MCU- CH-155. Multiple Gods and Destroyers

"Teacher, is everything settled?" Jean asked as she returned after helping Mantis, her gaze sweeping over the now-quiet planet. She looked to Luke for reassurance.

"Of course, he was just a second-rate character. Easy for me to deal with." Luke replied confidently, "From now on, this planet will be officially renamed Apokolips! It will become my kingdom of God, accompanying me as I explore the infinite multiverse and beyond."

Luke's eyes gleamed with ambition as he spoke, his spirit high.

"Teacher, I will continue to work hard to control my power. I hope to always be by your side in the future." Jean said with determination, her expression serious.

Luke nodded, but with a warning, "Then you have to be mentally prepared. The enemies I will face in the future will be far stronger than any we've encountered before."

Jean, however, was undeterred, "Teacher, no matter the enemy, I will not be afraid. From now on, I will double my efforts to communicate with the Phoenix Force. One day, I will summon the Phoenix Force in its entirety from across the multiverse."

As she spoke, a flash of fiery determination flickered in Jean's eyes, manifesting as a faint image of a phoenix.

Hearing this, Luke didn't express any doubt. He knew Jean was the Phoenix Force's favored host, and given that he'd changed her original destiny, it wasn't impossible for her to one day become the true master of the Phoenix.

"I believe in you, Jean. You have great potential." Luke encouraged, fully supporting her ambitions.

"Teacher, what will you do with this planet now? Are you just going to leave it here?" Jean asked as she looked at the massive planet beneath them.

"That's simple. I'll put it away!" Luke stretched out his right hand, and the Infinity Gauntlet appeared instantly. A flash of blue light emanated from the Space Stone.

In a moment, invisible spatial fluctuations spread out, and a massive portal enveloped the entire Apokolips planet. Luke had created an independent space and temporarily stored Apokolips within it. Once the central energy battery built by Eitri was complete, that would be the time for Apokolips and Green Lantern energy to make their official debut in this universe.

With the matter of Ego settled, Luke prepared to head to Xandar with Jean. Xandar, one of the most tolerant planets in the galaxy, was home to various alien races and one of the few truly harmonious places in the Marvel Universe. After exposing Jean to the darker sides of the universe, Luke decided it was time for her to experience its rare beauty.

Inside the God's Quarry, more than a month had passed since Thanos had been tested.

"Oh! Maybe we were wrong!"

"Even this Titan couldn't resist the dreams woven by the Undying Wall."

"Are we really going to be trapped in this unchanging hell forever?"

The three Infinite Witch sisters stood around Thanos, now a silent stone statue, their voices tinged with frustration and despair. Despite their immense power, rivaling even the five great cosmic gods, they were bound by the rules of this place. If no one could pass the test of the Immortal Wall, they would never be free.

Immortality and great power might seem like eternal pursuits to some, but for the sisters, it had become a cruel imprisonment. Trapped for more than two billion years, they had witnessed countless gods' remains, their scattered divine powers, and the ever-growing number of stone statues on the Immortal Wall.

When Thanos arrived, the sisters believed he was their chance at freedom. But now, they weren't so sure.

Was this truly how things would end?

While the witches despaired, Thanos was experiencing something far different.

In his trial, he sat on Titan, adorned in golden armor, atop a massive throne crafted from the head of the Devourer of Worlds. Above him, a blazing phoenix burned eternally, lighting the sky. Surrounding him were sharp stone pillars, each impaling the corpse of a god, demon, or powerful life form from across the universe.

Each body was a testament to Thanos' domination over the universe.

Beneath his throne, a black dragon lay bound by glowing green chains, its limbs and wings pierced. The dragon was none other than Luke.

"All who dared defy me have died by my hand. I have purged the universe of all life, yet… why can't I hear the voice of the universe anymore?" Thanos murmured, sitting on his throne with a melancholic expression.

Once, a voice had told him that he was the chosen one of the universe. In pursuit of eternal balance, Thanos had grown even more extreme, destroying all life in the universe. Countless gods and demons had tried to oppose him, but all were easily defeated. Their bodies now stood as trophies on Titan.

With no more opposition in his path, Thanos had achieved his ideal of a universe purged of life.

But instead of satisfaction, he found only silence.

However, after all of this, Thanos felt an overwhelming emptiness. The process had been too smooth, almost unreal.

"Does what I'm doing even make sense?" he muttered, gazing at the countless enemies he had slain. Doubt crept into his mind, questioning whether all his efforts held any true meaning.

"Thanos! I am very pleased with what you have done."

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed, the one he had longed to hear again—the voice of the universe. Relief washed over him, only for it to be quickly replaced by surprise as a figure in a black cloak appeared in front of him.

When Thanos looked beneath the cloak and saw the woman's face, his heart pounded violently, an unfamiliar sensation overtaking him.

"Who are you?" Thanos asked coldly, trying to suppress the strange emotions swirling inside him.

"I am Death, the final destination for all things in the universe." She whispered as she approached, her voice soft but chilling.

Thanos stared, shocked, "Aren't you the Voice of the Universe?" He questioned, realizing he'd been deceived all along, caught in a web of lies.

"It doesn't matter." Death replied, a sly smile on her lips, "Now, there are only you and me in this universe. I love the gift you've given me, Thanos. And for that, you shall have my love. From this moment on, we will be together forever."

As she leaned in to kiss him, Thanos' mind sharpened. He suddenly stood, grabbing Death's skull with his massive hand.

"Hahaha! So, this is your so-called test?" He laughed, his voice booming, "Who do you think I am? I am Thanos!"

In an instant, his memories of the test came flooding back. He twisted Death's skull off with ease.

The illusion shattered in that moment, and the entire quarry erupted in unprecedented chaos. Energy rippled across the landscape, and the Immortal Wall trembled violently. Thanos broke free from his stone statue state, divine power surging through his veins as the multidimensional shackles binding him collapsed.

"I'm back!" Thanos declared, his voice filled with the power of his reawakened might.
