X-MEN- CH-68. Ego is absorbed

Energy absorption is the ability to absorb and utilize energy from stars and other living things. Simply put, you've heard of Superman, right? He gets stronger by basking in the sun! However, unlike life devouring, energy absorption only absorbs the energy of living organisms and does not include memory, knowledge, vitality, etc.

All four abilities are powerful, but these are not the abilities Martin wants most. What he wanted most was the ability to be in planet form, but he didn't have it. The reason should be that this is Ego's true form, not his abilities. Again, it's good to have it. From then on, "Mom doesn't have to worry about me not having blue anymore," even though he never lacked blue. As long as there are stars, energy absorption is not useful at all.

"Yondu, you're here." A middle-aged man flew over from a distance and said with a smile.

"Where is he? Where is my son?" Ego asked impatiently. Martin was getting restless. He felt the energy fluctuations around him, especially those coming from under his feet, and he could not help but start eating.

"Ego, I have something to ask you. Where are the other children?" Yondu asked.

Ego's face suddenly fell, "What does this have to do with you?"

"I just want to know their whereabouts."

"Hehe..." Ego sneered and closed his eyes to feel it, then looked up into the sky, "Yeah... He's there."

Ego sensed that his child was nearby and thought that Yondu would bring him along, but he didn't. Instead, he started asking about other children.

"Since you want to meddle in other people's business, I will kill you first and then take..." Before Ego could finish his words, he suddenly fell down.

"Those kids died." Martin said.

"How do you know?" Yondu asked in surprise.

Martin pointed to his brain and said, "I can explore his memory."

"What's wrong with him?"

"Let him sleep, lest... he runs away, haha... Okay, I'll do something, you guys follow me."

After Martin finished speaking, he controlled a deep pit to appear under his feet, and then continued downwards. Later, Martin felt that it was a bit slow, so he started bombing directly. Yondu and Raven flew behind him.

"Where are you going?"

Martin did not answer, but just kept breaking through the interior of the planet.

"Fuck... that's so stupid."

Martin suddenly stopped, patted his head angrily, and said. The planet Ego was not big, and he could fully feel what the interior of the planet looked like. He could just teleport there. He had never played this before, so he didn't remember it at once.

In excitement, he opened the portal and brought the two to the core of the planet. The space here was quite large, with rocks intertwined around it, and a round object wrapped in the center, which was the core of Ego.

Absorbing on the surface of the planet is not as fast as absorbing in the core, and this is Ego's true form. He broke a part of the core's shell, exposing the brain inside. After the shell was broken, Martin felt that Ego's consciousness had recovered a little, so he quickly increased his control, and Ego calmed down again.

It really is a brain, as tall as a person, and glowing with blue light.

"Wait for me here."

After saying that, Martin came to the brain, pressed his hand on it, and said in one word, "Suck!!!"

"Ahhhhhh..." Suddenly, Ego's roar was heard in the center of the earth, but under Martin's control, he could only helplessly fall asleep again.

"You only have energy. If your telepathy was stronger, I wouldn't be able to control you so easily. Hehehe..." Martin complained in his heart while absorbing energy and controlling Ego.

"So, you can't be biased..." Energy absorption is not satisfying enough, so continue to use the energy control absorption ability. If it is still not enough, plant another plant seed. As soon as the seeds touched the ground, they began to spread rapidly in all directions.

Soon, except for the place where the three people were standing, the rest of the area was filled with blue spores.

Martin put one hand on the brain and the other on the spores, and with a two-pronged approach, the absorption speed was greatly accelerated. So fast that Martin felt a swelling sensation.

"Ah... who are you?" Ego's voice came again.

"Be good... go to sleep."

"No..." As Martin absorbed it, the entire planet began to tremble and earthquakes began to occur on the surface.

"Martin..." Yondu shouted in panic.

"It's okay, don't worry, just stay there and give me some time." The rocks that fell around were all smashed by Martin, and no one was hurt at all.

Enhance. Enhance.

As time went by, Martin's strength continued to grow. The dark red energy of the Phoenix Force began to spread around Martin's body, annihilating all non-friendly units it came into contact with.

"A little more, a little more..."

He could feel that his strength was about to break through to the next level.

"No... We are the same kind; you can't do this to me..." Perhaps sensing Martin's change, Ego roared unwillingly, with fear in his voice. Martin used the same ability as him, making Ego mistakenly believe that Martin was the same kind as him.

"I told you to sleep!"

Martin was annoyed at being interrupted at the critical moment, so he tightened his control and locked Ego's consciousness in his brain. The huge amount of energy greatly increased Martin's strength. Gradually, Ego was no longer Martin's opponent, not to mention the psychic ability that was the most restrained against him.

Suddenly, as the phoenix's shadow flew around him and then plunged into Martin's body, Martin felt that he had once again entered the mysterious state he had been in a few years ago.

His consciousness seemed to be pulled to an unknown area of the universe. Martin was floating in the universe, with an endless nebula in front of him. He looked like a phoenix emerging from the fire and spreading its wings to fly high.

But he could still feel Yondu and Raven behind him, who were now motionless. Martin felt that the time around him had come to a standstill, and the phoenix continued to split out tiny energies and headed towards Martin. Ego's energy was also turning into nourishment for the Phoenix Force at a very fast speed.

'I don't know how long it took; maybe a moment, maybe a few minutes, maybe several hours. Martin suddenly opened his eyes, and this time, he did not completely lose contact with the Phoenix Force but could sense her presence. This power can be used to a greater extent in the future.

He pulled out one hand, opened his palm, and a ball of deep red energy appeared. Realizing that Ego's energy was running low, it was of no use to him now. It felt like Ego had completely lost consciousness and was in a state of lethargy.

Martin pressed the ball of Phoenix Force in his hand towards Ego's brain and said to Yondu and Raven, "Open the protective suit."
