Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Episode 6 Full Reaction

Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Episode 6 Full Reaction

Yeah Eris has definitely been out of line before. We've definitely called for Rudy to defend himself last episode when she was pomelling him and called out her dad for enabling her. That said I think part of what makes Rudy's actions extra awful in this episode is that while yes, Eris shouldn't physically assault him, there's a difference between attacking him head on and directly while he has the opportunity to defend himself, and him sneakily trying to sexually assault her. There's also the added nuance that he is mentally an adult and also the fact that he probably can't fully retaliate because of her and his status. In short this show definitely gives a lot to talk about :D

What I find weird is that everyone saying that he doesn't get punished or there is no consequences to his actions, when even in this episode he got beaten up mercilessly. I think the probleem is people too easily forgive Eris for being violent and beating him up daily for everything, so they don't see how only this one was actually justified. Like if she wouldn't be this little monster, and only beat him up after this, or in similar situations, I don't think people would be this unsatisfied. Even you said that you had hoped that she tells his grandpa, and he beats him up, but she already did, and pretty brutally too. I don't get how can people just ignore this part.

Not defending Rudy, Even as a 14 year old *when he stopped his social interactions* he should know better. I'm going to play a little bit of devils advocate and argue that Eris's actions are the more egregious. First Rudy is physically smaller and weaker than Eris. He is a 7 year old boy, she is a 9 year old girl who has been doing her sword training longer and getting into more physical fights. Rudy has PTSD regarding the physical and sexual abuse dished out by his school bullies. He flinches during sword training when someone is in his face and seriously attacking. Eris's aggression triggers him, it's why he was so slow in their initial meeting to use his magic, even though he was well able to do so when Paul attacked. Paul after sending Rudy off with Ghislaine started training again because Rudy almost beat him. Eris also should know better. She was expelled from school due to her violence against the other students, that's why she has to have a home tutor. As you pointed out Eris is in part being enabled by the authority figures around her. However another piece of that is they just don't know what to do with her. Rudy getting her somewhat under control, has been a relief to them. Eris continues to expect Rudy to do what everyone else has done when she beats them up and start avoiding her. She is amazed that he alone is so persistent. That is part of why she didn't make such a big deal about the SA, and has begun to soften toward him. Eris like Silphie doesn't have any other friends.

Very interesting. This explains a bit of the lack of reaction and ramification for his actions with this one. There's definitely a big difference between the comedy types, because I would almost never interpret this as a comedic scene 😬😅

The Game Club

@Daniel Webb Absolutely. We definitely call out Eris' actions as totally inappropriate. However the biggest difference is Rudy is an "adult" and this makes his actions even more egregious. Both are wrong and shouldn't continue.

Check out the latest video 😁

It also amazes me that no one criticizes Eris for making an unsafe living and working environment for Rudy. Even before the inexcusable groping scene. Eris has been beating him for a month just because she doesn't want to study, or just because she feels like hitting him. SA is wrong, so is DV.

What Rudy did is obviously bad, that scene is an anime only scene, and was added for comedic purposes, in the LN that doesn’t happen, asian sense of humor is different than the western one, but i understand why some people dropped the anime after it, what i can tell you is that it is definitely worth it to continue watching it.

This is true, you shouldn’t skip the opening, in some episodes important information is given there.

Adrian Jansen

you re still skipping the op? you might miss important details and worldbuilding as all the openings for s1 are just the part of the ep with music on top

Yeah we're really interested to see how they go about growing him as a character and endearing him to the audience. letsgooooo!!

The Game Club

Rudeus is definitely very scummy. You will hate him, but you will grow to like him. It's tougher in the anime, since it leaves out alot of his inner thoughts. And lets goooo!
