X-MEN- CH-54. Stryker is dead

After sending Eric and several of his powerful people to Emma, Martin returned to X Academy. Restoration is already underway here; the castle has been completed and is being finalized. Looking at the people flying up and down, Martin understood the reason. It seemed that being a construction worker was a very good career for mutants.

He found Charles and informed him of the situation, and Charles agreed immediately. Charles' subordinates were still the same, but Storm, who was seen last time, had joined his side. If the other party also joined Eric, then the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse would be gathered.

Scott replaced his brother as Charles' assistant and brought this group of people to Emma's territory. Thanks to his super recovery ability, Victor had regained consciousness and seemed to have been persuaded by Eric to stand by him. Yes, they both believed in strength, so it was natural for them to get along. Magneto had his own personal charm, and Victor just needed something to do—of course, it had to be something he liked.

Charles and Eric met and had another verbal battle. Martin and Emma, who were watching the show, were suddenly interrupted by Logan. Logan said impatiently, "Should we start doing something, or let them continue to quarrel?"

"Not at all." Martin looked at Kayla, shrugged at Emma, and then said to both parties, "Okay, we should get going."

After hearing this, Charles and Eric stopped arguing and looked at Martin. After saying goodbye to Emma, Martin teleported everyone to Stryker's base. They emerged into a corridor, alarms already blaring all around them.

Martin pointed to the right, "Keep going over there; that's where the mutants are imprisoned." Then he looked at Logan and continued, "You guys go ahead. Logan and I have something to do."

Logan understood what Martin meant, so he comforted Kayla and asked her to follow Eric and the others to save her sister. After they left, gunshots and screams were heard from the corner of the corridor. After easily dealing with a few enemies coming from the other side, Martin put his hand on Logan's shoulder and took him into a room.

This appeared to be an operating room. A man lay on the operating table in the middle, his body covered with marks of surgery and his mouth sewn shut. Across from him, Stryker stood behind a young man in a wheelchair. Several people in white coats, probably researchers, stood to one side. This man was Stryker's son and had the ability to create illusions.

"If you had come a few days later, I would have succeeded." Stryker said regretfully, "But it doesn't matter; I'm still the winner." After saying that, Stryker bent down and whispered something in his son's ear. Suddenly, the scene in front of Martin changed. He was at home, with the bodies of Raven, Emma, and others lying around him. The murderer was an unknown person who stood behind him and stabbed him with a dagger.

Thanks to his powerful mental strength, Martin instantly realized that it was all fake. But Logan, behind him, didn't think so. Because what he saw was Victor killing Kayla, and the other person was standing in front of him. Stryker's son's abilities were truly amazing. After entering the illusion he created, ordinary people would not be able to detect it at all and would only believe that what they saw was real. Martin had the ability to control energy, and after having this ability strengthened by Apocalypse, he also had the power to create illusions. Nature had the ability to dispel illusions.

After controlling Logan, he used his ability to break the illusion, but Logan was still trapped in it. He sent energy into Logan's mind to help him escape the illusion. Logan looked at the changed scene in confusion.

"It's an illusion, his ability." Martin pointed at the young man in the wheelchair.

Logan rushed toward Stryker angrily. Stryker was just an ordinary person and had no power to resist Logan. While controlling Stryker's son, Martin read Stryker's memory. After confirming that he was not a clone, he watched as Logan's bone claws pierced into Stryker's heart, and then he died. The researchers hid far away in fear.

After Logan was sure that Stryker was killed, he stood up and complained, "It's so damn easy..."

"Hehe... This is his territory; the security guards are all outside." Suddenly, a beautiful woman in a black combat uniform rushed out from the side and pounced on Logan, who had his back turned to her. Her ability was very similar to Emma's current ability. Long metal spikes extended from her ten fingers, and the material was the same as the liquid metal stored in the small pool on the side.

"Uh…" Logan was unable to dodge and was stabbed in the back by the opponent with a metal spike, who then immediately counterattacked. While the two were fighting, Martin approached Jason Stryker, who was sitting in a wheelchair, and entered his brain. Martin found that this was just a tool without consciousness—not much better than a vegetable.

[Replicable ability: Illusion]

After obtaining this ability, Martin released energy and directly turned the opponent into ashes. This ability to control others is the most terrifying. It is better to destroy him, lest one day his ability be used on his family. To be on the safe side, in case someone tampered with Stryker's cells, Martin then reduced Stryker's own body to ashes. When killing someone, it is best to do it cleanly and leave nothing behind. Because in this complex world, you never know what the enemy will do next.

Nothing was done to these researchers; they were still useful. Originally, Martin wanted to help Logan transform his arm himself, but now there were more professional people here.

"F*CK, Martin, help!" Logan shouted angrily. Although this woman was small, she was very strong. She had the same recovery ability as Logan, and because her bones were all made of adamantium, Logan couldn't do anything to her.

Feeling carefully, her nails were not in the palm of her hand like Logan's. It was her ability; her nails had the ability to stretch. Like all human beings, nails grow. This reminded Martin of something—a sentinel.

She was indeed the work of Stryker's friend, Trask. Trask got Raven's cells through some unknown means, and after several years of research, he combined them with adamantium to create an adamantium product with new properties.
