Ah! Yeah the assignments from FUG thing makes sense. In regards to the card game - It would be nice to see the relationships fleshed out, so even though it's not action I do hope the anime can start to take its time with stuff like that

The reason why Akraptor wanted to drop Miseng out was precisely because he has a soft spot. People die in tests. A lot. The safest place for Miseng to be, is as far away from the tests as possible. Floor 20 isn't a bad place to live. He just used the rethoric he believed most likely to convince the others to agree. Wangnan is most representative of the usual test takers "why should we drop the weak kid out, if we are going to drop anyone it should be someone strong"
As for the Bam going against the rules - Love does explain to the viewer what is happening here. Fug slayer candidates get extra assignments from FUG. And love does name some example quests that the most recent Slayer had in the past like "Pass while making everyone else fail" - which is consistent with Viole publicly saying "All of you must fail here" (Which Love instantly caught on to)
I will also say that the anime is cutting down a lot to get to the action faster. Which I'm okay with - but yeah I also understand why some people feel disappointed that it does. Basically the parts you are talking about not being that into are already a super speedrun of the social interactions and there's quite a bit of manhwa readers that would prefer the card game to be fully played out, there was also a bath scene that the anime completely skips. But imho - the anime does a fairly good job at balancing what it has to shorten or cut to fit the anime in the amount of episodes it has while still conveying the respect this studio has for the original work. (which again something I can't say for season 1 - that one cut and changed things without any purpose other than not respecting the source material :) )
For episode count - we don't know at the moment but it seems that this season of the anime will get pretty far into season 2, assuming it doesn't have multiple openings. I would not be surpirsed if we get 26+ episodes but we do not have episode count confirmed at all (which I feel like if it was a 13 episode season that would have already been confirmed)
