Basically metia from Re:Zero, if you will. So it has real purpose of hiding Sylphiette personality, as well some other useful perks that will come in play later.

There will be a lot of skipped content along season 2, some important, some not so much, overall not as bad as Re:Zero, but still could be pretty important, especially at the end of this season. I strongly recommend you to either read it yourself, or allow some cut content explanation in discord or patreon, because it could 180 your perspective not only on some standalone situations, but on important characters as a whole. Some cut content regarding certain character should be considered spoiler though, as people expect it to be covered in season 3, but apart from this one character, everything else should be fair game and will enchance your perspective on the story. Still, this is only the suggestion, so you do you, I will enjoy your journey either way.

Derick Redbat complained about both of them all the time because he thought they were wasting their potential. His dying wish was for Ariel to take the throne. That moment truly moved her. The Terminator Boar was also a monster caught up in the Teleportation incident. Normally they have packs of Assault Dogs with them. Imagine not just people in the sky, but having a Monster just suddenly appear in your garden. Silphiette's hair turned white because in her shock and distress she used every last bit of her mana. As for taking on the identity of Silent Fitz, Ariel is shown in this episode mostly as she tries to appear, sweet, friendly innocent. She is none of those things. Until Silphiette she has never had a real friend. She is a degenerate, and a hedonist with no higher purpose until Derick gave her one. Fitz is a tool. A tool to win the Crown. Ariel is a master manipulator. She not only threatened Silphy into her service, she stole her identity. If you look for it as a manipulator gaining control over a useful tool you will see how she wraps Silphy around her finger. Even when a year later she tries to leave and go to school, letting Silphy go is meaningless. Where does Silphiette have to turn? Of course she is going to stay with her "friends". Yes Silphy killed the assassin, in the LN it describes Silphy's spell blowing her arms and legs off. Minister Darius *Baldy* is the Asuaran noble who tried to have Eris kidnapped, he is also the one who assaulted Lilia while she was working as Ariel's maid bodyguard.

You should definitely skip the second OP, as it contains spoilers for later in the season. By the way, it's never mentioned in the anime, but according to the light novel, Fitz's glasses are a magical item. They help Fitz protect Ariel.
