MCU- CH-160. Ragnarok is starting

"You want to know? I can tell you, but what are you going to give in exchange?" Upon hearing Luke say this, Thanos became furious and prepared to subdue Luke first, then slowly force him to reveal everything he wanted to know.

Thanos' body moved suddenly and instantly disappeared from everyone's sight, and the same happened to Luke.

The next moment, a horrifying shockwave erupted, spreading from Asgard to the Nine Realms and even further into the distant universe. Thor and the others were caught off guard, immediately feeling a sharp pain in their internal organs as they fell to their knees in agony. They had to muster all their strength just to resist the continuous aftermath of the attack.

Desperately, they tried to locate the figures of Thanos and Luke, but even when they opened their eyes wide and focused all their energy, they couldn't see the two combatants.

At that moment, a dark green portal suddenly opened, and Hela stepped out. Before she could ask her two foolish brothers what had happened in Asgard, she too was affected by the shockwave.

Although Hela's strength was much greater than Thor's and the others, she was still shocked and groaned in pain, quickly raising her defences to protect herself.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The sounds of destruction echoed across Asgard, causing both Asgard and the Nine Realms to begin trembling.

However, the current battle between Luke and Thanos was not even a warm-up for the two titans.

Thor, however, wasn't concerned with how Luke's battle would end; he had to save his people first. He had a strong premonition that Ragnarok, the great disaster his father had feared, might come to Asgard today in a different form. Now, his priority was to evacuate all the people of Asgard. Loki followed him, equally determined to protect their realm.

The battle between Luke and Thanos began in Asgard. Thanos didn't use all his strength at first. After all, he wanted information from Luke, not to destroy him immediately—he only intended to capture him. However, as the battle unfolded, Thanos realized he had greatly underestimated Luke's combat abilities.

As the fight continued, the power released by the two of them gradually intensified.

Crack!

After another terrifying clash, a massive energy surge swept across the entire Nine Realms. Just as the Nine Realms were beginning to crumble under the impact of this energy wave, the shadow of a giant tree, appearing to pierce through the universe, materialized and slowly condensed into a solid form.

An ancient and mysterious atmosphere filled the air, with endless divine power flowing through the branches of the tree—each branch seemingly capable of supporting an entire world. As the branches shook, the turbulent Nine Realms gradually returned to peace.

This was the mysterious and ancient World Tree, whose legends spanned countless worlds throughout the multiverse. Its existence was even older than the ancient gods of Earth's earliest eras. Over time, as the great wars among gods transpired, the uniqueness of the World Tree began to diminish, especially after the first and second generations of gods. The concept of the World Tree then replicated throughout the multiverse, appearing in countless parallel universes.

Although it had lost its uniqueness, the World Tree still possessed immense power.

Seeing this scene, both Thanos and Luke paused their battle.

"Is this the World Tree that these Asgardians keep talking about?" Thanos mused, sensing a divine power from the tree no weaker than his own.

"A World Tree that supports the Nine Realms... truly living up to its reputation. It would be a shame if this sacred tree is really destined to be destroyed." Luke remarked, also gazing in awe at the sudden appearance of the tree.

"Roar!"

However, at that moment, a shocking roar erupted from the bottomless abyss beneath the World Tree. Luke immediately recognized the sound—it was the roar of a dragon. In an instant, he thought of the world-destroying black dragon, Nidhogg. He was sure it was him, as Nidhogg was the only one at the roots of the World Tree.

[Ding! Big event - Ragnarok has begun. The treasure chest is continuously charging.]

Suddenly, Luke's system, which had been dormant, issued a prompt in his mind.

"A new event, Ragnarok... I didn't expect that even after altering Thor's fate, Ragnarok is still unavoidable." Luke thought, "Perhaps this is the inevitable destiny of Asgard."

Luke was no stranger to Ragnarok, the final prophecy of Asgard's destruction.

As Luke and Thanos temporarily halted their battle due to the appearance of the World Tree, an unimaginably massive black shadow flew up from beneath its roots. A terrifying aura of darkness, malevolence, and chaos enveloped the area, as if it contained all the negative aspects of the universe.

It was a colossal black dragon with a dark, ferocious appearance. Its massive wings, shrouded in vengeful spirits, stretched out, covering the sky. A swarm of enormous, venomous snakes followed behind it.

"The destruction of the World Tree is upon us. Ragnarok is today. From now on, I—Nidhogg—shall reign over everything!" Nidhogg declared triumphantly, feeling that his centuries-old dream was about to come true.

For countless years, he had gnawed at the roots of the World Tree, biding his time for this moment. Now, the end was finally near.

Suddenly, Nidhogg turned his gaze toward Luke, confusion evident on his face. He sensed an aura similar to his own coming from Luke, but upon closer inspection, he realized Luke's bloodline was somewhat different.

"It was your battle that forced the World Tree to appear, wasn't it? It seems I should thank you two for allowing me to trigger Ragnarok earlier than expected." Nidhogg sneered. Then, eyeing Luke, he asked, "Are you a descendant of my dragon clan?"

As a being destined to destroy worlds, the arrogant Nidhogg wasn't too concerned about the power of either Luke or Thanos. However, he couldn't help but feel a certain interest in Luke's identity.

Luke also examined Nidhogg closely, noticing a faint resemblance between them. He could feel a trace of a blood connection with the black dragon. It seemed this divine body of his had some unclear relationship with Nidhogg.

But Luke had no intention of acknowledging any family ties. Instead, an instinct from his blood urged him to kill the black dragon in front of him and become a singular, unrivaled existence.

"It seems this world doesn't need another black dragon. Nidhogg, it's time for you to die." Luke declared coldly.

As soon as the words left his mouth, Luke's form began to shift, and in an instant, he transformed into a massive black dragon, even larger than Nidhogg. Boundless power radiated from his new form.

"How dare you! You dare speak to me, the origin of the dragon race, with such disrespect? I will devour you!" Nidhogg roared in fury, his massive wings flapping as he prepared to teach Luke a deadly lesson.

"What do you take me for?"

Before Nidhogg could make his move, Thanos struck first! It was clear that Luke was Thanos' prey, and their battle was far from over. Thanos wasn't about to let Luke switch opponents without finishing what they had started.
