MCU- CH-163. Zeus, The God King

When the Ancient One saw that these cancerous beings were actually immortal, as they had claimed, she decided to trap them in the mirror dimension. Forming intricate hand seals, beams of light descended from the sky, binding every cancer patient in place.

Now, the Ancient One had to maintain the mirror dimension while figuring out a way to eliminate these monsters permanently. However, just as she was strategizing, a terrifying tentacle with vicious mouthparts stretched out from a narrow dimensional portal. With a single light blow, it shattered the mirror dimension she had constructed.

The cancerous beings were immediately freed.

Due to the mirror dimension's sudden destruction, the Ancient One was struck by a magical backlash, causing her to stumble, nearly falling to the ground. The tentacle, however, vanished as quickly as it appeared, as though it feared something. Despite its brief appearance, the Ancient One heard chaotic whispers and had to use her magic to shield her mind from their maddening effects.

At that moment, the cancerous beings swarmed around her, eager to consume her.

"Death, the Old Ones you banished from the material world seem to be attempting to return!" A voice echoed ominously, "And the creatures they created have also slipped free from the law of death. It seems your avatar in another universe has been compromised!"

This conversation unfolded between the great cosmic beings overseeing the cancerous universe's invasion on Earth. Infinity and Annihilation spoke with deep voices.

"Yes." Death responded calmly, "Those monsters used some forbidden method in another universe to destroy the laws of death by sacrificing one of my incarnations."

Death wasn't particularly concerned. After all, it was just a clone. In her eyes, these Old Ones were no more than pests. Although they had momentarily freed themselves from the rules of death, she could easily restore them. After all, death was the end of everything in the multiverse.

"But will you let them go unpunished for attacking the gods of creation?" Infinity pressed, knowing even death couldn't easily destroy the polyhedral monsters.

"Of course, I'll teach them a lesson." Death replied coldly, "But not now. That corrupted universe will soon be beyond repair. I'll see to it that they're exiled even further away."

For the moment, Death's attention wasn't focused on the cancerous invaders or their polyhedral masters. She was more interested in Luke and Thanos.

Meanwhile, the Ancient One, unable to fully recover from the magical backlash and the mental strain of fighting off the whispers, was on the verge of defeat. Just as she prepared for the worst, a figure she hadn't expected appeared.

Jean, with her fiery red hair, stepped out of a portal, her eyes glowing with the power of the Phoenix Force. Without hesitation, she unleashed her immense power, disintegrating the cancerous creatures down to their atomic structure.

Hulk, the only one with enough resilience to resist, roared and charged at Jean, fists clenched. But Jean, having experience with beings like Thanos, knew exactly how to deal with the Hulk. As Hulk leapt high into the air, Jean calmly traced a portal in front of him. Hulk fell through, only to reappear above, falling again, trapped in an endless loop.

"Master Ancient One, are you okay?" Jean asked, turning to support the weakened sorcerer.

"I'm fine." The Ancient One replied, "How did you get back to Earth? Isn't Luke still fighting Thanos?"

The Ancient One was surprised that Jean had arrived so quickly.

"Teacher and Thanos called a temporary truce. He asked me to return to Earth to assist you!" Jean explained.

The Ancient One nodded in understanding. However, as they spoke, the disintegrated cancerous beings slowly began to regenerate, their atomic structures reassembling.

Without the laws of death to bind them, these creatures couldn't be permanently destroyed by conventional means. The only way to truly end them would be by wielding the power of Death itself or using Omega rays, a power Luke had mastered. Only then could their existence be erased at the root.

"Jean, be careful. These beings are impossible to kill." The Ancient One warned as the cancer patients revived.

"If I can't kill them, then I'll leave them in a state of eternal destruction and rebirth!" Jean responded. An idea struck her: the sun.

The sun's scorching surface would be the perfect place to trap these regenerating monsters, its temperatures too intense for even their bodies to withstand.

Jean formed a magical hand seal, and countless clones appeared, each wielding magic chains. The chains swiftly wrapped around the recovering cancerous beings, binding them in place. Then, Jean opened a portal to the heart of the sun, and without hesitation, threw the cancerous creatures through it.

Hulk, still falling endlessly through her portals, was also sent through.

"Master Ancient One, it's over for now!" Jean said, a relieved smile on her face.

"Why did Thanos suddenly stop fighting with Luke?" the Ancient One asked, still puzzled. Thanos wasn't the type to stop until a decisive victory had been achieved.

"Because the teacher told him the secret he wanted to know most." Jean explained, "He left the Mind Stone behind and then walked away."

It turned out that after Luke and Thanos teamed up to kill Nidhogg, Luke decided that continuing the fight wasn't worthwhile. Instead, he struck a deal with Thanos, offering the secret in exchange for the Mind Stone. Luke wanted to expedite his quest to complete the Ragnarok mission.

But things hadn't gone as Luke had expected. Despite Thanos's departure, the mission remained incomplete. There was still much left to do.

As Luke pondered whether to unleash Surtur on Asgard to stir things up, a group of uninvited guests arrived.

Led by Zeus, the gods of various pantheons had gathered at the World Tree, each hoping to reap the benefits Odin had once claimed for himself.

The appearance of the World Tree caused many pantheons, which once depended on it, to reconsider their positions. Even those pantheons that had been forced to flee due to external pressures began to return. Heaven, the tenth world expelled by Odin, was now poised to make its return. The only reason these deities were returning was to gain benefits from the World Tree. Everyone knew that the World Tree was a treasure; even a small portion of its power was enough to bring endless benefits to the gods.

Odin was the prime example of this. What made him stronger than his father and grandfather was the gift he received from the World Tree, which helped the Aesir establish their fearsome reputation through endless bloodshed. When Odin died, many were glad, but none dared to act against Asgard, knowing the depth of its heritage.

However, with the reappearance of the World Tree, these pantheons saw an opportunity—one that might allow them to be on par with, or even surpass, the once-mighty Odin. A great war among the gods was on the horizon.

"Thor, your Asgard has monopolized the blessings of the World Tree for tens of thousands of years!" Zeus declared. Dressed in rare golden armor, he held a golden lightning bolt in hand, "Now it's time to share this gift with all the gods of the pantheons!"

Zeus had long dreamed of replacing Odin and becoming the uncrowned king of all the gods. Unfortunately for him, while Zeus was the undisputed king within his own pantheon, his power was still far inferior to Odin's. When Odin was alive, Zeus dared not cause trouble. Instead, he had formed the Pantheon—a coalition of gods from various pantheons who had also been intimidated by Odin—and appointed himself its leader. This title satisfied his vanity, but his true ambition was to become the next Odin.

"The World Tree is here now. If you want to gain its blessing, go find it yourself! I have no interest in these matters." Thor responded, showing little concern for the World Tree's power. His only priority was to protect his people.

Zeus' face darkened at Thor's dismissive tone. After years of commanding the gods, no one had dared to defy him. Now, Thor's words damaged his prestige.

"Thor, I've heard that you're destined to surpass your father and become the greatest God King in Asgard's history. My son, Hercules, wishes to challenge you." Zeus motioned, and a towering figure stepped forward. Hercules, nearly two meters tall, wielding both a hammer and club, and with a golden bow slung across his back, strode forward with fierce determination.

Zeus had already instructed Hercules that Thor must die. This was the first step in dismantling Asgard's dominance. Hercules looked at Thor with a burning fighting spirit. As Zeus' most powerful son, his strength rivaled even that of his father.

Thor, still recovering from injuries sustained during the battle between Luke and Thanos, felt the weight of the moment. Though his wounds weren't visibly severe, they still affected his combat readiness. He knew Zeus was scheming, but as Asgard's God King, retreat was not an option. His duty was to defend Asgard's honor.

"Brother, don't fall for that old man's trap!" Loki, who had been observing, warned Thor.

"Loki, there's no other choice. Zeus' aim is Asgard, and the only way to counter it is to face him head-on." Thor replied.

"Brother, let me fight! With the Eternal Spear, I can summon the Destroyer Armor. I may not be able to wield its full power, but I won't lose to him." Loki offered.

"No, I'm Thor, God of Thunder. Watch closely!" Thor said proudly, raising Stormbreaker. Loki remained silent but shot his brother a look of concern.

Hercules, for his part, held no personal animosity toward Thor. In fact, he admired him. But his father's orders left him no choice but to fight. He had already resolved not to kill Thor, no matter the outcome.

And so, the two warriors representing their respective pantheons engaged in battle. Hercules, as the God of War, wielded terrifying strength. But Thor was no slouch either. His thunderous power had grown immensely, and he had absorbed much of Odin's strength. Though still recovering, Thor's power was not to be underestimated.

The clash of these two titans shook the very fabric of the realms.
