X-MEN- CH-61. I will steal a ship
Added 2024-10-13 02:10:07 +0000 UTC"Oh... I was worried that he would wake up and afraid that you didn't have food for him, so I brought him back. But he didn't wake up."
"Yes, I understand."
Raven kept looking at the aliens around her and noticed the diversity among them. The looks they gave her no longer held any strangeness or disgust, but rather something else… You know, predators often roam outside for long periods without seeing women. Besides, Raven's figure was quite explosive, and her blue skin appeared normal to these people.
Suddenly, "Bang..." Two large, almost drooling aliens staring at Raven were abruptly turned to dust. This shocking scene scared the rest of the onlookers, who quickly scattered and hid away.
Martin, hugging Raven protectively, said, "Let me introduce her to you. Her name is Raven, and she is my love." As he glanced around, everyone avoided Martin's gaze.
"You don't mind, do you?" Martin asked, looking at Yondu.
Yondu nodded, "No, the strong preying on the weak is normal. It's common sense for us not to provoke those stronger than us."
He wasn't curious about where Raven came from, as there were many blue-skinned races in the universe.
"That's good. I think we can set off now. If we stay too long and get noticed by the locals, it could cause trouble."
"Okay, I'll have someone arrange a room for you. The spaceship ride might get a bit bumpy during flight."
"If you don't mind, we'd prefer to sit in the cockpit. After all, it's a rare view of space." Martin said, pointing to two connected seats near the first officer's chair, which offered a clear view outside.
"No problem." Yondu replied, then turned to his men, "You two, move to the back."
"Yes, Captain." ×2
"Please sit down, and don't forget your seat belts." Yondu said with a smile, showing them how to fasten the straps.
"Thanks." Martin and Raven said as they followed his example. Once seated, they pressed the buttons beside them, and straps automatically fastened them in place.
"Alright, start the ship, we're leaving." Yondu shouted.
Yondu had already figured it out—so long as Martin didn't try to rob his ship or interfere with his business, having someone so strong onboard might not be a bad thing.
"Yes..." The ship vibrated slightly before it shot out of Earth's atmosphere at incredible speed, pushing everyone, including Martin, firmly back into their seats. The internal force field helped offset the ship's inertia.
"Thank you, dear." Raven smiled sweetly at Martin before turning to gaze out the window.
Yondu and his crew also glanced at Martin; none of them had the ability to generate a force field, so it had to be him. Raven's words confirmed their suspicions.
The ship quickly passed through Earth's atmosphere, emerging into space as its speed gradually slowed.
"Would you like to see your home planet?" Yondu asked, turning to the two of them.
"Yes, thank you." Martin replied.
The spacecraft glided in one direction, giving Martin and Raven a clear view of the Earth below. From this distance, it seemed small, while the moon emitted a faint white glow from the reflected sunlight.
"It's beautiful." Raven murmured.
"Yeah, the starry sky is beautiful too." Martin replied, though his eyes were fixed on Raven's happy expression. He had already been to space before, so the sight wasn't new to him.
After a while, Martin nodded to Yondu, who returned the gesture before accelerating the ship once more.
"When will we come back?" Raven asked, her gaze still on the Earth as it slowly disappeared from view.
"It won't be long. Don't worry, I'm here with you." Martin reassured her.
As the ship stabilized, Martin unbuckled his seat belt and pulled the suddenly melancholic Raven into his arms.
"We don't have a spaceship..." Raven sighed.
"Your husband will steal one for you." Martin teased.
"Pfft..." Raven laughed, but then noticed Yondu looking back at them.
Martin smiled and turned to Yondu, saying, "Don't worry, my friend, I have no ill intentions toward your ship."
"Okay... If you want one, I can take you to the trade market. They've got... you know, ships." Yondu offered.
"We'll see. In the meantime, do you mind if we stay with you for a while? In return, I can help keep you safe. And if there's any way to make some money, I'd be happy to assist. I don't have any usable currency in the universe." Martin added.
"Of course, I'd love that." Yondu responded with a grin. He wasn't about to turn down such a sweet deal. Martin had already boarded the ship, so it wasn't like Yondu could force him to leave. The best outcome was having Martin as a potential ally.
A while later, Yondu suddenly pointed ahead and said, "Look up there..."
Martin and Raven turned their gaze forward.
"Wow..." Raven gasped.
A massive spaceship, resembling an airship, hovered in space ahead. Some of the vessels were several kilometers long.
"Haha... You didn't think we did business with just this little ship, did you?" Yondu said proudly.
The smaller ship flew into the docking bay of the larger vessel and came to a stop.
"Welcome to my ship." Yondu announced as he disembarked first, his men following closely behind, one of them carrying the boy under his arm.
"Let's go." Martin said to Raven.
"Sure." she replied.
They stepped out and into a long corridor filled with all sorts of aliens.
"Captain, are these newcomers?" One of Yondu's crew members asked.
Before Yondu could answer, a tall, scruffy man with a fierce expression shouted excitedly, "A woman! The captain brought a woman, hahaha..."
Raven frowned.
The two crew members who had accompanied Martin quickly covered the man's mouth, "Shut up, Shockface..."
"What? I've been here for a long time..." Shockface complained.
Before he could finish, his entire body turned into a mist of blood.
"I hope you don't mind." Martin said, turning to Yondu.
Yondu took a deep breath and replied awkwardly, "Of course not. I promise no one will be rude to your woman again. But... please don't kill my men at will... I mean..."
Martin had already killed four of them by now.
"I understand, Yondu. As long as they don't provoke her, especially by being rude to her, I'll let it slide. They can offend me—I'm quite generous." Martin said.
Raven smiled at his words, though whether she was pleased with Martin's protective nature or remembering what he had done to Charles remained unclear.
