Heyo!
Yeah, I dunno, there's a lot of sand in that picture so the title kind of wrote itself. This was from a scrapped attempt at doing another main menu. There was probably a way to make this scene look decent with some lighting/effects/stuff, but I wasn't feeling it. The sand is just a boring backdrop to have. It's also rough, and course, and...
Episode 3 has dropped, and I hope you all enjoyed it. Or will enjoy it if you haven't had the time to play it yet. There was originally going to be one more scene, but I think the episode ended at a better point this way. Much more dramatic to end on a cool scene than some random talky scene that I was going to have after.
Overall, I'm happy with the episode. I think the renders and animations look a lot better than they did compared to the first episode. I do think there's work to do on the actual plot of the game, it feels quite thin currently. That's something I want to address as I write the script for Episode 4.
Not entirely sure how I will do that, or what exactly I will do, or where the plot is meandering. I do have an idea of what the ending(s) look like, so there is a goal line. The path to get there, however, is unclear and riddled with danger. Ah, well. It'll work out, I'm sure.
I'll be putting out a poll, probably tomorrow. You'll be able to vote for which character you want to get a bigger scene with Ruru at the end of Episode 4. Basically where the McXRuru scenes have been in previous episodes. I have a guess on who's going to win, but I shall leave it up to you, The Senate of Pointy Ears.
That's all I have today. Next week I'll make sure to get a nice festive little picture, instead of this sandy abomination.
Thank you so much for your support, and I wish you a lovely week.
