Demons swarmed like the tide, but they broke against her flames. Her fire became countless blades, slicing, piercing, and incinerating until the road was paved with a gory, emerald-green carpet of their remains.

When Nana crushed the skull of the last Blue Oni with her bare hand, the onslaught finally halted.

The surviving demons froze. Their roars died in their throats, becoming terrified gasps. They stared at the woman standing atop the mountain of corpses—bathed in blood, her calm eyes burning with a deep worry for her daughter and a simmering rage.

The fodder demons began to break and flee. But then, a figure who had been watching coldly from the sidelines stepped forward to block Nana's path. The demon leader, the architect of this ambush, was now poised to strike against her, having already expended a portion of her power.
