MCU- CH-165. A new group joins the fight

Watching the melee between Gorr's minions and the gods from all walks of life below, the progress of the Ragnarok mission on Luke's system panel began to slowly advance.

"God-Slayer Gorr, so you're the one driving this new Ragnarok. I just wonder if your methods are tough enough, and if your body can withstand a beating!"

Seeing Hela wielding a sword and attacking Gorr, Luke could only sigh internally. Hela wasn't as soft as Thor. Her decisiveness in killing certainly suited her title as the Goddess of Death. After hearing that someone aimed to hunt down gods, Hela clearly saw Gorr as a dead man walking.

Luke remained calmly standing in the void, observing the chaos below, although the true cause of everything happening now was him. To be honest, in Luke's eyes, none of the gods from the Nine Realms posed a threat. If he took them seriously, he could obliterate them all with a single punch!

So, while the battle below appeared like a clash of gods, in Luke's eyes, it was no different from a brawl among ordinary mortals. Even a peak god like Zeus, the head of a pantheon, who established the so-called Greek Pantheon, had wasted his life unable to break that barrier and become a truly immortal god of the universe.

If you can't become immortal, you are ultimately just an ant.

Here, Gorr was slaughtering gods mercilessly, and the Black Death Sword in his hand was voraciously devouring the divine essence of every dead gods. At that moment, a black sword flew through the air, aiming straight for Gorr's face.

Bang!

Gorr blocked the flying sword with his own and knocked it away. However, in the next second, a dark green figure appeared in front of him, holding an identical black sword—the same as the one that had just flown at him.

"God-Slayer! Quite the title." Hela spoke coldly, her tone chilling, "Don't think you can ignore the gods just because you've killed a few pieces of trash!"

"Who are you?" Gorr asked, unfamiliar with Hela, as she had been sealed away early on and hadn't caused much of a stir after her release.

"You don't even know me? And yet you claim to hunt down all the gods in the universe?" Hela said grimly.

"I'm not interested in knowing who you are. But if you're on this battlefield, there's only one fate awaiting you—to become prey beneath my sword." Gorr responded with a sickening tone.

Without saying another word, Hela threw the Night Sky Sword at Gorr like a dart. Then, with both hands, she swept back her hair, transforming her messy locks into a crown—Hela's combat form.

Gorr was furious. Hela, a goddess who didn't flee but instead dared to challenge him, the notorious God-Slayer, had angered him. Gods had fallen before him, their once mighty bodies becoming cold corpses at his feet. This gave Gorr fleeting satisfaction after the gods he once worshipped had betrayed him, leaving his wife, daughter, and tribe to perish without even sparing them a glance.

If the gods were unjust, he would pull them from their thrones and trample them beneath his feet.

Especially with the Necrosword in his hand—every god who laid eyes on it feared it. But now, here stood a fearless goddess before him. Gorr launched into battle with Hela.

"I thought the God-Slayer was powerful, but it turns out you're mediocre. No wonder the gods who fell to you were mere trash!" Hela taunted, clearly disappointed after their skirmish.

Gorr's fighting ability left much to be desired in Hela's eyes. Whether it was his strength, speed, or combat skills, they were all pitifully lacking compared to hers. As Odin's former vanguard in the conquest of the Nine Realms, Hela had honed her skills far beyond Gorr's mere god-slaying rampages.

After just a few dozen rounds, Gorr was already covered in bruises, unable even to touch the hem of Hela's cloak. Yet, Gorr had become almost one with the Necrosword, and the minor injuries he sustained were instantly healed by its power.

"You're the first god I've faced who dared to stand against my God-Killing Sword. You must be a nameless existence among the gods." Gorr sneered, "Now, you're worthy of telling me your name. After I kill you, I'll carve it into the Shadow Kingdom."

Hela laughed disdainfully"Kill me? Do you want me to tell you that death itself is my divine name?"

As the Goddess of Death, Hela had faced death countless times—whether it was the death she commanded or the many she killed during her conquest of the Nine Realms.

Hearing Hela's response, Gorr's eyes narrowed. He had never encountered a god whose domain was death itself. This only fueled his desire to bring her down.

However, Gorr soon realized he couldn't gain the upper hand against Hela in a direct fight. So, he plunged the Necrosword into the ground before him. Instantly, endless shadows spread out, and countless monsters emerged from the darkness.

"Hmph! Do you think you're the only one who can summon cannon fodder?" Hela sneered, unfazed by the onslaught, "I am the Goddess of Death, ruler of the kingdom of the dead. Let me show you the undead warriors of Asgard."

With a flick of her wrist, Hela conjured a ball of dark green flame, throwing it forward. The flame exploded, opening a portal to the realm of the dead.

Before anything emerged, a bone-chilling wolf howl echoed through the battlefield. Everyone instinctively turned toward Hela.

A moment later, a colossal figure burst from the portal. Fenrir, Hela's giant wolf, charged forward, tearing the nearest monster to pieces with its massive jaws.

"Good boy! Crush them!" Hela shouted, watching Fenrir with a glint in her eye, as if she had returned to the battlefields of old.

The battlefield became even more chaotic, but Hela's focus remained solely on Gorr, the God Butcher.

Meanwhile, in a distant galaxy, a group of colossal gods clad in heavy armor turned their gaze toward the Nine Realms.

"The aura of a deceased first-generation god has surfaced. Find him and destroy all who dare pry into the secrets of the gods." commanded one of them.

At once, the gods scattered across the universe began traversing space, racing toward the Nine Realms.

The battle had reached its peak intensity. Zeus, who hadn't fought seriously in millennia, was being driven back by the enormous enemy before him. With his vast experience, he knew exactly what kind of opponent he was facing, and it dampened his desire to fight. His only thought now was to escape, the sooner and farther, the better.

"Damn it, the God Slayer actually dared to use the body of a god like this. This will bring great terror."

"No, I can't stay here any longer. Those beings will soon catch the scent and come here. Once they arrive, no one will escape."

Zeus, the once-mighty ruler of the gods, knew even in his prime, Odin wearing the Destroyer Armor—bolstered by the power of all gods—could only barely repel one of these beings. And they always appeared in groups. To them, gods were no more than larger insects.

Not to mention, even the creatures they created through genetic experiments were powerful enough to surpass ordinary gods.

"Hercules, stop wasting time with those monsters and come help me!" Zeus shouted desperately.

Hearing this, Hercules smashed the shadow monsters attacking him with his club, then leaped out of their siege. Seeing his father struggling against the attack of the mountainous giant, Hercules rushed forward, gripping his club tightly and smashing it against the giant's leg.

Boom!

The terrifying power sent the god-monster staggering back.

"Father, leave him to me. I'll take him down." Hercules declared, recalling the legendary twelve trials that had tested his strength. A surge of battle spirit ignited in him.

"No, Hercules! We need to leave now. Something far worse is coming. If we don't escape, we'll be buried here." Zeus warned. Though he loved his brave son, Hercules was still a tool for him—too valuable to be left to die.

"But Father, Odin is dead. Who could possibly threaten you now?" Hercules asked, confused by Zeus's fear.

"You don't understand, son. There are far more powerful beings hidden in the universe. Your world is too small. You can't see the full picture." Zeus explained, but his distraction left him vulnerable. The giant slammed into him, and his golden armor cracked under the blow.

Hercules roared in fury, drawing the golden bow from his back, pulling the string, and an arrow materialized in mid-air. It transformed into a massive lion, roaring as it shot toward the giant monster.

Taking this chance, Hercules hurried to Zeus's side and helped him up.

"Father, are you alright?"

"We have to go!" Zeus grasped Hercules's hand, and in a flash of golden lightning, they streaked across the sky, escaping.

The massive monster, now without a target, turned its attention to the gods still locked in battle on the other side of the field.

"Brother, these monsters won't stop. No matter how many we kill, more just take their place. This is pointless!" Loki, wearing the Destroyer Armor, called to Thor as he relentlessly smashed through the endless shadow monsters.

"Sister... Hela seems to have found the source behind this. I think the best option is to join her and stop the root cause." Loki suggested.

"I know, but she won't let us. That's her prey." Thor replied, keeping his focus on the battlefield. He had noticed Gorr from the beginning, but once Hela confronted him, Thor decided to leave it to her, trusting her strength.

As reckless as he could be, Thor understood Hela's ferocity. If they tried to interfere, she'd probably beat them senseless before they even got to Gorr.

Loki nodded, seeing the truth in his brother's words, and said no more.

...

"This is the star system where planet C-53 resides. We conducted genetic modification experiments here a million years ago."

A massive space wormhole opened, and from it emerged ten terrifying gods of varying forms. Their arrival sent a ripple through the battlefield.

Upon appearing, they immediately spotted the giant monster in the distance, polluted divinity emanating from it.

"Unforgivable. Anyone who dares tamper with the gods' secrets must be destroyed." Declared the God of Heaven, the chief judge.

Without hesitation, the Eradicator God stepped forward, preparing to unleash mass extinction.

In an instant, the battlefield fell silent. Every god, monster, and even Hela and Gorr stopped their fighting, turning their gaze toward the newly arrived gods. The oppressive aura they exuded was palpable, a weight on all who witnessed it.

Even Gorr, who had moments before been ready to fight, now shifted his focus, trying to escape into the shadow realm. However, to his shock, he found he couldn't connect to it.

"Interesting. So even these guys showed up." Luke, who had been watching from a distance, smiled to himself. At last, something worth his attention had appeared.

Without further hesitation, Luke teleported directly above the Eradicator God.

Boom!

Luke's foot slammed down with incredible force, interrupting the Eradicator's imminent attack.

The battlefield's eyes turned to him.

"I say, shouldn't you consult me before you start a mass extinction? After all, I'm in charge of this area." Luke remarked, his tone calm as he sat down casually.

Bang!

The Eradicator God swung his massive hand at Luke, but the attack had no effect. Luke disappeared and reappeared in front of him, landing a devastating kick that sent the god flying backward.

Luke's audacity was a direct challenge to the god group, an insult they hadn't experienced in eons.

"You, a newborn cosmic god, have committed an unforgivable sin. You will be destroyed along with this galaxy." Declared the chief judge.

Without another word, the remaining gods unleashed their fury upon Luke, their wrath now fully focused on him.
