Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 8-9 Full Reaction

I get what you mean by liking more grounded fantasy. I think it's when the story is character 1st and the world building isn't just about magic and important events. High fantasy tends to focus on big world moments to tell their story and every day life just doesn't exist. With this world you could have a spin off following any character and it could believably work. This series does a great job at giving you lived in time with these characters so that those big fantasy moments have more weight to them. When Rudy and Eris were teleported it mattered because we had a massive understanding of what life and people they had lost and why getting back was important.

The Magic Guild, the Adventurers Guild and the Soldiers of Shiria were in a panic. The Demon King Badigadi had appeared in human lands. Though known to be a peaceful entity, The Demon Kings were powerful demons who could control entire areas. The Immortal Demon King Badigadi was known to be an old demon even during the Laplace War 400 years ago. As Rudy started to converse with Badigadi a professor approached him and asked Rudy to stall King Badigadi as long as possible until the Mage Guild, Adventurers and Soldiers showed up to take care of the problem. Badigadi wanted to challenge Rudy because Kishirika was so excited to talk about Rudy and made special note of how Rudy has more mana than Demon God Laplace. Badigadi admitted he was feeling a little jealous. Rudy wondered if maybe Kishirika was wrong. To which Badigadi acknowledged that though she could be messy at times this wasn't something she would get wrong as it would mean that NO ONE in history has had as large a mana pool as Rudy. Badigadi reminds Rudy of one of Kishirika's sayings "Laugh first, think later". He then remembers that she was laughing the last time that she died. When Rudy's powered up stone cannon hits Badigadi his whole upper torso is blown off though Rudy notices there is no blood. As Rudy looked away and then back Badigadi had revived though he was now about Rudy's height. When Rudy later catches up with Cliff and Elinalise who were "busy" the entire time. Elinalise is surprised he has shown up as it's only been 2 years since she left him, and she didn't expect him to get there for another decade. She was able to take the dangerous northern boat route from the demon continent because she was traveling with Badigadi. Though he jumped off ship mid way to fight the oni king, which he did until they both got tired and started feasting. This is why in Letter of Invitation we see him eating and drinking surrounded by oni. In the aftermath of Rudy's defeat of Badigadi no one questions his power or if the rumors about him are true. He is the big man on campus. P.S. is George becoming more of a Weeb? Is he thinking he has the ability to cross space time media and influence character action? Now all we need is to get him to admit that Pursena is best girl.

Daniel I accidentally deleted my blurb about Badi. If you feel like it you can probably cover it more in depth than I could anyways since I dont feel like writing it out again.

Love the attention to detail the with fictional language switching to Japanese to show Sylphie's perspective. Such a cool choice. Also her voice acting in this scene is phenomenal. The direction is beautiful, the viewer watching her appear concerned and confused when they start speaking another language and then resign herself and looking down... Cutting back to her looking worried every few scenes... you can really imagine a myriad of emotions building up. She is uncomfortable and anxious, and finally when they switch back to common language and Nanahoshi claims she was the cause of the mana disaster the floodgates open. It's always the timid ones that you have to watch out for! Lol really cool episode, lots of reveals and even more questions. EDIT: Also rewatch the opening scene of S1 if you want a reminder/hint at what happened to which of the three students in the beginning.

Well, he is kinda ageless as well. Not that he cannot age at all, but like he can get thousands of years old without actually becoming old... Kishirika is a great example, since she is still in loli form after a few hundred years but should actually be of proper succubus-like proportions once fully matured.

Blue haired girl was exactly where she needed to be and did exactly what she needed to do. I personally thought the way the anime handled her here is to bring the audience into Rudy's level of understanding of the situation, which isn't much. For us light novel readers it is the wink wink nudge nudge at what we know is going on elsewhere.

Loving the theory crafting guys, very entertaining and great to see what your thoughts are with the series at this point. A little cut content in regards to Cliff. After all the trouble with Eris and that Blessed Child, Cliff's grandfather was worried for his safety so he sent him away to study. His grandfather's last words were to remind Cliff that although he was very talented he should be mindful of his flaws. Cliff celebrated his 15th birthday at the university friendless and alone. Cliff was impressed by Zanoba when he saw a display of Zanoba's blessed child strength. One of the theories on the origin of magic is that magic was created as an attempt by mortal man to imitate the powers of the ancients as displayed in part by the abilities of blessed children. In trying to get to know Zanoba, Cliff was surprised to find that Zanoba had no interest in returning home but that Zanoba studied so hard to learn magic solely for his dream of figure making. Cliff had given up on his dreams, he was shocked that someone already so blessed by the gods like Zanoba was working so hard for such a reason, and then Zanoba mentioned Rudeus. Rudeus Greyrat once again respected by someone who Cliff looked up to. Then Rudeus himself arrived and Cliff was less than impressed. Rudy was constantly apologetic, he always seemed sad. Rudy must be a fraud, he was tricking everyone somehow. Yet he was able to cast without incantation, he did seem to be a dedicated hard worker. He seemed able to make friends, Zanoba, Lilina, Pusena, and Fitz. Maybe he was wrong to dismiss Rudy as a fraud, then Rudy saved him. Cliff swallowed his pride. He needed to take his grandfather's words to heart and evaluate honestly not only his strengths but his flaws. To aid in some of your theory crafting about Silent Sevenstar, I suggest you review the scene of the accident in episode 1 and 2 and Turning point 1.

a nice thing the anime did was that the song nanahoshi was humming and the beat rudeus was tapping with his fingers are the same, its ツバサ by undergraph

Good episode, guys. Let the theorycraft go wild! A cute blue haired girl is a cameo for novel readers, this character might appear again in season 3, that's why content with her was cut. You still can deduce who is she based on the appearance, but it's up to you and your theorycraft if you want to. Let's go over some skipped content, shall we? 1. Fetching staff. This was funny, but basically Rudy asked Fitz to *wink-wink* fetch him his staff with implication of *for the love of god, please send help, call for teachers or whoever you can* and she took it literally without undestanding his hint. 2. Eye of foresight. It was stated that his eye does not work on Badigadi at all, probably because he is related to Kishirika. 3. Elinalise curse. She said that she cannot stick to one man, but it's more about vitality. She likes to do a dozen or several dosens times a day, and you have to be a superman to keep up with this, because you will be drained till the last drop with her. Mad respect to Cliff for being able to keep up at least partially, because she still has to restrain herself 4. Nanahoshi. Oooh boy, where do I even begin. Regarding two people who she is searching for, Rudy knows a bit more, and despite it not being stated here, you can find out yourself if you will watch first minute or two of the ep 1 season 1, so you do you, no info from me here. 5. Sylphiette parents. Her reaction was so hard because she really loved them, and both have perished during teleportation incident. Figures she would be furious when she will see a person who is responsible for her parents death. Thanks for your reaction again, thursday has become a meaningful date because of these episodes with you. I do love listening to your discussions a lot, so please, keep it up and be yourselves as always.
