In earlier posts we mentioned the new gloor scene a couple of times. Remember the tentacles? That sequence was already massive, with all the branching dialogues and cutscene variations… But this new one turns out to be twice as big (~90 cutscenes compared to ~40 in tentacles)! Albeit be careful, since this scene is not for everyone, and most players will likely find it extreme.
The writer continues working on the new junkie character (no character model yet) that you’ll meet at the Spring Mansion location. Currently this is an insignificant character whose story may or may not be expanded in the future.
Anyway, the writer’s main focus is the Silver Mine. This open world storyline will feature Alisa being a newcomer in a hostile environment where every day brings the new challenge involving moral dilemmas, unique NPCs with their secrets and hidden motives.
Also, the Spring Mansion story rework is in progress, we’ll talk more about that when we have more to share.
Reworked the Theft system. It’s now simplified and easier to implement via code. The chance of successful stealing is now constant and is based on the skill level:
25 points—75% chance of success
50—80%
75—85%,
80—90%
and so on.
Did some polish on the NPC scheduling, including:
Improved NPC’s collision detection
Implemented conditioned dialogues that depend on the NPC’s state or activity;
Hiding NPCs on the level if they’re involved in the cutscene currently playing
Made a prototype model for the Lindcliff Museum

The Farm location received some visual enhancements—added cabins, sheds, beds, workplaces and made a few technical adjustments.
Almost finished making the game footage for the console. It’s a Doom-like shooter that Stuart will be playing during his daily schedule.

We started working on the character customization that is about to be introduced in the v0.5.
And before you ask—No. The fact that we’re working on the v0.5 content doesn’t mean we’re finished with the v0.4 and are gatekeeping it for some reason. We still need to finish some code regarding the NPCs’ movement. 🥵
So far, here’s what we’ve got:
Goosebumps that’ll cover the skin when Alisa is cold

Created nail material for both hands and toes that includes:
Length variations (for hand nails only)
4 possible nail shapes (that can be applied only after you’ve reached the maximum nail length)
24 colors and 15 types of nail art
Polish that wears off over time (only visuals atm, no mechanics yet)


A new highly detailed nipple texture (~10x more detailed than the old one) that supports:
Areola radius variations


Different colors

Later we’ll add the functionality that supports nipple hardening when cold (this system works only with Arousal atm).
All these nipple features will be used not only for Alisa, but for NPCs as well.
Upgraded the material for Bodywriting—now the writings are able to appear gradually across different body areas
Reworked the skin lighting to give more volume and depth to the character
