If you study the history of your country you may realize that your people's lives today are really pretty good.

There are quite a few movies referenced over these two episodes.
Peter mentions ROADHOUSE and FACE OFF.
Roadhouse stars Patrick Swayze who was a big star in the 80's. Along with Roadhouse, POINT BREAK is another huge film that he was in with Keanu Reeves.
FACE OFF stars NIcholas Cage and John Travolta. It's famous because the premise of that movie is so crazy. Nicholas Cage was most famous in the late 90's, early 2000's, for movies like Face Off, The Rock 1996, Con Air 1997, National Treasure 2004. I think he won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas (1995). Recently, Nic Cage has sort of reinvented himself and has become known for giving over-the-top performances in smaller, independent films. MANDY, a psychedelic horror movie. While I REALLY like this movie, it is not for everyone, but PIG is a really good movie, and Nic Cage also has a significant role in LONG LEGS 2024 which was a pretty big hit as far as horror movies go.
When the mechanical owl comes to dinner, that was referencing the movie CLASH OF THE TITANS 1981, that movie is about Greek Gods but before there was CGI so the creatures are stop-motion which is neat to watch.

Definitely had a real fun time with this reaction, especially knowing you'd remember your very first compilation of Family Guy scenes.
What a fascinating experience an episode of Family Guy with two reactors from the other side of the world can give. I'm a few years older than you two but it's surprising to see you have such a similar experience.
Just as you two said, you can have huge appreciation for what your parent(s) could provide with all their hard work, but also curse the current system that has made all that unattainable and extremely hard to repeat. One money-earner with three children (and even a dog that is getting more expensive to keep) affording all sorts of cartoon exaggerated fun.
I don't mean to be a buzz kill but these were both thought provoking and hilarious commentaries on Family Guy.
Also (no rush as you mentioned wanting to see if/how Family Guy does Game of Thrones) I will still recommend It's "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as the next hilarious show!

Finally Tien's Adam WEEEE again.🙂
I had to laugh so much when you both said "That's No your shirt" in sync.😅
I miss my childhood sometimes too. But on the other hand, you tend to see everything through rose-colored glasses. As a child, there are so many rules, nobody takes you seriously, and there was a lot of pressure to do well in school. So, for the most part, I'm cool with being an adult.
One thing I definitely agree with is to say thanks to my parents. Even though I wasn't always easy, they did a good job raising me.
The scene where Adam We goes into the cornfield is a reference to the 1984 horror movie Children of the Corn, which is based on a story by Stephen King, definitely worth a reaction.😉
As always, that was a hilarious reaction, Angels.💜

Family Guy day! So funny to see Washee Washee back. I love that original Family Guy compilation video you two did back in the day. Also Lan was almost right on the beacons being lit. It wasn't GOT or Hobbit, It was Lord of the Rings. "Gondor calls for aid." "And Rohan shall answer" 😁
And I agree about the kids and adult discussion. I remember loving summer time as a kid. We would run around all day having fun. Now summer is just too damn hot and miserable. Lol.
