Some orcs renders

Dear generals,

Here are a few renders from my latest exercises with the orcs, along with some updates regarding the future of the comics.

The stories I wanted to tell are coming to an end soon: the main chapters will likely stop at chapter 4, as I don’t see what more I could explore once all the characters are “corrupted” (as you might have guessed, that’s going to happen!), and I fear I’ll end up going in circles. Even though there’s no shortage of scenario ideas (thank you to everyone who shared theirs and helped shape the comics in their own way), the outcome would remain the same.

That’s why I’d like to open a new chapter with the orcs, which I hope will bring some freshness and allow us to explore a more cruel and brutal world.

I’m currently preparing a first short story around this new trope. We’ll likely explore Arvagne, since Hépitar is inspired by the Roman Empire and I lack the assets to develop that kingdom further.

I still need a bit of time to prepare everything, which is why the next short story will be a new tale about transformation into a sow, hoping not to repeat the same mistakes I made with the Crossroad bonus that disappointed some of you. This one will be much shorter, around 70 pages.

Feel free to share your thoughts on this update, the 3D renders, or send me any comments or questions, I’ll be happy to respond :)

Thanks again to all of you for your support, and see you very soon!

Hello Excalibur! Thank you so much for this comment, it’s really interesting, and since you took the time to write it, I’ll take the time to reply. Indeed, transformations are the reason I started these comics. I couldn’t find anything similar or as in-depth, so I decided to create my own :) I think this ties into the idea that my transformations might go a bit too far, distorting the ‘beauty’ of the original models. In the early stages, the model is still attractive and recognizable, but the further it goes, the less it is. That’s why I like the idea of slowing down the beginning to have a final reveal at the maximum. I understand, thank you for giving me elements to work on beyond weight gain :). That’s a good direction for the future. Yes, that’s the plan! I’d like to wrap up the main chapters and move on to stories with the orcs, though I don’t know yet if I’ll make chapters or standalone stories… I have quite a few ideas, and still time to let them mature ;) Thanks again for your feedback, I look forward to reading you again!

Thanks for the update! Bit of late feedback, I forgot to hit “send” when I first wrote it, ahahah. Personally, I think the strongest aspect of your work lies in the transformative parts, especially in the early phases, usually the first 2-3 waves of changes. They really sell the whole idea of struggling with corruption and identity, and it really feels as the time when the characters are most interesting. Having a character that faces early changes and then “endures” them for a long time and thus faces a less quick “transformative spiral” would be pretty cool! Would feel much more cathartic when they finally fall! What I’m a bit less fond of is how, over time, the character transformative designs seem to converge towards a “bigger boobs, curvier” standard: it slightly reduces that initial sense of variety between characters, which I think is another really strong point of your work. It feels like they all start different, but all converge towards the same body archetype, with slight variations. But of course, that’s just personal taste! After all, I’ve never been a big fan of the “final” sow designs to begin with, ahahah. I’d love to see pig transformations on lithe bodies that stay relatively slender throughout, and in general more variety in the “transformative paths”: ears and noses are a given, but also having tusks and multiple breasts more common early depending on the character. Still a big tail supporter, but I am well aware of the technical difficulties it would entail to implement it early. The orc renders are solid! They really convey the brutality of their culture! And I completely agree with your take on not milking established characters forever once their stories are over. So, broadly speaking, your current plan is to take the established main cast up to chapter 4 with a boarmen and bullmen focus, and then switch settings to the orcs? Sorry for the lengthy feedback! As always, thanks for all your work and your time!

Hey Boothill, thank you so much for sharing your opinion, especially if it's not something you usually do. It's always hard for me to know how my comics are received, so comments like yours are helpful. First, just to clarify: updates for the short stories come out every two weeks on Thursdays. Sometimes I'm a bit late, and I apologize for that, but the rhythm continues! I'm really glad you enjoyed the story (which is nearing its end). I know it's impossible to satisfy everyone all the time, and that's why I'm experimenting things. Personally, I think I may have gone a bit too far with Adelya's transformation, but I'm truly grateful the comic is still being appreciated :)

Wow, I don't usually comment or complain, but I like Crossroads Bonus, I am waiting for Hundgren to come riding to the rescue, or her husband come back and attempt to get her back by becoming a boarman or whatever he has to do. My only complaint is that Bonus use to come out at the same time as your other story Magic, then it was a couple of days behind, this week even more so. I would like to see how she has adapted to her new circumstances, I guess I'm just old, I like to see stories where at the end unless you are writing a sequel, the stories are all told and the good guys have won.
