So there is answers to the end of this fight, it just isn't explained in the anime. I think they rely on the audience figuring it out but its hard to do if your not given the info. Jinwoo had got armour that protects his hands, its ability that protects him from ALL hand injuries, that was how he stopped Igris's sword. And in the LN Jinwoo actually pretends to be unconscious to catch Igris of guard but we don't see Jinwoo's thoughts in the anime or the manwha. Jinwoo also in all his battles uses the skill fatal strike, which tells Jinwoo where his opponents weak point is. So Jinwoo pretends to be unconscious to catch Igris of guard then stabs Igris in his weak point, no matter how powerful someone is, usually your weak point is in the neck and eyes and other areas. In the manwha Jinwoo also stabs Igris in a gap between the armour underneath his mask, right through the chin. Igris may be a magic beast but he has the same weak points that a human would. In many games, you can have a incredibly powerful monster but they have a easy weak point to target, so I never really had a problem with it but I do think the anime should have been more clear, like Jinwoo could have figured out Idris's weak points earlier in the fight but couldn't target them, to show the audience that Igris DOES have weak points. Igris has his own personality and him dropping his swords shows that, he is not some mindless monster, and why do we need to know about Igris's personality? Well he may not be gone for long as you now know haha XD

Absolutely right. Fantastic fight, but we sure better get some answers to why things like this happen.

I LOVE the Igris fight and the whole choreography behind it but I definitely agree that there is either a massive case of plot armor at the end or that there has to be more behind it. I mean Igris could have easily killed Jinwoo since the beginning of the fight but he chose not to, even dropping his weapons. Why? Is it because (like Jinwoo said in earlier episodes) the "system" needs him alive and therefore doesn't intend to actually kill him? Why and what is really at stake? Really curious as an anime only watcher 😅

the fact that he survived that is a MAJOR cause of a plot shield.. He should have never survived that. But i do agree with graham that every factors in combat counts but that just felt extremely cheap.
