I love the fact you picked up on bourbon being a machine, since apparently the IRL horse ran at the exact same pace (ie feet/second ) each race that they ran

Additionally there were a few other VA's at the movie release with Mayano's VA, those being Tokai Teio, El Condor Pasa, and Silence Suzuka and you can find a video on Youtube of them there talking with Tom Cruise even.

If you google "mayano top gun top gun maverick poster" you will see the postcard sized posters they handed out in some select theaters replacing Tom Cruise's character with Mayano in her G1 outfit.

2025-10-03 05:12:53 +0000 UTCA triple crown is not possible for Teio sadly, in real life horses can only get a triple crown at the age of 3. How they did it in the anime to make more sense is that it's basically something you can only attempt in your junior year and the races for the triple crown only happen once a year. Right now Mihono Bourbon is aiming for the triple crown because it is her junior year, which means a year has passed in the anime since Teio attempted getting a triple crown herself. I am very much looking forward to seeing your reactions to the rest of the season.

2025-10-02 15:57:40 +0000 UTCOn April 5th of 1992 Tokai Teio returned to the racetrack in the G2 race Sankei Osaka Hai placing first with Golden Hour coming in second. Tokai Teio entered the Spring Tenno Sho favored to win. However on April 26th 1992 the victory went to Mejiro McQueen and Tokai Teio placed 5. This was the first time since his debut that Mejiro McQueen was rated 2nd to win and marked his 9th career win as well as a double Tenno Sho win. Tokai Teio was then given another medical exam after the race.
