In progress.
Added 2019-10-30 00:45:59 +0000 UTCHey there Patrogles. I just want to give an update on what I've got on the go. Like usual I have a load of things going at once. I do have a focus though, and it's to get a lot of smaller things out. Smaller than Salad Fingers and Cream to be specific. After SF11 I worked on the Flylo video and the Pre Chewed food ad but neither were 100% my projects. Then I had a break and mainly did art over the summer. Now I'm back working on animation and videos. I want it to be more like old times where I'd get smaller things out more regularly. I've no plan to spend a whole year on a single animation again. So I started loads of things. Some are making good progress and some are very early. Here's a taste.
- Not Stanley - the lost episode. Made from the remaining 2010 audio from the only session I ever successfully recorded. (I tried to record more since but it wasn't right). I've been meaning to dig it out and animate it and I finally started. I'm attempting to make it look just the same, but it's hard not to improve in some areas.
- WallerFM - we recorded way more than enough for the next episode. It's just a case of sifting through 12 hours of waffling and giggles to grab those little chunks of gold.
- Sock 6 - completely written. Storyboarded and some concepts are drawn. This is what I'm really excited for. Unconnected to the other episodes like usual. Though I might end up spending too long on it. Not really a quick one but definitely in the works.
- Burnt Face Man - I've had 5 unfinished scripts sitting in folders for nearly a decade. It's ridiculous. Where does that time go? Luckily my references are never so current so they haven't aged too badly. I actually rewrote one completely so it might seem that I'm going to make it. No promises. I might hate it. Interesting: I have at least 3 partially animated BFM episodes that I got tired of and so abandoned. They didn't age well.
- The News Hasn't Happened - I wrote about 8 episodes. I need to do the next one before the Queen dies, because she's getting on a bit. It's no good making fun of the Queen if it's handed over to Charles by that point. He's not funny. Also the whole disrespect thing. Anyway I started it.
- Probably other stuff. I wrote more Health Reminder stuff. A new series a bit like Sock but all connected. It's a big thing though. Things keep growing. I've probably forgotten something that's 80% done. Who knows? That'll do for now.

...And a Salad Fingers tour? I love this idea.

2019-11-25 21:04:49 +0000 UTCThank you for taking the time to explain that, I appreciate it. That all makes a lot of sense and I totally understand. It's taken Chris Morris 10 years to make his 2nd film. A lot of people like sorter videos anyway. At this stage, with your Patreon following, it definitely makes more sense to release short videos rather than disappear for several years to work on a big project.

2019-11-04 03:10:48 +0000 UTCSo much has changed in my life since I thought of it. It's still there. It's still sitting on paper and in sketches and in my mind. I really want to make it happen. I just don't like the idea of not putting anything out for 5 years and then suddenly appearing with a film that I then have to beg people to watch. I also feel like I have had much better ideas since. I also know that if Cream and Salad Fingers 11 took a year each to make, and The Meadow Man looks to be over 1 and a half hours long, that's a long time. I'd certainly need a team - and animators need paying properly. It's something that takes so long to learn. I couldn't be one of those directors who tries to get everyone to work for almost nothing (I've met those people). Anyone experienced enough that I can fully trust them creatively is probably getting paid already better than I'd be able to pay. There's good paying corporate work out there for animators. But still I intend to make it happen one day, somehow. Perhaps in small installments. Though I wrote something similar in small installments and I like it more. Maybe I'll just rename it The Meadow Man. Who'd know?

2019-11-03 23:24:09 +0000 UTCWell you can drop down to a lower tier. Your name wouldn't be in the credits though. I wish Patreon would introduce some kind of permanent reward system. Like people who have donated over a certain amount in total get unlimited access to certain tiers. I mean if I don't forget I'll still put you in the credits even if you drop to a lower tier since you've been supporting for so long, it's just how would I keep track of such a thing for multiple people? Regarding the content frequency - I still try to make everything as enjoyable as possible. It's striving for that level of detail in Salad Fingers 11 every time would just slow things down. The amount of people that actually complained that it looked too good compared to the old episodes was quite astounding. Anything new I make will certainly have to reach my own personal standards - and those standards have risen considerably since the early days, but I think people in general would rather see more stuff than less frequent overly polished stuff. I expect pretty much everything I release to be over 6-7 minutes in length anyway.

2019-10-31 19:48:51 +0000 UTCI think WallerFM could work as a radio station in a GTA game. Maybe Rockstar Games would be interested.

2019-10-30 09:40:31 +0000 UTCSock is one of my favorite series made by you. I don't have a count on how many times I've rewatched all of it, so I'm psyched for the next installment to come out, whenever that may be!

2019-10-30 09:14:28 +0000 UTCI want some news (TNHHY) first please. I really need them because i got rid of my tv 10years ago and didn't watch any mainstream news emission since. It's exactly the same content after all.

2019-10-30 05:42:16 +0000 UTCWhat are your thoughts on Spoilsbury Toast Boy? Not many people talk about it, but I seriously think it's among your best and strongest work along with Sock and SF, definitely a forgotten gem. I was absolutely floored by the remade version you did for Umbilical World - I thought I'd been fully transported back to my 13-year-old mind, dunno if anything will shock me like that ever again - I've never even HEARD of an animator returning to a project after such a long time and not only capturing it again, but enhancing it - making the nightmares real again.

2019-10-30 05:39:13 +0000 UTCNo mention of Black and White or Spoilsbury. Hopefully we'll still eventually see more of Jonathan and our little Toast Slave. As far as focusing on shorter stuff. I actually always preferred your short little one-offs like Christmas, the first three Socks, and the blob who went to the sandy-colored planet. But how will you handle payments for shorter animations? Sure, I'd glady pay $50 for a 15-minute Salad Fingers, but would I want to pay $50 for a 5-minute Spoilsbury or BFM episode? Well, yes, so maybe that's not a good example, but I think you get my point. Would you consider cutting the donation prices if you were able to crank out a 5 minute video every month or every other month?

2019-10-30 01:08:14 +0000 UTC_The News Hasn't Happened Yet_ is hysterically funny. Can't wait for the next episode. Until then I guess I'll have to settle for murdering, and beans on toast.
