New OC - Ragga

So it's been a while, but I've been working on a new OC and I finally finished her.
I'm trying to lean more into my toon style, I like the more cartoony look over the more realism approach I do sometimes.
Ragga has been rattling around in my brain for a while so I'm glad to finally nail down her design.
I'd love for her to be a character in NSFW videogame or something. imagine her fighting the undead in a fantasy adventure and just being a hot game character.

To break it down I always start with a rough sketch, then refine that sketch and do the proper line art. then I create the color flats and fill every area with its own color and I keep the layers separate. That allows me to easily change the colors afterwards if I need to tweak them. its good habit to do this anyway as if you're working with clients, they always will want color alterations. So its mainly to make changes easy to do.

After that I then lock the transparency of each color layer, then get to work on shading. I always start with the most boring part for me... which is doing all the clothing... I never really enjoy working on accessories etc... but if I do it first then I get to work on my favorite part last which is the skin... I loooooove painting skin. Whilst I'm doing this I'll keep switching the whole thing to grey scale to check my values. working with color can trick you and make you think you're values are good... but they aren't... always worth checking with a grey scale filter to make sure your character POPS.

Once I've gotten all the shading where I like it, I'll then polish and refine it to the final version. this is where I'll blend in all the colors and try to get rid of outlines and paint in all the finer details that no one seems to notice haha.
