Yeah I agree with Gai, watch 16 and 17 back to back, then the ova, they happen in the same timeline, never watch 16 then OVA then 17, it will break the tension

Ep 16 and 17 are MUCH better watched back to back. The ova canonically fits in between but it really breaks the stride the two episodes build when watched consecutively. Nothing changes if you watch the OVA afterwards. So I highly recommend watching it in release order as intended and then the ova after.

*First an order of business. The OVA Eris the Goblin Slayer fits chronologically in between episode 16 and 17. How you want to watch it is up to you though.* Rudy and the gang are currently on Millis Continent. They must cross it and cross the ocean again to reach the Central Continent. Sauros Boreas Greyrat is not the only Boreas Greyrat. Philip talked about how his brother James is head of the house, and all Boreas Greyrats love beastfolk. Back in Turning Point 1 Ghislaine swore on the names of the Dedoldia Tribe and her Master the Sword God Gal Farion. As for the Ranks they are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Saint, King, Emperor, God. Paul you will remember is Advanced in Sword God Style, North God Style and Water God Style of swordsmanship. Rudy is Advanced in all elemental magics except water where he is ranked at Saint level. Eris is Advanced in Sword God Style and Beginner in Fire Magic. Norn and Aisha were born when Rudy was 6, the Fittoa Disaster happened when he was 10. Rudy is 11 on his way to 12. Aisha and Norn are 5. As far as Rudy's behavior goes it is no excuse but regression is part of development. Elinalise Dragonroad is more than just a horny elf, though sadly I can't say much without spoilers. Just know there is more narratively there than what you are seeing right away.
