X-MEN- CH-72. What Earth!

"Well... the aunt is Raven, and the uncle is Martin."
"..."
Raven was talking to the mother and daughter, while Martin focused his attention on the two golden men.
"You should be Sovereigns, right?" He asked, looking at the two golden men.
If they didn't move, they would look like golden statues from a distance.
"Yes, Mr. Martin." One of the men said, raising his head.
The tone was a little stiff and the expression serious, but Martin didn't feel any malice. Arrogance was just part of their nature, but it didn't mean they were ungrateful or overestimated their abilities.
"That's good. Just call me Martin. I've accepted a mission to Sovereign Planet, so I can take you back with me."
"Thank you, sir. I will inform our high priest of your kindness. The Sovereigns believe in the spirit of contracts and do not like to owe others."
"Well, I like people with a spirit of contract."
"Thanks."
The Sovereign smiled, clearly taking Martin's words as a compliment.
"Raven, can you show them to a room?"
"Okay. I'll take Camilla and the others to find a room as well." Raven said, glancing at Martin.
"Alright." After agreeing, Martin looked at the two Sovereigns and said, "If you have any problems, you can find her or me."
The two nodded in greeting and followed Raven away. Thanks to Fate's memories, the two knew the battleship better than anyone else.
"What about you?"
After everyone left, only two men in uniform remained.
"Sir, we are members of the Nova Corps' guard. We have been ordered to come here to retrieve the criminals."
"Criminals? Did you catch them?"
Martin had a favorable impression of the Nova Corps from his knowledge and the movies he had seen.
"Yes."
"Why didn't I see them?" Martin asked, puzzled.
"That's the mother and daughter."
Martin's eyes widened in disbelief, "What? Them? A powerless mother and daughter are your criminals?"
"Yes."
Maybe you can't judge a book by its cover?
Martin thought for a moment and asked, "What crime have they committed?"
According to their story, Camilla's father had been a soldier in the Nova Corps. However, for unknown reasons, he deserted with his wife and daughter. To the Nova Corps, this was treason. A warrant had been issued, and they were sent to Trede to capture them. But during the capture, the deserter died, leaving only his wife and daughter.
"We will take them back. The Supreme won't harm them."
Martin raised an eyebrow and looked at the two men, "Are you sure you're not neglecting your duty because you're worried about returning empty-handed?"
"No, sir. Even if we return without them, as long as we report the truth, we won't be punished. Actually, we were told that if we couldn't retrieve them, we should arrange a ransom and be released."
"Hmm."
Fate and his men hadn't dared to offend the Nova Corps. They planned to handle the mother and daughter quietly while sending the Nova Corps' guards away with money.
Martin thought for a moment and said, "Contact your people and ask them to pick you up as soon as possible. I have other matters to attend to and can't delay for long."
"Alright, we'll do that immediately."
One of them hurried to the control panel to operate it while the other looked at Martin curiously.
"Sir, where are you from? I've never seen a race like yours."
It wasn't that teleportation and energy projection abilities didn't exist, but to them, most were technological products. The ability to release energy was usually a trait of powerful races.
"Hey, I'm from Earth."
The man's eyes widened, "What? Earth? But... isn't it still primitive? Sorry."
The Nova Corps was relatively familiar with Earth, as it was their neighbor.
"It's alright. Earth is still relatively primitive, but without all your rules and restrictions, it has more possibilities. Anyway, enjoy yourselves. Just don't damage my battleship. Once you're done, find a place to rest. Oh, and activate the cleaning robots to tidy the ship. No traces of the past, got it?"
Martin stopped talking and wandered off to explore.
"Okay, don't worry."
The battleship had three floors: upper, middle, and lower. The lowest floor was the cargo hold and spacecraft parking area. The middle level contained the control room, rest areas, and the passage bridge connecting the floors. The top floor was the accommodation area.
Martin floated in the air, visiting the lower floors, which were relatively clean. When he reached the accommodation area on the top floor, he found the rooms messy and dirty.
Martin frowned and destroyed all personal belongings and traces of previous occupants, leaving only the original furnishings.
"This is much better now."
There were only two rooms left: one occupied by the Sovereigns and the other by Camilla and her daughter, with Raven also inside.
Martin knocked on the door and entered to find Raven holding Camilla on her lap while chatting with Marilyn, who sat opposite them.
Marilyn looked more relaxed now, no longer as nervous as before. Camilla sat obediently in Raven's arms, blinking her big eyes as she listened.
When Marilyn saw Martin enter, she stood up, looking a bit restrained.
"Haha, looks like you all had a good chat."
Martin sat down in a chair next to Raven and gestured for Marilyn to relax.
After hearing what Martin said, Raven turned to Marilyn and said, "Sit down, it's okay."
"Um."
After Marilyn sat down, Martin said, "I spoke to the two Nova Corps officers. They contacted their people, and someone will come to take you back."
"Thank you." Marilyn said with a sigh of relief. Finally, she could leave this place, which held no good memories.
Raven, however, looked a little disappointed. "They're leaving so soon..."
"Yes, dear, they have their own lives."
