X-MEN- CH-80. A farm?

But then Martin thought, that person is himself, and all the visual, tactile, and other senses are his own feelings. So he suppressed this feeling and tried to ignore it. From now on, he won't be able to accompany them with his clones at the same time; he don't have that kind of ability.

"Farm? Why do you suddenly want to do this?" Jean asked curiously.

"Just for fun. There's nothing to do anyway."

Jean looked at Martin speechlessly, "Then where do you want to do it?"

"California or Texas, where the land is vast, and the people are tough. It should be interesting."

"Why not New York? Going to another state is too far." Jean's expression softened a little. Over the past few years, they had been apart more than together because of school, and now Martin was talking about going to another state.

"Uh... yeah, well, it'll be near New York." Martin said, backtracking.

Hearing Martin's words, Jean nodded with satisfaction and fed him a bite of food with a smile on her face.

After they finished their meal, they left the restaurant and stepped outside, only to see a luxury sports car roar to a stop outside. The person who got out from the driver's seat was a familiar young man, and the person stepping out of the passenger seat was a striking beauty. Judging by their ages, they seemed to be students.

The two were just hugging each other and about to walk toward the restaurant when they noticed Jean and changed direction, walking toward her instead.

"Jean, long time no see."

"Mr. Stark, what's the matter?" Jean asked with a smile.

"I just came to say hello." Tony Stark turned to look at Martin and extended his hand, "Tony Stark. What's your name?"

"Nobody important. How's your father, Howard? Still in good health?" Martin asked, extending his hand.

Tony's expression shifted slightly, and he responded impatiently, "Yes, not bad. Do you know him?"

Many people tried to connect with Tony by using his father's name, so Tony was slightly annoyed.

Tony is still very rebellious at this age... and likely will remain so for a long time.

"Yes, it was a long time ago."

Tony smiled disdainfully and said, "Really? Can you tell me your name? I'll mention you to him when I get back."

"Martin Horn. But a big shot like him might not remember me."

"Oh..." Tony thought he understood what Martin was doing, trying to approach him by claiming to know his father. He figured Martin had already hinted Howard might not recall him, which would make him seem less imposing.

"We should go." Martin said, turning to Jean.

Jean nodded.

As they walked away, Jean asked, "I didn't know you knew Howard Stark."

"I met Howard twice before. He might not remember me now. We were both regulars at the same bar back then. But considering SHIELD's power, they probably have records. During the war, I and a few others made some contributions. The name of my company is Horn Group, a multinational high-tech company, so they would know about it."

"Not too familiar. His son really resembles him. But Howard's gotten better, I think." Martin said, thinking of the man who even dared to pursue Peggy Carter, and he smiled.

"Thinking of something amusing?"

"Yeah, that's it..." Martin said, recalling past events.

On the way back to Jean's place, Martin told her about his experiences during the war. The war years were cruel but fascinating to later generations, and Jean listened intently.

Back at the company, after spending some intimate time with Emma and the others, Emma brought up something that had happened recently.

"Everything is going smoothly with company matters, but a few days ago, someone came to us wanting to cooperate in infiltrating other countries." Emma said, "I used a little trick to get rid of them."

"How did they want to cooperate?" Martin asked curiously.

"They wanted to monitor our communications network."

"Oh, tell them to get lost." Martin said disdainfully, "Which agencies?"

"Several, but the most powerful ones were probably the CIA and the military."

"Is there a group called S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Martin asked curiously.

"S.H.I.E.L.D.? No, never heard of it."

Martin nodded. S.H.I.E.L.D. operated under other organizations' names, so it wasn't surprising that Emma hadn't heard of them.

"They'll figure out you did something." Martin said, "Those organizations have many intelligent people. Even if they don't find anything, they'll be suspicious. Best case, they'll leave, but if you need help, let me know."

"It's okay, let them come. It's a chance to have some fun. The company's secrets are safe with us, especially with Yuriko on our side. If they notice anything unusual, we'll handle it." Emma said confidently.

"Your people are still reliable?"

Emma chuckled, "I'm not the same as I used to be. No one can escape my control. The mutants are living stable lives now. No one is trying anything. If something comes up, the company steps in to solve it."

The "Sentinel" program, which threatened mutants, was no longer an issue, but Martin knew another danger—Jimmy, a boy born years later, who could potentially eliminate mutants.

As long as Eric and the others didn't interfere with him or his people, he didn't care about their actions. In this world, the richer you are, the safer you become, and with the size of the Horn Group, it was unlikely they would face any real threats.

High technology was everything now, and with Yuriko's help, their network and communications were advancing rapidly. It would only get stronger.

Thinking of "Sentinel" reminded Martin of Raven. The Sentinels were created using her genetic research, but Martin would never allow that future to unfold.

After discussing the company, Martin said, "I want a piece of land."

Emma asked, "Where?"

"Near New York. Let's build a farm for fun."

"Any specific requirements?"

"Remote, quiet, and accessible. That's all."

Emma nodded, "I'll take care of it."

Martin pulled her into a hug and kissed her cheek, "Thanks, baby."

"There's a lounge inside. Want to thank me properly?" She teased.

"Haha, of course."

After thanking Emma, Martin made sure Yuriko wasn't left out either. After all, one shouldn't show favoritism.

...

"Logan, what are you up to?"

"At work."

Even Wolverine has to go to work.
