I think it is definitely more towards his nature than him being in a young body. You can't really put yourself in his situation as I don't think any normal adult would be attracted to a 10 year old even if you go back to being 10 yourself. But Rudy has been jerking off to loli porn since he was 14 for 20 years. I dont think you could put yourself in that situation to "justify" his actions nor should you. I think it is very clear that it is something wrong with him that is causing and it shouldnt be justified by he is in a young body.

Paul had just managed to knock Rudeus out and was tossing him in the back of the carriage when Laws (Syphiette's father) and Sylphie walked up. On seeing Rudy tossed into the back. Sylphie screamed Rudy's name and silent cast a Intermediate tier attack spell. Paul managed to block it, but thought that with the spell's speed and power if it had been sent at anyone who wasn't on his skill level they would have died. "Damn it, Rudeus. Don't go teaching her that crap..." Laws immediately crouched down next to Sylphie and told her that Rudy was being sold off to a noble family, and that if she ever wanted to see him again she would have to get strong enough to rescue him. Sylphie vowed to get stronger, but no one will tell her where Rudy has been sent. In short Sylphie has been traumatized by the sudden disappearance of her only friend and crush. As for Lord Sauros Boreas Greyrat, the anime cut the scene a little short (thankfully), in the light novel, they continue for a little bit and Rudy realizes that the Dedodia maid is aware that he is there. (Beast people have super senses, smell, hearing, etc.) As she runs past him, Rudy notices that she doesn't really seem upset. He believes that she is an exhibitionist. Rudy comments on Sauros's actions and Sauros says that his wife passed away a few years ago. He then points out the mysterious red orb.

People die quick on the Six Sided world. Don't be surprised when people treat 15 year old's like adults. 2. People don't tend to break old habits without backsliding. Expect a bunch of ups and down's not a simple bell curve. This show is about the drama. I can address a little your discussion at the start about Sylphiette and the one at the end about Sauros, however they depend a bit on information that is cut content from the anime. If you want to see read my reply to this comment. I will avoid spoilers only talking about what isn't covered.
