Since I'm writing Galaxy Days, and there's going to be a point where Dib finds out more about what happened to Zim, and he might actually be honest about it, I wanted to show a bit of the state he was in and the events that took place that drew him and Dib closer.
poor bug is traumatized and not coping so well, and Dib feels oddly empathetic
