MCU- CH-176. Origin Divine Power

Even though it had existed for billions of years and had lost its soul, Luke could still feel the abnormal vitality radiating from it! In the past, Knull had been like a mad dog in the universe, provoking many gods, both great and small. He was thought to be dead numerous times, yet after lying dormant for a while, he would reappear alive and kicking.

However, after Knull went off the rails last time, his soul had been sealed on Earth, and he had the misfortune of falling into Luke's hands, where his fate was sealed.

"Master, this Necrosword is the key to opening the Living Abyss."

After some wriggling, Venom condensed into a pair of hands and presented the Necrosword to Luke.

"Why? I've already given you the Necrosword, and now you want to give it back to me?"

"Can't you be more ambitious? You are my symbiote now, and you've already broken through the restrictions Knull placed on symbiotes. What are you still afraid of?"

"Even if Knull somehow survived, I could kill him with a flick of my finger, you useless piece of garbage."

Sensing Venom's emotions, Luke knew exactly what it was thinking and couldn't help but scold it angrily.

Even though Venom had escaped from Knull's control, it still harbored an instinctive fear of its creator. So now, it hesitated to use the Necrosword to open the Living Abyss within Knull's body, as though Knull might come back to life at any moment.

After Luke's reprimand, Venom finally gathered its courage, separated from Luke, and then raised the Necrosword, stabbing it into Knull's chest.

Suddenly, an inky, malevolent energy began leaking from Knull's body, but Venom eagerly devoured the energy, drooling as it revealed an intoxicated yet hideous smile.

"Get out of my way, you disgrace." Luke said, kicking Venom aside with disgust. He stepped forward and tore open Knull's chest completely.

Inside was a void, like a boundless black hole, and Luke extended his consciousness into that space.

After carefully inspecting it, Luke had a rough idea of what this Living Abyss was. It was an ownerless parallel dimension, similar to the dark dimension Dormammu had once discovered. However, Knull had only chosen to draw power from it rather than fully merge with it to become a dimensional lord.

Considering Knull's nature—a being born divine at the dawn of the universe—it made sense. Although merging with the dimension would have been a quick path to power, it would have imposed significant limitations on him, something that conflicted with Knull's desire to cause chaos throughout the universe.

"Venom, all the conditions are in place. Knull is history. Whether or not you can control the Living Abyss and replace Knull as the new God of Symbiotes is up to you now."

"Don't let me down!"

Luke's words were calm, but Venom understood that this was his only chance. If he failed to seize this opportunity, he would no longer be worthy of being Luke's symbiote.

With newfound determination, Venom lunged at Knull's body, determined to devour the creator that had once enslaved them and take his place as the new conduit between the Living Abyss and the real world.

Time passed slowly, and Luke watched Venom's efforts in silence. Venom's aura fluctuated between strong and weak, but Luke had no intention of helping.

This was Venom's unique destiny. If he could conquer it, he would ascend to unimaginable power.

In the meantime, Luke decided to open the Ragnarok treasure chest he had obtained earlier.

"System, open the treasure chest for me!"

At Luke's command, the system projected the image of the treasure chest that had been sealed for so long in front of him.

[Ding! The treasure chest is opened. Congratulations on obtaining the Origin Divine Power (residual).]

"Origin Divine Power? What is that? I've never heard of it before."

Luke was confused. He had heard of origin power in the DC universe, but this version of origin power, especially marked as incomplete, was new to him.

[Ding! Origin Divine Power is the power the Creator used to create the ancient gods. The ancient chaos gods were born by combining origin power with certain rules. This residual origin power is what the Creator left behind after creating the ancient gods. It is sufficient to create another ancient chaos god.]

After hearing the system's explanation, Luke felt he had a clearer understanding.

"So, you're saying I can use this to create a multi-dimensional powerhouse capable of rivaling the ancient chaos gods, right?"

[Ding! That understanding is correct.]

"Seriously, system? You couldn't have given me this sooner? Now that I'm already stronger, you're finally willing to give it to me!"

[Ding! Reminder: The treasure chest mission was completed long ago. You chose not to open the chest immediately. This has nothing to do with the system. Furthermore, all treasure chest rewards are generated randomly. The system does not interfere.]

"Not interfering doesn't mean you can't interfere. So, what you're saying is, you do have ways to influence the treasures inside the chest!"

"System, you wouldn't want to embarrass yourself in front of your system colleagues because of me, right? I'm not asking for much. Maybe next time, you could give me something that would let me enter the super universe or omnipotent universe directly?"

Luke quickly picked up on the loophole in the system's response and began to argue.

[Ding! Stop dreaming. Instead of relying on me to take shortcuts, think about how to trigger missions. That's the proper way forward.]

The system rejected Luke's proposal, even trying to lecture him.

"Don't be so rigid! I'm working hard to increase my strength so that you won't be embarrassed when you encounter other systems in the future!"

"Think about it: we're in this together. We share the same glory and disgrace. If you help me, you're helping yourself. There's no sense in holding back from yourself, right?"

"System? Are you listening? I know you're still there, come out!"

Luke tried to sweet-talk his own system into submission.

However, despite his efforts, the system remained silent.

This was just a bit of Luke's mischief. If the system actually did give him a big surprise, Luke would start to wonder if it had ulterior motives.
