A few days passed quickly, and today was the day that Congress would hold a special hearing for Tony in Washington. A few minutes before the hearing was to begin, the seats in the venue were already full of people from all walks of life and news media who came to attend the hearing. There were even not enough seats because there were so many people, so there was a row of people standing at the back of the venue.

The congressman sitting at the top looked at the watch on his wrist, and when he found that the time was almost up, he turned on the microphone in front of him to quiet down the noisy meeting room.

"Alright! Please be quiet, everyone! The hearing on Tony Stark's Iron Man Armor will officially begin!" After hearing the congressman's words, the originally noisy meeting room suddenly became quiet. Everyone turned their eyes to the protagonist of this hearing, Tony Stark, who was sitting in the first row with a relaxed look on his face.

Although he heard what the congressman said, Tony still turned sideways and chatted with Pepper, who was sitting not far behind him, about what he planned to eat for lunch today. It was as if this hearing was not held for him and Tony was just an audience member. The congressman's face suddenly darkened when he saw Tony like this. He suppressed his anger and slammed the table hard.

"Mr. Stark, the hearing has begun. Please respect the rules of the venue and be quiet!" After hearing what the congressman said, Tony stopped talking to Pepper about his lunch. But it was not because Tony respected the congressman, but because the two of them had already finished chatting and decided on lunch.

After turning his head, Tony looked at the congressman on the stage and said nonchalantly, "Sorry, I rushed to Washington early in the morning, so..."

"Okay! Mr. Stark, I don't want to know what you were doing just now. I just want to tell you that the hearing has officially begun!" Before Tony could finish his words, he was interrupted by the impatient congressman on the stage. You have to know that this was being broadcast live to the whole world.

Tony's behavior will completely destroy the government's majesty in the eyes of the people. Then he looked at Tony seriously and got to the point, "Mr. Stark, do you have a special weapon?"

Tony looked at the congressman on the stage, stared into his eyes without any fear and said, "I'm sorry, Stark Group has stopped making weapons since I came back from Afghanistan. If you mean Iron Man is considered a weapon, then my invention does not count?"

"So how would you describe it?"

Tony thought for a moment and said in a joking tone, "A high-tech prosthesis? That's the best word I can think of."

After hearing what Tony said, everyone present couldn't help but laugh out loud even though they knew it was a very serious situation. The congressman's face darkened when he heard the laughter. He slammed the table hard and said, "Quiet! Everyone, be quiet!"

After calming down, the congressman looked at Tony and said seriously, "No, Mr. Stark! It's a weapon! A high-tech weapon! And it has seriously threatened the security of the United States!" After the speech fell, the congressman looked at Rhodes, who was also sitting in the first row and was a representative of the military, and said, "Lieutenant Colonel, please show those pictures to the public!"

As a military representative, Rhodes certainly knew what picture the congressman was talking about. If the picture was really shown, it would have a huge negative impact on Stark Group and Tony. Although he was a military representative, he was also Tony's good friend. Rhodes did not show the picture as the congressman requested, but instead tried to plead for Tony.

"Mr. Congressman, I don't think it's the best time to show these pictures to the public..."

The congressman interrupted Rhodes with his hand and said with a faint smile, "Lieutenant Colonel, I understand your concerns, but I think now is the best time. I would like to trouble you to explain it to everyone present. Thank you very much!"

Rhodes knew that his military rank was still too low and he could not help Tony at all in this hearing. He could only become a pawn at the mercy of others.

As soon as the words fell, a blurry satellite image immediately appeared on the screen in front of everyone. Looking at the satellite image in front of him, Rhodes could only explain as required. "Intelligence shows that the equipment in the picture is a copy of Mr. Stark's Iron Man suit by terrorists. According to the intelligence of the allies, these suits are likely to have been put into use..." Tony didn't care at all as Rhodes told him the information that was unfavorable to him.

Because Tony knew in his heart that it would be impossible for anyone to build his suit without more than ten years, this was his confidence. If they wanted to use this information to force him to hand over the Iron Man suit, then Tony could only say that they were too naive.

After a while, Rhodes finished reading the manuscript given to him by the military and looked at Tony apologetically. After Rhodes finished speaking, the congressman looked at Tony with a smile on his face. He wanted to see what Tony could do now.

"Mr. Stark, I believe you have already seen this. For the safety of the American people, please hand over the technology of the Iron Man suit!" This move was quite vicious. It directly stands from the perspective of the United States and the people, and uses the righteousness to make Tony hand over the Iron Man suit.

If Tony didn't answer well or refused directly.
Even if Tony has the Stark Group behind him and has many people who love and support him, Tony's image in the United States will plummet in the future, and public pressure will follow. By then, even if Tony didn't want to hand over the Iron Man suit, it would be impossible.

Tony looked at the congressman and was not at all flustered in the face of this conspiracy. He directly seized the loophole and said, "I'm sorry, I strongly doubt the authenticity of your photo. Ima terrorists can build an iron man suit, then why can't you build one? Are we taxpayers just supporting a bunch of idiots? " After he finished speaking, Tony showed a smug smile and looked at the congressman on the stage. Now the one in trouble was not him, but the congressman.

After hearing what Tony said, the people who were originally misled also began to think. If you think about what Tony said, it makes sense. If the terrorists can make an iron man suit with their simple equipment, then why can't one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world make one? Was this fake information, or were the taxes they pay supporting a bunch of losers?
