactus to save his world and loved ones, but now, all that seemed doomed.
"Respected warrior, please let me go. I swear I'll persuade my master to stay away from your planet." Silver Surfer pleaded, "I don't mean to offend you. I've already chosen another planet as sustenance for my master."
"It's too late. He's already here!" Luke replied.
As they spoke, the surrounding space trembled violently, and the stars dimmed. Despair washed over Silver Surfer's face as his eyes lost hope.
A terrifying vortex, resembling a chaotic nebula, tore through space, devouring everything in its path. It left only an endless void in its wake. The next moment, the nebula condensed into an enormous figure, too vast to comprehend. Clad in purple armor, his hands were large enough to engulf the entire Dispelia. Galactus's immense eyes gazed at the planet before him with ravenous hunger.
The life force radiating from Dispelia was like a powerful lure to Galactus. As for Luke, who appeared as insignificant as a speck of dust, Galactus paid him no mind. Hunger consumed his every thought; he only desired to devour the planet before him. His instincts told him that consuming this world would finally sate his hunger.
Without hesitation, Galactus stretched out his massive hand, as if to crush Dispelia like a mere candy.
At this moment, everyone on Dispelia felt the immense pressure from Galactus. They instinctively looked toward Luke, but the god had disappeared. Before anyone could react, Thor transformed into a bolt of lightning and rushed out to confront Galactus.
However, the next second, Galactus's giant form was sent flying backward.
"Who is it?" Galactus roared, enraged.
He looked up and saw Luke flying before him, holding Silver Surfer in one hand.
"You are just a strong little insect. How dare you stand in the way of the great Devourer of Worlds? I will consume you too!" Galactus bellowed, swinging his colossal arm toward Luke.
Driven by hunger and fury, Galactus failed to realize Luke was unlike any opponent he had faced before. What met him was a series of punches, each delivered by Luke's seemingly insignificant fists.
Though Galactus was clad in armor, unlike the other creation gods, he possessed a body of flesh and blood. Pain—a sensation long forgotten—resurfaced. The agony left Galactus, the tyrant who dominated the universe, bewildered. What was happening was beyond his comprehension!
However, the intense pain briefly brought Galactus back to his senses, his sanity momentarily overriding the hunger that had consumed him. His massive size made it difficult for him to fight Luke effectively. Without hesitation, Galactus shrank his body down to just a few meters tall. He thought that in this form, he could match Luke's speed, but reality, combined with Luke's relentless attacks, delivered him a harsh lesson.
Galactus found himself continuously pummeled, unable to land a single blow. His rage once again overpowered his reason. Brilliant cosmic energy began to condense in Galactus's hands, and he unleashed it recklessly in all directions. This high-dimensional energy, a remnant from the destruction of the previous universe, was incredibly destructive and possessed numerous magical properties. For instance, through the bestowal of this energy, an ordinary being like the Silver Surfer could be forcibly elevated to the same power level as Odin, and magical abilities could be created from it.
Luke took an interest in this magical cosmic energy. While protecting Dispelia, he gathered a considerable amount of it, intending to study it later. However, as Galactus grew more frenzied, appearing ready to strip off the armor that restrained his leaking energy, Luke abandoned his energy collection efforts. He teleported directly in front of Galactus and ruthlessly struck his head with a barrage of powerful blows.
The series of heavy punches caused Galactus to physically collapse and lose consciousness.
"Brother Eternity, it seems you may need to intervene this time." One of the other cosmic entities remarked.
"If this continues, Galactus might resort to using the Ultimate Nullifier." Another added.
The remaining four cosmic entities, who had been observing the battle, voiced their concerns to Eternity. Although Galactus's strength was weaker than theirs, he had appeared earlier in the universe, and under Eternity's leadership, the other great gods respected him as their brother.
If Galactus were driven to the point of using the Ultimate Nullifier, regardless of the outcome, both he and Luke would face dire consequences.
Eternity remained silent but appeared in front of Luke the next moment.
